I used Leo in 2013 to seal two homes. He completed the job but I had to keep contacting him to make sure it was done.
In January 2014, I contacted him for another job. I really didn't want to go with him because I remembered how much of a hassle it was to get him to complete the work but I went with him anyway because I thought I would get a break for repeat service. He looked at the home before in 2013 and quoted me one price but after re-examining it he said he had to charge me $100 more. I went with it because I just wanted it to be taken care of. He worked on it and a month later the tenant had some issues with rodents. Not all the areas were sealed up as promised. So I contacted him on 2/11/14, 2/19/14 and 2/25/14 and 2/27/14 and finally got a response on 2/27/14. He promised he would look at the home on 2/28/14. On 2/28/14 he said he was behind on a job and wouldn't be able to get to the tenant to later that evening but that he would call them. I didn't hear anything back from him so I checked with my tenant on 3/3/14 and was told that he did not contact them in any way.
I have another job to do which I contacted him on 2/8/14 about and yet no movement has been made to look at this. I won't be using his services moving forward but I do expect him to honor the agreement to service the previous home for 1 year should any issues come up.

It took several months and trips into the attic by homeowner to solve the issue as scheduling return trips always seemed to be an issue for contractor.  Great pitch, not too happy with service.  Personally I wouldnt use them again if the issue were to come back...

Overall good experience, although the animal was never caught and after a couple of visits, the cage was removed and a pretty deep hole was filled with dirt and rocks we provided. Some kind of spray was applied to the area to prevent further unwanted animal visitors. The company owner was friendly and pleasant and did the job himself. He could use some improvement though, in communicating when he's unable to show up, as he failed to do this a couple of times. Keeping the customer informed, would have earned this animal trapper an excellent rating. However, I would hire him again and would recommend to others, as he seemed to know what he was doing.

Came out to catch suspected armadillo on May 2.  Would not honor Angie's list coupon for 10% off (said it didn't cover trapping???Go figure, they are a wildlife trapping company and the coupon doesn't say anything about what is or is not covered).  So I paid them the full amount and they set a trap by a hole under the house and jury-rigged a flimsy screen around the rest of the hole in an attempt to try to create a funnel to coax the animal into the trap.  Nothing happened for over three weeks and they didn't return or check up by phone.  On May 25 I noticed that the trap had been sprung (with no animal in it) and the wire funnel had been trampled down (probably the armadillo returning to the hole).  Called them, got recording and left a message.  No response so called again on May 30.  Phone clicked a couple of times followed by silence and then I got a live person (thought they were trying to make an outgoing call and probably picked up by mistake).  Said they'd be out the next day (May 31) at 11am and to notify the gate to let them in (which I promptly did).  Never showed or called.  Gave them a few days in case they intended to reschedule, but no response, so called again on June 2 to see what was going on.  Left voice message....no response.  Called again this morning (June 5) and left a message on their machine that if they didn't want to call back or take care of my animal problem, to please refund my money and come get their trap.  Still no response after a couple of hours of fuming (despite the voice message that says they'll call back within 20 mins.).  All this is surprising since there were never any issues at the initial visit. They asked if it was a problem that they wouldn't honor their coupon and I told them that if that was their policy, then that was their policy and I paid the full price (as I needed to get rid of this animal).  From other coments, it appears that they were willing to trap an armadillo for a lot less money than what I paid, so I'm at a loss as to why the service was so bad.  I had previously dealt with another provider for an animal in my attic and they came out to check every few days and they sealed up the holes with no problems.  Only thing I can surmise is that when I didn't immediately hire Florida WIldlife Trappers to permanently seal the hole (for an additional $300), they must have lost interest in this job.  Others seem to have had better luck, but I'd stay away from these guys.
Response from Florida Wildlife Trappers Inc.
"Ok, I understand Customers have became upset, One thing that I tell all customers we may or may not get the animal, simply because the animal could already be gone or their is another way around the trap, and I always let them know what needs to be done, Customers that only want to do half of the job get a limited service, if the animal can go around the mesh as seen i was restricted to where I could set the trap and we are not a non profit company, When I explain certain things to a customer of what needs to be done Im not upselling its what has to be done. Honestly, I dissaprove of customers who want something for nothing and if you do call somebody else"

They showed up on time to bid the job, and set the traps to remove the squirrels. They called a few times to reschedule  checking the traps and to seal the attic, no big deal at least they were communicating. The areas where the mesh was placed on the roof junction above my front door looks obvious and very sloppy. Several off ridge and plumbing stacks don't have any mesh on them but my dryer vent does. Great for a fire hazard! I called 7 days ago after hearing more activity in the attic for a recheck. My concern was a squirrel was sealed in and would die up there  There have been three different appointments set up. They have missed all three appointments. On one of the resceduling phone calls I was told if I had a dead squirrel in the attic the whole house would smell. Am I supposed to wait for my house to stink before I attempt a fourth appointment? What about my dryer vent? Most of the mornings this week have been wasted waiting on them. My experience is once you have paid in full their service is non-existent.
Response from Florida Wildlife Trappers Inc.
"Unfourtanately, We have had some issues with setting up your appointments partially due to scheduling issues. Your call was concerning but you stated that you did not hear anything lately, therefore I am pretty sure that your home is clear we will come by and check the perimeter, the screen over the dryer vent will be removed it is initially put up there to deter any squirrels from using it and to help them move on. Your home will be taken care of"

They did capture and remove 2 animals but I still have the same issue. I was told they would bring me another trap but have not received one and my animal is still digging and living under the shed.  I did answer yes to using them again however I would like to find someone local.
Response from Florida Wildlife Trappers Inc.
"Good Evening, In response to your concern, we removed two animals but trips made in a job exceeded just two we will go above and beyond to satisfy a customer so if you have a concern please call us and will try our best to satisfy the customer to the best of our abilities. Also, if you would like to borrow a trap that is completely outside of our trapping agreement and we should not be held accountable for that. Thank you for your report, FWT."

I have a barrel tile roof & squirrels had tunneled their way under the tiles to a point where the tiles opened under an attic air vent.  The vent, itself, had been installed with its own screen where it opened onto the outside roof, but the tile opened under it at 1 corner providing access to the attic.  The trappers sealed this vent & all others of every type on my roof, both from above on the roof & from below in the attic, using both wire mesh and expandable caulking.  They did the same to every roof tile opening onto the flat portion of my rear porch, which had probably been the squirrels' starting point as they headed under the maze of tile tunnels to the attic.  The trappers went on to seal any other potential trouble spots.  Prior to all of this, they had set traps in the attic to make sure that no critters were already there before they sealed the access points.
As for the price, I expressed surprise that it was so high.  They later reduced it substantially & offered, free of charge, to trap & relocate an armadillo living under our porch.  The final price was $1,500.00, but the result was well worth it.  They are very thorough & skilled professionals, & their work is guaranteed for 1 year.  How these 2 fairly tall trappers managed to seal, much less reach, some of the remote areas in my fairly large attic is impressive.  Moreover, based on what other Angie's List subscribers have reported about this company, I am confident that if the critters locate or "create" another route (they haven't yet, & its been cold out there), the trappers will return & do whatever is necessary to keep them out.

I think that one would grade on basis of performance.  The armadillo was not there so bottom line there was no armadillo.  So he wasn't able to capture the armadillo.  I'm fairly certain that if the armadillo was in the hole, he would have gotten it.  The armadillo decided not to be caught.  He did his job.  I paid the money, but the armadillo wasn't caught.  He was very punctual and he came out when he said he was going to come out.  I have no beef with that.  I think for him to do a better job, it is wishful thinking to put a cage in front of the hole.  It's strange he doesn't have one of these cameras that is on a wire that he can poke into a hole and see whether the armadillo is there or not.  So that he could tell me right there if the armadillo is there or not.  From that aspect, I thought he should have had a better tool to flush out or determine if the armadillo was present or not.

We discovered a raccoon in our attic in September. We called Leo as he had good reviews and offered a coupon discount.Had a quick response and came to our home and confirmed the racoon was in the attic and explained what he was going to do for us. He found out on the roof where the racoon was getting in and out and placed a trap near entrance with bait. He left the trap up for weeks and modified the trap  to catch it  but  the raccoon was never caught  and has not returned. ( I believe it left soon after the trap was left ). He did what we needed - rid the racoon from attic and happy with his efforts. He did call periodically to check in and promptly returned my calls and came on time everytime.

I have had ongoing rodent issues (roof rats) for 3 years.  I have gone through 3 different rodent control providers in that time with varying degrees of success.  This past spring the provider I had been working with failed to return my calls when I had an urgent rodent issue.

I found Florida Wildlife Trappers through Angie's List and brought them in.  I have not been disappointed.  Leo, the owner is fantastic.  When I explained to him the issues I had he assured me that he would do whatever to solve my problem.  He went over the outside of my house and found some places that rats could be getting into my attic (that other providers had missed) and fixed them.  For the rats that may have still been in my attic, he set traps.  Once I smelled the telltale side of dead rodent, I called him and he returned promptly removed the dead rat.

Roof rats are persistent however and found there way back in (and eventually to a trap).  I called Leo and he immediately came back out to remove the dead rat.  He went over my house again and found some new potential entry areas and fixed those as well.  The problem seems to be solved for now, but I know if I have any issues I just need to call Leo and he will be back.

I would highly recommend Florida Wildlife Trappers.  Leo is professional, persistent and he  has lived up to his promise to solve my problem.

Decided to use this company based on reviews and they were part of an Angie's List Big Deal $150 worth of animal removal service for $75.  Company responded to call quickly.  Had a problem with a family of racoons in my backyard.  The company came out and set the trap.  Nothing caught after a week.  He returned to switch out bait and moved trap to other side of yard.  Next morning had caught 1 raccoon.   Within that next week the trap caught another racoon and opossum.  Have not seen any raccoon since.  The company humanely relocates the animals out in the country area away from residential areas.Would definitely use this company again.

When I heard noises in our crawlspace, I tried finding a wildlife trapper on line.  One never called back.  Another faxed me a long intimidating list of their charges.  I didn't like not knowing what I was commiting to, so I kept looking.  I joined Angie's List  to see the reviews.  Florida Wildlife Trappers got such good write ups I thought I had to try.  I left a message and less than an hour later, Leo called back, apologizing that he could not answer when I first called.  He came over that night.  He checked and verified there was evidence of "upstairs neighbors".  He quoted us a firm price for all of his services.   He came back the next day - on our schedule - and closed all entry points along the roof line and set traps.  He told us what to expect every step along the way.  He came back in a couple days, removed the carcasses, re-set for a second round and after a few days came back to check.  With no more varmints, he cleaned up and left.  He has since followed up by phone to make sure the problem was fixed.  I have to say it was a surprisingly pleasant experience.  He is just great.  I would absolutely use his services again and recommend him highly.

We had animal noises behind a wall and up in the ceiling.  I called two names from Angie's List.  The first company I called never returned my call.  The second number I called was Florida Wildlife Trappers.  When I called them, I was happy to hear a live person on the other end of the line...  Leo Cross, who I assume is the owner of the business, came out right away.  I was happy to see him as the noises were unnerving.   He was friendly and professional.  He did a thorough inspections.... crawled in an attic crawl space through this small opening.  He as went  up on the roof, etc.  After looking at the evidence, he quoted a price that was less than half of what my neighbor had recently paid to a large exterminating company for her critter control. Once hired, he came back several times to check the traps.  After he was confident the critter was gone, he closed up the opening the raccoon (we think) was using to get into the attic.   The house has been nice and quiet.  I would highly recommend Florida Wildlife Trappers!

He is excellent.  He is very pleasant and professional.  He did a very good job.  It's a real problem, living in Florida.  It's hot here all the time.  There are problems with small squirrels, and they are determined to get into the attic.  He is very thorough.  The follow-up was excellent.  I had another company that only set traps.  This guy really looked around to find where they were coming in.

We had an armadillo in our yard for a very long time.  It had dug a hole underneath the pool deck and I noticed that the pool deck was starting to show cracks in that area so we decided to try to remove the armadillo.  I called Leo and he was out that day and set up a trap in that area.  I liked the fact that they were a catch and release company.  I am an animal lover and didn't want to hurt the armadillo and I told that to Leo.  We also didn't know if there might be more than one under the deck.  I believe after the first night, the trap had gone off, but nothing was in the cage.  Leo had also made a mesh barricade and it looked like the armadillo came out and crawled right over the barricade, maybe setting off the trap.  We don't know, but the armadillo apparently left.  After that, Leo set another trap, revised a bit.  He would also check around my yard for other signs of entry or activity.  Two weeks later, we have not seen the armadillo.  Leo filled the hole with mesh and dirt and it has not been disturbed since.  He did find a hole under my fence and caught a possum and released that.  Then he caught a raccoon.  He also has put mesh at the bottom of that fence and covered that hole up.  We did not capture the armadillo, but Leo told me to call if I saw it again in the yard.

Overall, the experience was positive.  They are very professional and call you back right away.  They spent about 2 weeks checking in with us which, to me, was a long time for the price we paid.  Plus, they are willing to come back if we see the armadillo or notice it is back.  I personally think the trap probably scared it off.  In any case, I do recommend this company.

Leo responded quickly to my query and came out promptly and on time. He assessed the situation and explained it to me. I liked the fact that he trapped animals to Back to Nature Wildlife Refuge.  He came out several times without charging for each trip as some companies do.  When he was sure that the problem was resolved, he finished sealing up the entrances, disinfected my attic and fixed some damage.  I would definitely use him again, but hopefully won't have to.
