I first heard of this company when I was at Home Depot buying my home appliances and a guy came insisting on a Black Friday Deal “AC Tune up for only $8.88” if I could just think about how **** of a trickster this was …Never allowing this people come back inside my property again, totally scammers who will make your AC system fail, I’ve had COOL MODE WORKING PERFECTLY and my AC was giving me problems to Heating the house …inspector Ricardo who came and despite looking a good friendly person, he never finished the job on my AC pump upstairs due to “the NEST thermostat was in and out of fan”, tried charging me $380 just to do the thermostat installation, I refused and I did it myself, then there a fuse blown and he again told me it would cost $170 to simply change a “$8 fuse”!!! I refused again and as it wasnt enough now after I fixed the Fuse and Thermostat, just to find out they cut cooling system purposefully in the attempt to charge me for REPAIR, the AC fan is running and Thermostat is on Cooling mode but temperatures are reaching from 77F-85F leaving my family including my poor old grandmother suffering in the hot temperatures this entire time… THEY WANT TO RIP YOU OFF NO MERCY!!! DONT EVER TRUST THIS BUSINESS.

In March 2023, my dad started noticing that the floor in their Kitchenette was starting to cup. It got so bad that he tripped over a piece causing 2-3 pieces to come up. We called the company that installed the floor, and they came out. They started picking up sections of the floating floor and found water underneath. This was exactly where the concrete had been poured by Plumbing Today. We contacted Plumbing Today and the new plumbing manager came out to the house, found that the issue was their fault and filed a claim with their insurance company. After about 2 months their insurance company stated that Plumbing Today was not at fault and refused to pay the claim. After getting the denial we contacted Plumbing Today and after a couple weeks later, after placing several phone calls, we finally had a general manager call us back who refused to even try to help us. He told us to go ahead and sue the company. That is where we are today. In the meantime, we’ve spent $12,000 fixing the concrete so that we do not get anymore water damage. The water had also spread through the house and floor is cupped. Our brand-new floor will need to be replaced; this will cost approximately $30,000 including moving cabinets that are the floor. My insurance company came up with an amount closer to $60,000. We were willing to work with Plumbing Today but they refuse to be reasonable. I don’t know how much mold is under the floor and we cannot continue to take risks with our family’s health. We are in the process of having the floor changed and going into debt for $50,000 while we look for lawyers to resolve this.

Do not waste your money. It would take me all day to tell you all of the troubles and disappointments that I have encountered since having my brand new A/C installed 2 months ago. But a couple of the basics... The installation crew were very rude, rushed me through the signature (agreement) process without making sure things actually worked. After I refused to sign it THREE TIMES, he insisted he would not leave until I signed it. So I signed it, put big X's next to some stuff and immediately called and left a voicemail for the supervisor. They have been out here 5 times already. (2 months) Everybody has done something wrong each time and it continually freezes up. On one of the more recent visits, the technician needed to run wire (that wasn't installed the 1st time) but he said he did not have a way to do it. (It was the afternoon and hot so he didn't want to get in the attic). He said he could run it THROUGH my house and OUT a window. I said no way. You will just have to come back when you have the correct stuff to do it properly. My guess is that he called his supervisor because he came back inside 5 minutes later and said he had the proper stuff to install it. I'm still waiting on approval for a new unit. Mine freezing up 3 times within the 1st month means there is no way this unit will last long. (It doesn't work that great currently anyway.)

Purchased a Cool Today air conditioning system through Costco back in 2021. Smooth installation and the system has been working great. Had the unit serviced today by them and the service was outstanding. A shout-out to technician Chad Kane who was very thorough and gave us great tips on doing in-between maintenance between service visits.

CoolToday A/C Division Mr. Christopher Maggiolo On 7/11/2022 CoolToday A/C Division installed a new four-ton A/C System in our home and today was our six-month preventative maintenance “tune-up” visit per the CoolToday TotalCare Today Club. The service consisted of cutting a six-month supply of custom filters for our three returns, and inspecting all of the equipment associated with the A/C-Heating System as well as identifying any visible issues along with additional recommendations if not resolved during the visit of any issues found coupled with providing additional insight on what is available in the industry to enhance and/or upgrade our existing system as well as providing the associated costs – there was no pressure applied as his first question was, would like further information on what is available. Mr. Maggiolo was scheduled between the hours of twelve and two in the afternoon; however, he called at 9:15 AM and advised he could come earlier if were okay with an earlier arrival, which we were, and he arrived at 10:30 AM. Mr. Maggiolo went to work, kept his work area clean, and completed his tasks in a timely manner. Given our system is new by six months nothing major was found. After I explained the month PM I do with the system Mr. Maggiolo provided me some additional tips to enhance my monthly PM and given I advised him how I have been using the system with the various changes in outside temperature, Mr. Maggiolo suggested a change in how I use the system in order to get better results; which will be implemented starting today. I was extremely impressed with how Mr. Maggiolo handled this Preventative Maintenance “Tune-up” and the additional information that I requested that I asked point-blank if for my future PM Tune-ups and, if approved by the boss of the house, a couple of upgrades we are considering that we can request Mr. Maggiolo specifically for that work. His response was that “yes” we can make that request through the CoolToday Customer Service Call Center and it should be honored. Mr. Maggiolo’s technical expertise was self-evident, his work ethic exemplary, his professionalism outstanding, and his Customer Centered Attitude/CCA and demeanor was excellent. Looking forward to having him return to our home for the upgrades, if we decide to do them, and for our six-month Preventative Maintenance “Tune-up”!

Cool Energy Today replaced our AC/Heating unit and also redid duct work and rebuilt the structure indoors where the unit sits. Excellent work all around. The main installer, Melwing Gonzalez, was a hard worker, obviously committed to doing a high-quality job. He was also very pleasant and understanding of our time and needs. Would be happy to have him back for any work we might have. The other technicians, like Jose and Eddie, were also helpful and congenial. A good team.

Thank you Energy Today and Jaime DiDomenico for completing the work necessary to restore my power after Hurricane Ian. They came all the way from Sarasota to help and began work immediately after getting the all clear from the power company. The crew was professional, courteous and did a fantastic job. I couldn't be happier. I have been a customer since 2017 when they replaced my AC, and have received great service ever since. Needless to say, they were the first ones I called after Ian ripped off my meter, wiring, and weatherhead. I'm so grateful they now have an office in Naples. If you need electrical or plumbing....or AC...this is the company to call. They are EXCELLENT!

We elected to contract with Mr. Jaime DiDomenico/President of CoolToday, PlumbingToday, and EnergyToday for the year by taking advantage of his “TotalCare Today Home Partnership Plan.” Despite the work done on 6/16/2022 on our A/C System for whatever reason the blower fan motor crapped out. Mr. Edward Sanchez Olazabal of the Cool Today A/C Division who was scheduled to come between noon and 6 PM arrived early in the afternoon. We reviewed the history of our A/C System and then Mr. Olazabal inspected the unit. He confirmed that the blower motor has failed to include the surge protector. In the history of this Carrier Unit this was the third blower motor to go – blower motors for Carrier A/C Systems are useless over a period of time and the Zebra HVAC X-13 & X-Motor (Surge) Protector is useless given our experience – do not have either installed in your A/C System. Mr. Olazabal also showed the condition of the coil system in the attic, which unfortunately was missed during the inspection on 6/6/2022 during the initial Cool Today preventative maintenance inspection; the coil system was a mess - rusted and starting to leak. Mr. Olazabal gave us a quick estimate on cost to fix these two items, which he could do, but measured against the age of the system (9.75 years) we decided to have the system replaced. Mr. Olazabal took all the significant information about our system and passed it on to Mr. Mike Fishbein Cool Today North Sales Supervisor who called within ten minutes to provide us four options. Mr. Olazabal was very professional and has an excellent Customer Centered Attitude/CCA in which he did not pressure us one way or the other; he provided us the facts so that we could make our decision. Every question we asked him he provided a thoughtful answer and on the technical side ensured we understood what he was advising us. There was no charge for his visit; albeit we think the purchase of a new system may have been a factor in not charging us for Mr. Olazabal informative review of our existing system.

We elected to contract with Mr. Jaime DiDomenico/Owner of CoolToday, PlumbingToday, and EnergyToday for the year by taking advantage of his “TotalCare Today Home Partnership Plan.” Today the third of three divisions of Mr. DiDomenico’s company came to our house, CoolToday represented by Mr. Nelson Renderos. Mr. Renderos came to do our “Initial Inspection” of our A/C system and any subsequent maintenance, if required. Mr. Renderos arrived at 10:00 AM, the scheduled time and departed at 3:25 PM. It is important to know at this point in this review that since October 2015, every six months we have had an A/C Service Provider come to our house and do the six-month checkup of our A/C System! Based on what I observed today, what was reported to me today by Mr. Renderos the other two companies that provided the service prior to CoolToday could learn and benefit from the attitude, professionalism, and dedication to staying on the task at hand that Mr. Renderos demonstrated the entire time he was in our home. Mr. Renderos started off by having a conversation with me to get the history of our A/C System, which was installed in 2014, while we were living overseas. After that conversation Mr. Renderos went about doing the “Initial Inspection” which ran from 10:20 AM -to- 12:21 PM. It turned out the “Initial Inspection” also includes various preventative maintenance activities such as: + securing the capacitor on the outside unit to include ensuring its placement is not interfering with other equipment, + running water and sucking out the water with pressure from a shop vac so that any “gunk” in the drain line is removed, + taking a multitude of readings and documenting those readings with pictures that were shown to us, explained, and then emailed to us for our records, + securing all loose wires in the outside and attic units, and + cleaning the pan that sits underneath the unit in the attic as a brief list of what Mr. Renderos accomplished. Upon completing the “Initial Inspection/Preventative Maintenance” Mr. Renderos had identified four areas that needed attention: 1. the blower fan had never been cleaned, 2. the capacitor registered at 40 and should be 45, 3. replace the UV light and install location, and 4. given the static pressure reading, consideration for another return needs to be installed. On #4 above Mr. Renderos explained why and that when we decide to have this work done it is a specialized team that will come out, take measurements, determine the best location for the additional return, and then provide a quote for the work. On #1, #2, and #3 above, given Mr. Renderos clearly explained his reasoning for the work and the cost which we concurred and asked when it could be scheduled? Mr. Renderos stated he would do the work now, I signed a document and Mr. Renderos went to work and stayed working until all three tasks were done, documented in writing, and pictures provided of the completed work. Before Mr. Renderos left, he took pictures of our small and large air filters and advised that under our plan two frames will be built and mailed to us with six (6) disposable filters for each of the two frames so that our monthly changing of the air filters with my current lifetime filters, that require cleaning, can get a rest for the next twelve months because the plan is going to provide us the foam air filters in the custom made frames. After Mr. Renderos left, my wife directed me to ensure when the next six-month preventative maintenance inspection is due, that even if I must write the owner Mr. DiDomenico that she insists that Mr. Renderos is the CoolToday Technician that she wants in our home. As I stated, this was the third of three divisions that came to our home, and we are incredibly happy that we signed up for the “TotalCare Today Home Partnership Plan” and could not be happier with the response from the Electrical and A/C divisions of this company. In the world of honesty and transparency, we have run into a problem with the Plumbing Division, which now has turned out to be quite the disappointment from a management point-of-view, not technician point-of-view but hopefully it will get resolved. Despite the issue we would still recommend this organization and to get the best for your hard-earned dollar, the “TotalCare Today Home Partnership Plan” is the only way to go. Note – before you schedule any service, ensure you get the “package” that is produced, with a personalized message from the owner Mr. DiDomenico so that you are aware of what you are entitled to under the plan before any service is provided. Ours came after our first plumbing service and we were not as educated, as we are now, on what is expected from all the three divisions.
