Glass and Mirror Pros is in my opinion the LEAST professional
business operating in Central Florida. We started out rough with the owner
telling me he was about to go on vacation for two weeks and wouldn?t be around.
How do you respond to that but say ?OK ? I the customer will do my best to work
around your vacation.? And then upon our re-scheduled meeting, we were supposed
to meet at a framing store, he was a no-show with no-call. To be fair I had
been a no-show at the first meeting.  I
went there on my own and did the work of picking out the frame myself even
though he had said he would meet me there to help me. The people he sent to my
house to install the mirror and shower were what looked like to me, special
needs adults that he was doing a favor for some pasture at a Church. It feels
violating when you realize that what looks like ?homeless sign guy from Lee
Road? has your gate code and this feeling is compounded the entire duration
they are in your house. The first visit one of these people who looked to me to
be ?special? tried in vain to explain to me how a perfectly good window needed
to be replaced, but to us, this just seemed like the low rent hustle of some
urban street vagrant trying to convince you to buy his mix tape. You stand
there and listen because it means so much to them but the whole time you are
searching for that moment you can tell them ?I wish you luck with your future
endeavors? and walk away. Upon the install date they were given explicit instructions
to call me if they needed me for anything, because not feeling safe around
them, I locked my dogs on our glass porch and went to work on my garden. What
does he do. He unlocks a glass door with a dog barking at him and proceeds to
get bit. Because of his gross negligence my dog was quarantined for 10 days.
The worst part was that his partner, who seemed equally incompetent except for
what seemed like a sixth-sense for conning money out of people. He called me on
the following Monday and tried to shake me down for quick cash. If I can
remember correctly, he said something like ?less than a thousand will make your
problem go away.? Can you imagine being in this situation with animal control
at your house, and what seems like the missing link trying to shake you down
for money? I will say this about the owner. He put a stop to their scheme and
was very sincere in his apology. He couldn?t stop them from threatening me with
litigation over a dog bite they cause though. All things considered though I
would rather live in a place without glass or mirrors, a place even without
walls ? no .. I would rather live in on the park bench where I think these two
employees probably rest their heads at night than hire Glass and Mirror Pros to
do anything for me every again.
