They're very good. I just called them back again for another appliance. He was courteous and came right over. We've been dealing with him for a long time. He fixed what was needed and didn't try to sell something else. He just fix it and leave. I'd definitely call them again.

I accidentally dislodged the stovetop on my range. This caused the stove to arc and shut down. When the repairman from Conway Appliance came out he looked it over and told me stovetop needed to be resealed to the range. He didn't have silicone so, rather than getting the proper materials and coming back to do the job right, he told me to do it myself. Then he collected his money and left. . I tried to do this twice myself and it shorted out again. Very frustrated at this point. I called back to Conway Appliance and explained my ongoing problem, I heard the receptionist call back to the repairman. Rather then coming to the phone and speaking to me, I heard him say, " tell him to call the factory".
I tried one more time on my own and completely burned out one of the burners. Now I'm out the money for the new burner too. When the part comes I I will definitely is another company to install it and reattach the stovetop. This company has good reviews and that is why I used them, however my experience was certainly underwhelming.

The tech showed up the morning of December 12th 2014, a Friday by the way, and after evaluating the fridge he found the source of the problem which was a missing tube that connects to a collecting water pan underneath the refrigerator. We agree that the repair would take place on Monday December 29th 2014 since I was traveling for the Christmas Holiday and that would also give plenty of time to order the part and receive it for placement. I missed the appointment on December 29th, which the tech showed up at my home, and I did not cancelled the service. The next day, December 30th 2014, I called the company and acknowledge my mistake and we agree to reschedule for January 5th 2015 from 1-2pm. I was called at 2:31pm on January 5th 2015 to inform me that they cancelled the appointment on me and additionally to the 45 dollars on labor, 25 dollars on the part, they will add a 70 dollar travel expense as well. Now my issue is not the total amount they where charging for my missed appointment but the fact that they cancelled on me late after I made arrangements at work, making it seem like they where being vindictive and unprofessional.

"very sorry we cannot please a customer when they do not show up for an appt. that is 35 mins. away . A simple call from [name removed] would have solved this problem. by the way we sent the part to him free of charge for his refrigerator, hopefully someone else can take care of [name removed]"

After arriving before 1pm and waiting at the rental property for 40 minutes I phoned the office to ascertain what time the technician would arrive. (hoping it would be within the approximate 20 minutes range as scheduled by THEM.)
The "gentleman" on the phone was extremely unhelpful but let slip that the technician had not left the office yet. I asked him when he would be arriving and he told me "it is impossible to say". I tried to explain that using Google maps it would be very easy for him to make a good estimate of the travel time from his office to the address. I was shouted down by him and he told me that I had better use someone else. IT IS VERY OBVIOUS THAT THIS COMPANY IS NOT IN BUSINESS TO SERVE THEIR CUSTOMERS OR EVEN TO HAVE ONE SCRAP OF RESPECT FOR THEIR CUSTOMERS TIME. NO, THIS COMPANY IS IN BUSINESS TO PLEASE THEMSELVES AND TOTALLY AT THEIR OWN CONVENIENCE. Someone should advise this very rude and interrupting "gentleman" that we are in the year 2015 when GPS and Google maps gives almost exact estimates to travel time. I was not asking for an exact estimate, just an approximation. My office is just 4 minutes away from the rental home, so it seemed extreme to me that this company would not give me an estimate of how long they would be. Needless to say that unless they had a time machine they would not have arrived by 2pm. I guess the variable would be when the technician "felt" like leaving the office! Perhaps that was the part that was impossible to tell!!!! Upon getting back to my office and scheduling a very polite service I have found out that the travel time (according to Google) from their office is 45 minutes. So they would have been deliberately late. GIVE THIS COMPANY A WIDE BERTH AND USE A COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY CARES ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS!
Response from CONWAY APPLIANCE & REPAIR
"This customer called in to our shop at 1:15pm and demanded to know where her tech. was because he was late to her scheduled exact time appt. of 1:00pm when I tried to explain that her appt. was schedule between 1:00 and 2:00pm she became very irate and once again demand to know when someone would be there, I then explained the tech was finishing paper work and was getting ready to leave, she the once again got furious and screamed something and hung up on me. I called her right back and asked if we had been disconnected and she stated no I hung up on you I don't have time for this I demand to know the exact minute that some one would be there all while screaming into the phone and then proceed to rant about how to do business. I then very politely suggested then she find another company to help her. This customer is a property manager and I have done several other jobs for her with no problems at all. I'm sorry she could not be helped by us, but we will not be verbally assaulted on the phone. Needless to say we will no longer be doing service for this property manager. Conway Appliance Repair has been in business since 1959. the only was you stay in business that long is stellar customer service. We will let 56 years of doing business in Orlando and our A rated, Angie's list super service award winning business speak for itself."

Thank you, Angie's List, for saving the day yet again! I heard a clicking noise coming from my Kenmore refrigerator at about 1:00am this morning and immediately consulted Google to see what this meant (a relay or motherboard issue). I then read through your list of appliance-repair providers and all of their reviews. I called Conway Appliance this morning and spoke with Darlene, who was so pleasant and professional. I was given a one-hour window in the SAME day, which I also appreciate, not the four-hour window most businesses provide. Mark, the owner of Conway Appliance, came out on time, was pleasant, knowledgeable, and troubleshot and replaced the relay. I used to call Sears for repairs but never again. I am so happy and relieved!
