Handy, through the Handy platform, offers technology and information to book home services, but does not itself provide these services. The provision of services is the responsibility of independent professionals scheduled through the Handy platform. Tasks booked and paid for directly through the Handy platform are performed by background checked professionals*, and are backed by the Handy Happiness Guarantee**. This process involves: a) Pre-screenings – Potential Professionals must provide detailed personal information, and validate their home service experience. b) Credential Verification – Handy partners with Jumio to use computer vision technology to verify the identification credentials of potential professionals. c) Background Check – The background check screening is performed by Checkr, an accredited third-party background check provider. Checkr's search includes national, state, and county databases stretching back at least 7 years, and longer in certain jurisdictions. The purpose of these checks is to identify offenses that may disqualify potential professionals from using Handy. Not good at all. I paid for 3 hours and got 1 1/2 hours. Not everything was cleaned. I tried calling. The people who answer transfer you to a voicemail. I have been waiting for a call back for 3 hours. I am supposed to have them come tomorrow to help me unpack which now can't be done back cleaning still needs to be finished first. I got an email which was not in coherent English. I don't know if they are sending someone to finish the job or rescheduling my unpack. The email is not clear. I tried calling several times but am only transferred to customer service voicemail. Not acceptable. I tried to cancel and they want to charge me $15 for canceling in less than 24 hours, which it is not.

I scheduled a cleaning of my house through Handy's website. The 'Pro' never showed up or contacted me, so I canceled it. Everything was done through the Handy app and there was no actual human to call, since the 'Pro' never answered their phone or responded to my app messages. Although Handy was very quick to respond by email and claimed they would give me a full refund without the cancellation fee (since they were clearly at fault), it left a very bad impression and I felt like I wasted time preparing my house and waiting for no reason. I don't think I will use them again for any service. There are plenty of other cleaning options on Angies List.

Not well they spray and wash everything. Miss a lot of things and don’t dust anything that is sitting on top of furniture. They dust around everything and their bed making skills are non existent.
