We received four or five bids, and Emcoval was only $900, whereas the others were all at least $1600. We were skeptical, but hired them anyway. They had an opening in their schedule and started work just a few days after we got the bid. They pressure washed, sealed, and painted all the exterior surfaces including the trim, soffit and fascia. I would say it was a little of "getting what we paid for" in that the grass hadn't been weed-whacked in a while, so the grass next to the house was a bit tall. Other painters will trench around the house to get below the ground line a bit. In this case, the grass next to the house got sprayed with paint. After it was done we whacked the grass down and then painted just above the ground around the house. It wasn't a big deal, and considering the price, we can't complain. It looks very nice. It is evident they backrolled the sprayed paint, because there are no spots of old paint showing through. They were very thorough with paint coverage.
