Contacted Dave for an estimate. He came over same day. Had estimate back to me within 2 days. Scheduled work to begin following day. Arrived promptly to begin work around 9am and job was completed same day. Very pleased with completed work.

I originally contacted him in October to discuss the job as I wanted to have the job completed by tax season as I get extremely busy. He kept putting the job off. The first thing that happened with my job was an indication of things to come. A drunk individual showed up to paint the pergolas in my back yard. He literally painted around the furniture. Dave had to come out to redo the job. He did not charge extra at that point. That is when things started to go downhill. As the project progressed, things were not getting done. I had a sprinkler that was supposed to be replaced, it never once. So consequently, I have damage to my foundation. The front porch was to be retiled. I emailed him the type of tile that I wanted. He looked at it and then contracted the work out. He said that the tile was too thick and stated that he would find something comparable. He tiled over the old tile.  The tile that he chose looks like indoor tile. The wrought iron railing was to be replaced, but the tiles crack when they are drilled.  The tiles were to be 18x18 and they are 12x12. I gave him very specific specifications. He did not want to seal the tiles and claimed that if he sealed it, the porch would become slippery. Now the grout comes out when it gets wet. I have had other tile people come out and they will not touch it because it was done incorrectly. The price was never discussed and I never got a written estimate. I was also served with a lien even though he is still completing the work. I have not received any receipts for materials or anything else. The notary that signed the lien is his fiancée.
