Gary Munson Heating & A/C

Not good at all. I have been a customer for 5+ years having purchased an annual A/C service agreement. A couple of months ago I received an e-mail informing me that a new process was implemented in making appointments for service calls. I provided three dates and times over a three week period. A response was sent indicating my third choice. Yet the date was not confirmed — more likely it was pending. So today was the day. My service window was 8:00am-12:00 Noon. At 10:15am I phoned the office and was told I was the next one on the list. At 12:05pm I called the office and canceled the appointment. I expressed my dissatisfaction with their new appointment system and their lack of punctuality. Instead of an apology I got excuses. Well, I am quite happy to take my business elsewhere.

Extremely poor workmanship and service. No permit (required) was applied for until I forced the issue 2 YEARS after I found out just how bad the installation was. Their response was horrendous and unprofessional. They failed to seal the air handler and did not match the unit requirements to the electrical specifications, which could have led to an electrical fire. Once notified, they took several months to pass inspection, which they failed once on 2 different issues. Electrical work was also done illegally. Avoid this contractor at all costs.

Went great. Service person, Steve, was very nice and so very knowledgable. Pricing was very decent. He didn't rush. Made sure everything was cleaned out. Went above and beyond his job.

We went for almost two weeks without AC based on the estimates and opinions of other companies. Finally, expecting a $2,000 replacement on a compressor we found Gary Munson Heating and AC. Alex came out and was both honest and professional. Seriously, that means a a lot! Turns out it wasn't the compressor at all and the repair to get us up and running wasn't even 10% of the original few quotes we got. I was both in shock and relieved. In a world where everyone is out to get everyone and take them to the bank, this speaks volumes of integrity and commitment. We will be recommending Gary Munson and his family to everyone. Seriously, customers for life!

My mother had a service contract with this company for a couple years for a certain percentage off future parts & labor. I was with her when the guy at her house gave her a price for the work that needed to be done, taking into account her discount.
A few days later they come back after finally getting the blower motor and everything was done fine. It wasn't until a few weeks later my mother tells me the price wasn't what she was quoted previously, when I was present and saw and heard the quote spoken from the technician's mouth. I was furious. I feel as if my elderly mother was taken advantage of. Even if they were only quoting the price of the part or something,, it was still misleading as an answer to the question "how much is this going to cost" and I feel it was intentional.
If you decide to use this company, ask for a written quote before agreeing to anything.

I own a small commercial building and the ac was not working.  After calling the usual larger HVAC companies and being disappointed with the lead time and price quotes i decided to try a smaller company. I found Gary Munson AC on the web and called them.  They responded the very next morning at the time i requested.  They were quick, fair priced, and ultimately extremely informative on how to prevent future malfunctions.  i would recommend and will use them on my residential property.

2 years ago I had them check out my a/c unit. They did a good job but I asked them to call me back for an estimate and they never called. I called them months after and they said they would call me back and never did. In January 2014 I called them to get a spring a/c check up and they said in March they will call to set up an appointment. They never called. In April I called them and we set up the appointment for the spring a/c  They were good. But days later on a Friday at 5pm, my a/c did not work. I called Gary Munson's phone numbers, called the sons cellphone number left voice messages for them to call me asap. No one called. I called back 3 days later and the told them I had an emergency and left numerous messages and I called 3 numbers and no one responded. They said someone will call me back about what happened. No one called. If you get them to come to your house they are good but after they leave your house they already forgot about you.

They were very professional and very knowledgeable.

I called this company based on its ratings to have some work done in my business. I left my name & number & was told Gary would call me back..I wasn't even afforded that courtesy.....I would never call them again for anything

Been having issues with my unit and knew it had a bad coil. Was getting prices for replacement because it finally quit on me. Gary suggested replacing the part rather then the entire system and that saved me $2100 over a new system. This is in a house I am selling. Ac works great and blows cold. I'm very happy and the price seems reasonable. I was out of ac for almost a week waiting on parts and that sucked, but he did offer me a window unit to use for the bedroom in the mean time. I'm very happy with the customer service. The tech was very friendly and explained the entire process. Done in 2 hours and I am cool and comfy. I'd recommend to friends and family.

We were thoroughly pleased in their determination to do it right and their professionalism. They came out in a very quick manner. They obviously know what they're doing, and they have a very strong work ethic. I can't recommend them enough! They were extremely fair in their labor costs, too, and less than half than what another company had quoted me.

THEY'RE GREAT. I'VE USED THEM FOR YEARS. MY MOM'S USED THEM FOR YEARS, SINCE THEY'VE BEEN IN BUSINESS. THE PRICE WAS EXCELLENT, ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY GAVE ME A DISCOUNT. USUALLY THEY GET BACK TO ME PRETTY QUICK LIKE IN THE SAME DAY, BUT ONCE THEY DIDN'T GET BACK TO ME FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS.

This company is dependable with knowledgeable employees. The price was consistent with other air conditioning companies in Orlando. They are trustworthy and professional.
