The worst painting project as long as we have owned our home - well over 30 years. 1st the painting crew that surveyed the house was not the crew that ended up completing the work. To this day I still have places on the exterior that I keep finding that they missed - The worst trim and edge work I have ever seen. Interior - Nothing was properly prepared or mask off. We ended up with overspray on everything - It took us week to clean the house - they tried to clean but made it worse. The walls are not properly coated and have light and dark patches - Im going to have to repaint again. Go Green charges a premium price and provided a amateur paint job. Stew doesn't inspect the final work or press his workers to do a proper job either - leaves it up to the home owner to be the bad guy.

I hired Go Green on August 13, 2018 and paid $15,175 in full on Oct 5, 2018 as the work was being done. Stewart Ampel pressured me into paying the remaining 50% balance even though the work was not completed yet. He told me, 'I will make sure the work is done right and if you have any problems we will come back and fix them.' But, that was untrue. Today is February 3, 2019 and the roof and windows are leaking in four places. I called Stewart over and over starting in November about several problems with the job and getting my lifetime guarantee as was promised in my written contact. Stewart is currently incapacitated according to his son, Scott, but they are still advertising for new business. Scott is running the business now and is unable to keep up with all the responsibilities. Scott promised to fix all the problems but will not come to my home or return my last several phone calls. I had to put two tarps over my brand new roof to stop the rain from pouring down the walls. It also leaks from all the windows on one side of the room. I still cannot use the room. Neither Stewart or Scott did any work. They hired other people to do it and did not inspect the 'finished' project. They blamed the other people for the problems instead of taking responsibility and fulfilling their obligations to me. It looks like I will be taking them to small claims court to get enough money back to hire another contractor to properly finish my enclosed patio. I still don't have my guarantee (which wouldn't be worth anything anyway.) Their email address is not working. Their BUSINESS ADDRESS is a home in a gated residential community in Williamsburg. Do not trust these people.

Stewart initially promised installation of windows/doors by Thanksgiving of 2018 which did not happen. They were installed three days before Christmas 2018. A county permit for installation was not filed for the work. Stewart said this would save money and time and I stupidly agreed. The overall quality of the Alside Windows is very good but the installation not so much. Steward never came out to inspect the final installation. I immediately had a problem with one of the windows having a LOT of condensation on the outside the week after Christmas - called him and he said the windows needed to acclimate to environment. It was 60 degrees outside at the time and I was not using any heating/cooling inside. There was NO problems on any of the other windows/doors. The condensation issue continued. A rep from Alside came out and replaced one of the smaller windows because it was fogged. Two weeks later it was fogging again. Now all the windows are fogging. Stewart's response was to have Alside keep replacing the windows which will not go on forever because of warranty. Stewart does not have an active email system. He answers phone calls but is fast talking. I have called the county to request an inspection of the window to determine what in fact is wrong with it. I will pay the inspection fee and likely a fine, but an objective analysis is needed. I would NOT recommend working with this company. Steward never told me that getting a permit would require inspections from the county as the project was in process - inspections maybe would have avoided all the hassle for the last year.

Angie's List matched me with Go Green Home Improvement Co. When Stewart came out, he was a very fast talker and was asking me about paint color and what kind of paint I used etc. etc. He was here for no more than 15 minutes.
Stewart then pulled out a piece of paper, which I thought was a written estimate and I signed it. Stewart then asked me for my credit card "in case we move forward with the project". Next thing I know Steward charged my credit card $2700.
I have called him trying to get out of the contract, but he will not let me.

Darrel does good work, and wants to make sure you are satisfied. Anyone with pets that have a screen room of any sort should go with this Petscreen product. An 11# cat was 8' up the screen, and it held, and another one has a tendency to use it for a scratching post - it has held up to that so far. Petscreen is vinyl clad fiberglass, and I hear that a pit bull tried to get through it for an animal - he was running full tilt, hit the screen and ended up on his butt after bouncing off the Petscreen!

Workman Darrel is good, and he cleans up before leaving so there is nothing for the dogs to step on to hurt their feet, and he often works alone on the job.
