CAMAIR Airconditioning Inc

I first came across Mitch from CAMAIR when my AC went out on a hot summer day.  He arrrived a bit after two and diagnosed the problem from what I told him and had it fixed in less than 40 minutes. 
The next year  when the Feds, the state of Florida and Progress Energy wre all offering big rebates I obtained three estimates and Camair was the cheapest and Mitch installed my unit.   Mitch and his assistant did a great job and after they cleaned up outside of the new unit, there was no evidence that they were there. The unit has worked perfectly and I have Mitch out once a year in the wintter to do an annual inspection when the price is discounted.

It went good. They had a much lower price than two other companies. The other companies would have charged around $1300 dollars. This was almost half the price and I was really impressed with that. The person that came to do the work was friendly and professional.

There was one guy who was very professional, he completed everything in a timely manner. He cleaned up after himself, gave quick service, and responsive. I recommend him to anybody.

I TOLD THE SERVICEMAN WE HAD PUT IN A NEW THERMOSTAT, AND HE TOLD ME IT WOULDN'T HANDLE THE A/C WITHOUT EVEN LOOKING. HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT KIND WE HAD INSTALLED. HE CHANGED IT OUT WITHOUT SAYING ANYTHING, THEN HANDED ME THE BILL. THIS WAS THE FIRST I WAS AWARE OF THE CHARGE. LATER, I CHECKED UP ON THE PRICE OF THE THERMOSTAT WITH A COMPANY FROM THE YELLOW PAGES, AND WAS TOLD THE THERMOSTAT GOES FOR $28. I ASKED THE SERVICEMAN IF THE OFFICE WAS OPEN (IT WAS SATURDAY), OR IF THEY WOULD SEND A BILL. HE SAID THEY WEREN'T, AND IT WAS CASH ON DELIVERY. I TOLD HIM I WAS GIVING THE CHECK UNDER PROTEST, AND ASKED THAT THEY WOULD NOT CASH THE CHECK UNTIL I COULD SPEAK TO SOMEONE AT THEIR OFFICE. THE SERVICEMAN SAID SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME; NO ONE DID, AND THE CHECK WAS CLEARED ON TUESDAY. I WROTE MR BRASSART, THE OWNER, AFTER I HADN'T HEARD ANYTHING. HE WROTE BACK, STATING THAT I HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE COST BEFORE THE WORK WAS DONE, WHICH WAS TOTALLY UNTRUE.

The ad indicated that the price included 2 pounds of freon per unit. When the technician first got here, he said each unit needed freon & there would be a charge for it. When I asked the technician about the ad, he didn't know the ad covered the cost of 2 pounds of freon. Then instead of adding freon, he took some out & charged me for it.
