The nearest company that they can send out is around 100 miles from the Stafford location. They also told me that the warranty is only applicable to the original home owner. The 5 year warranty that we have means nothing because they can't look the information up for us.

We bought the garage door opener at Home Depot and paid them, professionals, to install it. It has been nearly 3 months that I have been trying to get in contact with someone at Genie Garage Doors to come look at my malfunctioning garage door opener and have been getting the run around. I have lost 2 days worth of work as well as other expenses, not to mention time and frustration, of trying to resolve this.

The company came and replaced both computer boards, the wall unit, and then they told me they would not replace anything else. I had an electrician come, at Genie Garage Door's recommendation (but at my cost), and spend over 2 hours looking at my electrical system and found nothing wrong with the electrical work. The electrician was even on the phone with Genie where he was told there was a short in the low voltage doorbell wire. The doorbell wire was good, according to the electrician.

I have been in touch with the secretary of the VP and called the corporate office of Genie Garage Doors to try to get this issue resolved peacefully and professionally. I have asked them to please call me outside of my work hours so that we can connect, and never once have they agreed to do that.

At this point, I am extremely frustrated with this company and my garage door opener light is still on.
