So I called them Monday morning after having no air the previous day (football season) thankfully it was a cool fall time Florida Sunday. So when I called the lady who answered the phone was very nice and ready to help. She immediately got me booked and it worked with my work schedule. When the tech pulled up I knew he was with Bob Heinmiller, very professional with a uniform on, and the van had the logo (this is important to me I have kids and a wife - do not need strangers in my home). The tech was like a good doctor - found the problem and resolution fast! He even had the motor on his truck so I didn't have to make another appointment to get it fixed. Before he replaced the parts he told me what the cost was going to be and informed me I still had parts warranty coverage on my system so I saved on the cost of the motor and capacitor too! I had no clue I had warranty - he could have charged me full price but he didn't. To me that says a lot about the company moral! I now have the stickers on my ac unit and magnet on my fridge so if I should ever need them I can call right away. I highly recommend this company from the phone call to the bill payment they make it a smooth and painless process!

They are very good company. When i called, they always showed up. They tried to fix my AC until they fixed it. When they couldn't do it, they sent someone out. If they could do it, they worked until they got the problem solved. They help you in anyway they can. I would use them again.

The a/c system is both energy efficient and cools the house down much faster than the older Trane heat pump it replaced. The only issue we had was the Lennox Wi-Fi thermostat that it came with was bad, but it was replaced quickly and under warranty. The solar water heater also works well and our FPL electric bill is now half of what we used to pay. I recommend upgrading to a new energy efficient a/c and solar heater if possible. You also will receive power company rebate and IRS tax credit of 30%.

Installation went well, but tried to purchase extended warranty, and Doug B. refused to honor original quote, tried to jack up price and hide behind an alleged manufacture price increase excuse. Dispute was over $100. Spoke with Mark the President who also refused to honor the quote. When you spend over $8,000 with an installer, you would hope that they would honor the price they quote.. That did not happen. I found the same Lennox extended warranty from a cross town competitor. Also, Bob Heinmiller did not pull the required permits for my installation. I have checked with Orange county, and there is no record, now I will have to take legal action and get Bob Heinmiller to pull the permits. I am fortunate to find out now that Bob Heinmiller was unwilling to go the extra mile for customers, so I will not have any service work or warranty work done by them. I will also inform my neighbors of the lack of customer appreciation shown by this installer. Stay far away from this installer, and use someone who appreciates your business.

The manufacturer’s extended labor warranty quoted on your contract signed and dated April 18, 2013 was offered at $925.00 for the Lennox equipment. The Extended labor warranty price for the Carrier equipment quoted was a different price. There was never an offer made for $100.00 less on the proposal / contract that you signed. As I explained to you on the phone my cost for the manufacturers extended labor warranty is $927.00. I even offered to send you a copy of my price sheet from Lennox as proof of what we actually pay for the warranty. No one raised the price, that’s simply not true. If you purchased an extended warranty from a competitor for less money I can assure you that it’s not the same coverage as the extended labor warranty we quoted. Some companies extended warranties do not include refrigerant coverage, therefore they are less expensive. As I mentioned to you during our phone conversation, we did not add on any profit to this warranty. We were offering the coverage you requested at our cost. I did check your file for the county permit. You are correct; it was inadvertently missed by our newly hired dispatcher who pulls permits. This matter has been resolved and the permit number is H13004684 with Orange County. We can schedule the inspection at your convenience. We are a large family owned company that has been in business since 1990. We pride ourselves on providing great customer service and have built our business around this philosophy. Integrity and ethical business practices are very important to us. I own a rental home in Orlando and live out of the State. I often rely on Angie's List to try and find good service providers and am sorry to say it let me down in this instance. I called Bob Heinmiller on a Friday afternoon when my tenants reported that the air conditioning unit was failing to cool the home. The company did send out a technician, Eric, on Friday evening and warned me up front that the service call alone would run $148. I felt like this was high, but I also felt like I was over a barrel because I don't like to keep tenants waiting all weekend in the Florida heat. The tech showed up and was at the home no more than 20 or 30 minutes. Apparently, he told my tenants that the unit was just "too old" and then he asked for payment and left the home. He did not call me or try to discuss the situation prior to leaving, even though we had been in direct contact by cell phone only 10 minutes before he arrived at the home. Instead, my tenant called me after he left and told me what happened. I immediately called the technician and asked what the diagnosis of the a/c unit was. He told me that everything he checked was fine and he couldn't find anything wrong, so he decided to request payment and leave. After pressing him further, he said that maybe the problem would show itself in the heat of the day, so I asked that he return sometime the next day to determine what the issue was. He refused to do it without saying I would have to pay another service fee of $148! I then called Bob Heinmiller's general dispatch number and spoke at length with the dispatcher about what had occured. I asked that the company send another tech, with out charging for the service call (of course I was still willing to pay for any parts and labor). The dispatch told me that she was leaving a message for a manager and that I should hear from the manager that evening. No manager ever called me and neither did Eric the technician (who also said he would call me back about returning to the house). Long story short, a much better company came out on Saturday and found and solved my problem in one hour for $100. I would NEVER recommend Bob Heinmiller to anyone!

(deleted member name), According to our answering service and Service truck GPS tracker, you phoned our afterhours answering service on 5/24/2013 at 6:46 PM (Our main office closed at 5:00 PM that day for the Memorial Day Holiday weekend). Eric, our after hours on call technician responded promptly and arrived at your rental property at 8:24 PM (just after sunset). When he entered the property Eric was surprised to find the air conditioning unit running and the house at a cool 77 degrees. After a thorough 30 minute inspection of the equipment Eric found the following: The blower did not have a filter and the coil was a little dirty. The airflow coming out of the vents was at an acceptable level, the refrigerant pressures were good and the unit was blowing cool air. So there was really nothing to repair at this time. We operate an honest company and do not drum up something wrong on our service tickets just to add charges. We also offer a warranty on our service calls and would have returned for a FREE diagnostic service call the next day if the problem reoccurred. Unfortunatey we were never given that opportunity. Eric stated that you called him back several times after he left your property to advise him that he needed to come back and look again because his Diagnostic was "just B.S.". Eric explained to you that the equipment was 11 years old and that it was a very hot day and that maybe the unit was overworked and just needed to cool off. Our afterhours answering service did receive a call from you at 9:14 pm the same evening stating that you were not happy with the diagnostic and wanted a manager to call you back. Unfortunately, since it was Memorial Day weekend myself and the service manager was both out of town. On Tuesday morning when our main office reopened Eric advised us that he had spoke to you multiple times on his cell phone that evening and thought your ac issue was resolved. Instead of calling us back on Saturday it appears that you decided to call another service company. I'm not sure what they discovered since you didn’t call our office back to discuss this matter with a manager after the holiday weekend. What is troubling to me is that you put a STOP PAYMENT on the $148.00 check that you gave Eric with and did not even bother to call the office to let us know. We have an impeccable reputation in this community and have been in business since 1990. We also offer a 100 % satisfaction guarantee on all of our service work. We are very proud of our “A” rating on Angie’s List and strive to provide the best customer service to all of our customers. We had a brand new Lennox Signature series 5-ton, 16.5 seer, dual-speed, MONSTER of an air-con installed very quickly. We started talking to Doug on Wednesday. I was out of town (and my wife was working during the day-- the house got to 88 degrees at night!) and were scheduled to meet on Saturday, a normal day off for him. I had a flight challenge getting home on Saturday and had to postpone, expecting that I would meet with Doug on Monday and that we MIGHT get an installation within another week. Here's where Doug blew my mind. He called me up on Sunday morning to make sure I'd made it home safely. We talked about what I needed, what I had, what I wanted and got the details down pretty close. He told me he was heading in to the office to do the paperwork and would e-mail me the stuff I'd need to sign and that we could get together on Monday. I misunderstood at first -- I thought he meant "get together" as in "sign a bunch of paperwork" and then get an install scheduled. Nope -- this was "let's get it installed on Monday so you can get back to normal." When he went to the office, he figured out an extra $900 he could lop off the price thanks to a rebate program from OUC. The guy's a legend, honestly. DOUG -- if you read this, THANKS!!! Then out came Marc and Mario with the paperwork (need a signature, please!) and the whole shooting match. They did the walk to determine where everything was going to go, let me know what to expect and got to work. I offered to buy them lunch, but they said they don't take breaks so they can get done and out of my hair quicker -- I still would have bought 'em lunch. Or dinner. Or something, at least! Replaced the air handler, compressor unit (including the concrete slab that the previous company had done such a half-hearted job of installing), plumbed and wired the whole thing, charged the unit and did the testing, walked me through using the WiFi enabled touch screen (that I can control from my iPhone, computer, etc.). They were FABULOUS. Laid down drop cloths so they didn't hurt the new carpet. Just absolute kind, nice, intelligent, awesome guys. No one else has delivered like this. No one. The house is back to a normal temperature and we're only spending about $4500 more than we would have to do to replace the component that broke because of the prior company's foul-ups and we've got a SERIOUS upgrade on our air-con and 10 years of peace of mind that is priceless.
Description of Work: We had an air conditioner installed with our house approximately 6 years ago. The unit was a Carrier and it should have lasted much longer than it did, but owing to scandalous incompetence on the part of the company who did that installation (another local firm frequently employed by builders), our unit has cost us much more to maintain and repair than it was worth. It was time to replace the ruddy thing and do it right. We spent 7 days without A/C while we looked to find the right company. I did the research so others wouldn't have to. Enter Bob Heinmiller Inc, and particularly Doug, Marc and Mario. I sought four estimates for heat pumps suitable for my two-level townhouse condo. Bob Heinmiller AC was neither the least nor most expensive estimate I received; what the company did offer was: (1) a complete inspection/review of my ductwork and a/c systems; (2) a proposal that included only necessary work; (3) proposed high-quality heat pump units with SEER ratings and capabilities that meet my needs but don't go beyond these; and (4) applied no pressure to purchase extended warranties. This was a two-day job, given the two units. Mark and Mario showed up punctually both days and worked steadily until that day's work was completed satisfactorily. At all times they were respectful of my property, answered my questions thoroughly, and were pleasant to deal with. They seemed very knowledgable about what they were doing, and they worked REALLY hard. A company rep came by on Day One to ensure the work was going as it should with regard to installation of the compressors; a company electrician came by on Day Two to ensure the installation of the air-handling units was being done correctly. I appreciated this oversight. Once all was installed, tested, and working, Mark patiently spent considerable time ensuring I understood how to program the thermostats. Professional company, and I feel they did an outstanding job. At least one of the companies from whom I obtained an estimate proposed changing a lot of my ductwork, which wasn't necessary, and another proposed installing units with very high SEER ratings, far more than I need or want. I hope I won't require their services again any time soon, but if I need work done, I won't hesitate to call Bob Heinmiller AC.

Doug met me at our rental property to give me an estimate, and was very friendly and professional from start to finish. He emailed me a detailed estimate promptly, and was even able to further reduce our cost by obtaining a rebate from OUC. Furthermore, he was able to arrange for a Saturday installation, since our tenants work weekdays and we would be unable to be there during the week. Description of Work: We used Bob Heinmiller to install a new Air Conditioning System, Solar Hot Water System and Solar Panels. We were interested in saving money on our electric bill each month. It was out of control. Now we have a roof full of solar panels that provides for most of our electrical needs each month. Some months we get to sell power back to the power company! Bob Heinmiller's people were great, everyone from the technicians to the office staff. They were very responsible to our every need and request. In order to afford to cover our roof with solar panels, we had them installed over a period of 2-3 years so we continue to have interaction with the staff. We have never had an issue, they are always on time, if there are any defects - they are quickly taken care of.

Very fairly priced. They told me that it would be less expensive to do in the winter so I called back in the winter. The first morning no one showed up. Apparently, the gentlemen who were supposed to do the work called in sick. No one called me....when I called them they were apologetic and nice. They did come over and pulled the old insulation out and the next day they came and installed my new airducts. My electrical bill went down about 30%. I was very happy once they got in and got the work done.

All is great ever since we had our new unit installed. Now I have a lot of friends and neighbors asking us how did you like the service that we had performed. Description of Work: I called and spoke with Mark Derringer and explained my issue that I was having with our A/C unit that we were not getting enough cool air flow through our duct system. Mark advised me that we need to replace our ducts do too old age and not big enough vents were installed in the first place.He also was on the ball and told me that we needed another return vent installed in the second bedroom. Ever since July 2012 we been able to sleep much better and not run the ceiling fans as much as we use too. Now that we have a whole new system installed we are able too spend more money on other repairs that we did not before because our old unit was costing us alot of money for repairs.

I met with Mark from Bob Heinmiller and explained my problem to him in detail. Mark was very patient and asked a lot of questions. He took notes and was very patient. I was very pleased that Mark did not try to immediately sell me the most expensive AC unit they carried as the answer to all of my problems. He instead went through all of the possible problems such as poor insulation which we eliminated based on inspection. Mark noted that my pool pump was 5 years old and that I should consider a varible speed pump that will use much less electricity to operate but will not lose effectiveness. He also mentioned that replacing my 10 year old AC unit with a more more efficient unit would also reduce my bill. Mark discussed that replacing my light bulbs with LED light bulbs would help right away and also recommended installing a motion sensor in my daughter's bathroom because she always forgets to turn off her bathroom lights. Next he mentioned that a solar attic fan would decrease the temperature in my attic and that my current attic ventilation could use the extra help. Mark mentioned that installing a solar water heater could also be an option to reducing my bill. He then went on to explain that they could put solar panels on my roof to reduce my electric bill even more. I thought that sounded expensive but Mark informed me that my power company and the government offer big rebates for installing a solar system that may pay for over half of the cost or more depending on the system and the Bob Heinmiller assists with the paperwork. Mark is very passionate about his craft and excited about sharing his knowledge with residents like me. I am starting with the light bulbs and will purchase a new AC unit and pool pump soon. I had an outstanding experience and wanted to share it with anyone looking for an AC, Electrical or Solar company. Great Job Mark!!

It started by noticing water stains in the wood floor near the water heater. We turned off the water to our condominium and called Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning and needed someone to come out and let us know if we needed to replace the water heater, which is under our air conditioning unit in a closet. They were helpful on the phone and suggested that we turn off the water immediately and they would send someone out to find out where the problem was. They were on time, quickly found that the water was leaking from the wall behind the water heater and that it was a problem with the pipes behind the washing machine and recommended that we call a plumber to find the pipe or pipes that were leaking. We called our plumber and found that Bob Heinmiller's representative was correct and we had to have the pipes replaced.
Description of Work: Chris the service rep. was prompt and polite. He thoroughly reviewed our dilema and recommended a solution. Great diagnostic job and quick response time. We had a water leak in our condo and the space is tight. It takes a lot of effort to investigate the cause and recommend a solution. BHAC did a great job.

The wholesale price on Freon has more than doubled in the past three months. To purchase a cylinder from the internet you can pay between $350.00 to $450.00 and it is still going up. Best to buy a new system that runs on the new 410-A refrigerant.

They are excellent. They come out every six months and do maintenance on everything. They put in my air conditioners nineteen years ago and I have used them ever since and I have never been unsatisfied with any of their work. They are always on time and always get things done. I spent $600 and $300 for two houses. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.
