While installing the fence gate. they blew out my electric in our garage. work crew blew it off. My husband thought it was just a breaker switch so nothing was mentioned to the owner at the time. Months later and after we had a bad storm due to hurricane off the east coast, the fence starting leaning. after 2 phone calls to Dan still waiting for the fence to be fixed. Made 2nd call this week, Dan came out and looked at the fence but haven't heard from them since. fence is not only leaning but separating as well. During the call this week, I also advised him about his crew blowing out my electric in the garage. Seems like he just blew it off and is brushing that under the rug while I still do not have power in my garage.

The price quoted was higher than others but the sales person seemed more knowledgeable so we went with them.  The installation was completed on the day scheduled, quite quickly.  The next day it was noticed that some of the fence posts were leaning.  Also the fence gate springs were too loose and would not self close the gates properly.  A call was made for remedy and a crew came out within the week.  Unfortunately the crew just yanked on the fence to try to straighten it but it slowly went back to leaning in the following days.  The gates were adjusted some but not enough because they didn't pass the county self closing pool inspection.  So Datson was called again.  The crew came out a week and a half later and adjusted the fence posts and gates some more. The gates did pass inspection this time but the posts still lean though to a lessor degree now.  One later, unhappy surprise was that the fence was placed exactly six inches inside of where it was specified to be in the contract, on all sides.  This caused the fence to be placed right on top of a large rotator sprinkler head.  So we had to hire a landscape company to come out and move the sprinkler head away from the fence.  In all fairness, the contract does read on the back in the small print that "the Customer will be responsible to indicate to the crew the proper location of the fence".  So if you hire this company make sure you're out there with a tape measure to have the fence installed where the contract says it'll be otherwise you may wind up with problems.

Datson Fence put in three fences and gates at our residence recently. They gave a fair estimate. They completed the job on time. They cleaned up after themselves and were just great.

I am happy with their work, but it did take two separate attempts to actually get the vinyl fence straight. I felt the the first attempt was done in a lack-luster manner. The company did promptly send someone else out to complete the job correctly. This repair was completed almost a year ago and it still looks good.
