Garden Traditions combines the expertise of a Bachelor's Degree in Landscape & Ornamental Horticulture from Auburn University with decades of experience in every facet of the Green Industry in Florida, and around the nation. This combination of academic studies and a lifetime of practical landscaping experience comes together to allow you, the landscaping consumer, an opportunity to install a DIY landscape of which any professional would be proud., or, alternately, to hand a pre-designed blueprint to three or more landscape contractors and obtain truly comparable Apples-to-Apples bids for your landscape project.. In the residential landscape market it has typically been impossible to compare landscaping bids because each landscaper provides his own bid, all varying in scope and detail. Many do not even provide a sketch! Garden Traditions steps into that gap, closely listening to each desire that the clients express, deftly combining them into a design that makes dreams come true!

Mark provided very high quality plants and he and his team do high quality work. Mark is an expert with Florida native plants. He redesigned our front landscaping and he added very nice bushes to block the outside view of our lania. High quality plants are so important. I absolutely love the Gardena bushes he provided.

Garden Traditions is that rare combination of knowledge and skill that made them a joy to work with. Mark completely re-imagined our backyard and pool surround, taking into account our specific needs (low maintenance, dog-proof / dog-friendly, make the best use of existing plantings), and translated them into a beautiful design. He presented the design, took the time to explain it, and gave us the option of using his company to do the work or use someone of our choosing. After some research, and getting quotes from other landscapers, we decided to use his company. He and his installation crew were great. Excellent communication throughout the job, took full responsibility for the (few) inevitable hiccups that happened. Went above and beyond the scope of work, kept everything neat and tidy while the job was underway, and was very flexible with schedule. We will be hiring them again!

Mark and his staff did a spectacular job with our property. He had an excellent paver company install pavers on our driveway and make a sidewalk to the backyard. He made a binder with his plan for our yard which included picture of the plants and flowers. Then they proceeded to make our yard beautiful. They were all hard workers, polite, and very knowledgeable. We highly recommend this company.

Mark did a fantastic job redesigning our landscaping around the front of our house. He provided us with a couple different choices of design based on our initial input and was flexible and accommodating when we made some modifications to the design to stay closer to our budget. Mark is very knowledgeable regarding the types of plants that will survive best here in central FL and require the least amount of maintenance over the long term. He was very thorough in his work, kept the worksite clean during the project and after seeing the results, it is obvious that he takes pride in his work. We've already had a couple neighbors remark to us how lovely our landscaping looks now. We look forward to working with Mark again on our future landscaping projects.

Great service with attention to detail. I did have to did up a couple of sprinkler heads covered with landscape fabric and mulch. Also a number of termite bait stations were dislodged and piled on side of home. Had to get pest service back to replace. Everything else perfect.

Mark with Garden Traditions Designs exceeded our expectations in every step of this process. If you have ever looked at landscape designs/plans, you will know it is not easy for the average viewer to picture what the end result will look like. This process can be a bit nerve-racking, but Mark provided attentive guidance along the way. His consideration of my property and how the plants would look and thrive in just the right places was impressive. The detail and effort Mark puts into his work is astounding and you simply cannot get a better bang for your buck around Winter Park. He presented an end result that was different than anything we had seen before, and entirely genius. With Mark's knowledge and experience, he was able to suggest plants that flower year-round. Our yard is now a secret English garden getaway! I am so proud of how our yard stands out in Winter Park, and even more pleased with the entire experience Mark provided.

We hired Garden Traditions to redo out townhouse courtyard. Irrigation is provided by the HOA. When we moved in we have problems getting adequate irrigation for our grass. Also the area does not get much sunlight and we have a few dogs. Needless to say we ended up with an area of dirt and a few weeds. Working with Mark, he worked with us to come up with a low maintenance, dog friendly area. To maximize the area and still had some plants, Mark recommended plants that climb a trellis. The rest of the area is artificial turf and pavers. The area is absolutely stunning. Rather then dreading going outside we love it.

I recently hired Garden Traditions to landscape an area at the front of my property badly damaged by the hurricane. I also decided to redo my foundation planting at front of house. Mark's design was far beyond anything I could have done myself. He worked within my budget, completed the job on time with results far beyond expectations. My wife and I recently hired Garden Traditions to handle our front plant bed and a series of planters that run along the side of the house. Our expectations were exceeded.
