We wanted to switch Veterinarians after having our puppy pass away suddenly last month, and heard great things about East Orange AH. After our first visit today with our new baby, I can not say enough good things. I felt like they saw me and my pets as individuals, not just another appointment. Dr. Agatheas took time to chat and answer questions, and the techs were SUPER sweet with my pup. They made me feel like I was making great choices already and were personable. The front desk staff took the time to chat with me about grooming, and asked questions about my pup and loved on her. I just got really good, warm vibes here. Not like some giant institution feel that some other clinics have. For those who complain about cost- pets are not 'cheap' care is not 'cheap'. Veterinarians often attend school LONGER than human doctors AND all are surgeons/dentists as well! They can't ask your pet 'What's wrong? Where does it hurt?" they just have to KNOW. Products aren't free, and neither is their time. I'm not sure why everyone thinks that suddenly because its a dog and not a person, it should be $20 for a doctors visit? If you can't afford the vet, don't get a pet. I found their costs to be generally comparable to the clinics in this area.

Valerie is a fantastic groomer, she's been grooming my pets for years; in fact, I followed her to East Orange when she left another vet clinic. I started taking my pets to Dr. Roden a few years ago, he's superb. He is thoughtful and kind, and really pays attention to what's going on with your pets. Occasionally I have used Dr. Jackson and Dr. Perrault when Dr. Roden was not available, and I found them to both be excellent. I used to go to another clinic where the prices were outrageous, and the care was getting sloppy. So glad I made the change.

By Sunday she could no longer get up to go to the bathroom. Called Monday morning and the dr just suggested that we put her to sleep. Didn't care to see her again. Called Lap of Love and by 7:15 that evening she was gone. The vets seem to care when your pet is healthy but not when they get sick. The pictures are a healthy Abby one month before she got sick and the second picture was taken 4 hrs before she passed. I believe her diagnosis was incorrect but she didn't care.

In every case over the past 15 years their service to our pets has been exemplary. They are caring, professional and concerned. We recommend them without reservation.

I told them that if it was just his legs that were hurt, I would like to do what we could to save him. I took him to East Orange due to my vet being on vacation.

They went above and beyond and used students to work/train on him. He ended up needing a leg amputated making his stay over four weeks. They did everything they could to help me offset the costs.

They have heart! I give them A's across the board.

We paid $100 for two poodles. On the grooming side, it's just Valerie. She's the best groomer there is. I've been going to her for 10 years. On the veterinary side, the vets are terrific, particularly Dr. Roden. He's very caring and he goes out of his way to provide the best veterinary care for our pet.

I took my cat Harley to East Orange Animal Hospital because he is overweight and has been having trouble getting around.  The staff was very friendly and extremely sympathetic.  Dr Roden was WONDERFUL!  He spent a tremendous amount of time with us as we recently moved here from New Jersey and we had been seeing the same vet there for many years who we were very comfortable with.  He did a full blood panel and put him on a strict diet with prescription food.  The tests came back and he promptly called with the results, again spending time to talk about them and discuss our options.  Harley is feeling much better even after only a couple of days on the food!  I have found my new vet here in Florida!!  Thanks to the EOAH team!

I got my kitten from the shelter he was healthy with vaccines up to date on May 30th. On June 2nd   I then took him to the vet to have blood work testing and stool testing before his surgery. The vet tech tested my kitten for fleas, she noticed there was flea poop but no active fleas, confirmed that I am doing everything right and applied my flea treatment that I brought with me. I kept asking about the fleas because I do not like bugs, and she continued to confirm he did not have active fleas on him and I am doing everything right. The vet tech took my kitten out of the room to do blood tests. He went through the exam with the vet to talk about the procedure for June 4th. That night I noticed my kitten scratching like crazy, I ended up finding fleas on him.  I called the vet and they wanted me to bring him back in and the confirmed that he did have live fleas. They offered to do a treatment that kills the fleas within 30 minutes.  The very next day I had an appointment at 7:30am for his surgery. Everything seems to have gone fine during the surgery. Friday he was given another pill for fleas just in case before he went home and I was told he had a soft stool. On June 11th, the Wednesday after the surgery, I noticed he was not as energetic. I called the vet, the vet tech said to bring him in to be check. The vet that did the surgery examined him and said he was just fine. At 10pm that night he was bleeding from the s****** and had an abscess on his lower abdomen. The emergency room said on a 5.5 pound cat there was "left sided inguinal area - 2 cm subcutaneous firm painful swelling warm to touch". Four hours later and almost $800 later, they said I needed to follow up with my vet. In the morning I took him in. As the vet tech pulled him out of his carrier his abscess exploded all over everyone. I was worried about taking my kitten home and using regular litter with an open wound. The vet advised me that it would be fine to use the regular litter even with an open wound. Which I did not do! The vet gave me a 2 week antibiotic injection and sent us home with the open wound. The wound size was larger than one and a half size of a pencil eraser. The next day I found a tapeworm in my kitten's stool. I called the vet because he was still having loose stools. We discussed medication options.  They told me to bring him in and help me administer the treatment. They tested the stool I brought in. They decided to give him Albon and a tapeworm pill for treatment.  Overnight he developed new symptoms. I had had enough I decided I was going to go to my old vet. I contacted the clinic to get all his records and they had them ready for me.
UPDATE:
The Bottom line here is:
1:  If on my Kitten's first visit the technician had responded to my constant request of treating him for fleas, just in case, he would not have had any fleas at all.!
2: The week after my kittens surgeries I called in to report that my kitten didn't seem quite right.  The Vet tech I spoke to said he should be seen right away and to bring him in. I absolutely DID NOT REFUSE A TEMPERATURE TAKING! ? They had done this multiple time previously. This a benign and simple procedure.  The vet, as she was smiling at me, assured me he was healing just fine. I believe this to be a careless mistake,  but my kitten could have died.  They are trying to cover up and blame me so they do not have to feel or be responsible for the outcome.
3.  The responsibility lies with the professionals I hired and trusted to care for my Kitten.  I believe they should reimburse me for the Emergency room visit of $694.96 and all subsequent bills that were caused by this error for the other Animal hospital bill  for $300.11.

I had to border the cat at  the same time for six days. I was worried about leaving him for so long. They kept me updated. They even text me px after surgery. I felt my pet was well taken care of. The post surgery instructions were very clear. My cat is doing really well.

The staff, and Dr. Perreult, in particiular, is friendly, professional, extremely thorough in dealing with me and the dog.  The receptionist and all the staff members are friendly, caring professionals.  Dr. Perreult took the time to research various dog foods for us to determine the best diet for our dog.  I've had some good vets - no one has ever done this!  He really does research - a great deal of it - and takes pain to have us understand various choices and conditions. Our dog's procedure went very smoothly and the staff was very helpful once our dog had recovered and was ready to go home.  I can't praise this hospital enough.

The front desk staff are very friendly. The techs have been good dealing with my difficult cat and seem to really enjoy their job. I've seen 2 of the 3 vets on staff and have liked them both. They listen and ask questions and seem to care about mine and my pets' needs.
The only negative I have is that both times I have been, I have waited in the waiting room for at least 10-15 minutes past my appointment time. However, I was never rushed during the appointment, so I guess they are taking however much time they need with each patient.
We just moved to town, so I was glad to find a vet office that we liked on the first try. I'm glad we joined Angie's List!

Dr. P is amazing! He was very attentive to our dog and very patient in gaining his trust (our dog id weary of strange men). All teh nurses and techinicians are really nice and do their best to make the best feel at ease. They are also very honest and don't tell you you need procedures and tests that you really don't just to make money.

I just moved into the area and needed to get my Husky neutered.  I called and set up an apt on Thursday.  The vet and office staff were very friendly and helpful, providing training tips and lots of attention to my dog.  They had an opening next day for neutering.  I brought my Husky in at 0730 and received a call to let me know the surgery had gone fine and that he was recovering around 11.  I picked him up at 4pm.  Everything went smoothly and the staff was great!  I received a follow up call on saturday and brought him back to get a victorian collar (he wouldn't stop licking the surgery area).  Again, great service and attention to my pet.
