I absolutely love to give great reviews for companies, however, this one is not going to be the case...A very unethical company -- mercenary (all about the money) and not at all interested in doing the "right thing". They never believe in refunding customers for subpar workmanship. The propane surveillance monitor does NOT work and the employee that they sent out to do maintenance work spent 10 minutes, although the company said it was a 45 min to 1 hour maintenance. They should have offered a discount for the following year on both the maintenance and propane app at a MINIMUM. They did NOT! They have very rude and condescending employees on TOP of it all... which I guess makes sense.
Response from Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning Inc
"Let’s just list the facts and tell the Truth about your generator installation and service history. The Generator was installed August 2021, passed both Electrical and Gas inspection by Orange County inspectors with flying colors. No subpar workmanship on your installation. March 2022 your top lid lock was replaced by Heinmiller, at no charge to you. September 2022 Maintenance visit was performed by Heinmiller, truck GPS shows Tech spent over an hour on the maintenance. September 15, 2022 you called in with a problem with the tank monitoring device. Heinmiller tech checked the Tank monitoring device, found nothing wrong and that it was working properly. There was No Charge to you for this visit. Just because you didn’t get a discount on your next maintenance or on the tank monitoring doesn’t make our staff rude. Everyone pays the same price for our services. We employee factory trained Generac technicians. Not all service companies have Generac factory trained techs. We have no reason to refund you any money or discount our services, since there wasn’t any subpar work done by Heinmiller at your home."

It went wonderful. Kenny came out and did a beautiful job. Work was performed on time as scheduled. We would have Kenny any time. We have been with Heinmiller for over 20 years. They also take care of our son's house in Winter Garden and he has always been very satisfied.

I had no air cool issue recently and received the alert trouble coded message #292 on the Lennox thermostat display: "The (furnace/air-handler) indoor blower motor will not start". I have called Bob Heinmiller contractors as they had installed the A/C unit and scheduled an appointment for it repair. It had been taken approximately 5 minutes of a troubleshooting by technician Kenny after which he repeated the thermostat display message - 'failed blow motors'. The charge, according to his invoice was $115.00 for "Diagnostic analysis". Kenny has replaced the blow motor (warranty) for $289.00.

Shady, Shady, Shady....they do not respond when they say they will. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They lack integrity. They quote a price and change it later. I had a panel under warranty go out. "We'll call you with a quote this afternoon", never called. They told me "it's in the warehouse, we'll have it today". It was not. "It's under warranty, you'll only pay for labor" They charged $428 for 13 minutes of work to replace the part. "We overcharged you, should be just $115 (they claimed it would take at least 2 hours to replace the part), NEVER Got a refund. E-mailed and called multiple times, still have not gotten a call back. The owner Mark Derringer is not honest, he lacks integrity and should not be trusted. I have used this organization for maintenance and to replace my air ducts....the air ducts after just a few years need repaired and they wouldn't send a person into my attic to look at them. They just flashed a flashlight into the ducts and said "looks fine to me" When I had the ducts replaced in the first place, no one showed up to do the work. They never called and I had to call "sorry, he called in today we'll have to reschedule" They had to reschedule twice. I am a fool for using them more than once. Don't make the mistake that I made. Find someone else to do your work.

Price was one thing. They were willing to negotiate. So I got a good price. It only took them a day to install. They were quick and the installation was fine. It was a good installation.

Last year a small part failed under warranty and they charged what seemed to be an excessive price to replace it (they were onsite about 15 minutes and charge us over $200 to replace a capacitor). Upon complaining, we were told it was their "policy" to charge separately for the diagnosis and the actual repair, even when it took less than 15 minutes total. I tried to contact the president to discuss it and he would never return my call. Today we had someone else service the unit and they found a couple of problems with the installation. The worst of which, was an overflow valve that was not installed correctly. With our unit being in the attic, this could have been a nightmare. He also indicated that the new system was installed without a permit which would have required an inspection that would have caused the vendor to address several small issues that slipped by.
Response from Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning Inc
"Your unit was not operating at all when you called us. We charged you for a service call, inspection/diagnostic and replaced the faulty part (dual run capacitor) which resolved the issue and your ac was working properly when we completed the job. We invoiced you for $254 (Flat Rate Price Book-No Hidden Fees). However, after much discussion we agreed to reduce your invoice twice to $193 but you decided to only pay us $161. We have an impeccable reputation since 1990 serving 1,000's of customers over the years."

Since the unit is still under warranty, I did not have to pay for parts but I was charged for the service call and for labor to replace this latest blown component.  I had a variety of responses given to me when the manager of Heinmiller and I discussed the deplorable repair rate of my system:  "you should have bought the maintenance agreement", "things break".  They never agreed that they had not noticed the incorrect circuit breaker or that this could be the cause of my problems.  However, within a day or two... and under the guise of wanting to do a "quality control pressure check" after they replaced the compressor... I watched from my window as the technician replaced the circuit breaker with the proper one.  When he came back in the house, I asked him what he had to do.  He replied, "just a pressure check".  He didn't, nor did anyone from Heinmiller, tell me they changed the breaker, it was never written on a work order.  They are careful to charge for everything but not for the clandestine replacement of the circuit breaker that could likely have been the cause of all my problems.  After this and at my request, Bob Heinmiller applied for a permit for my air conditioner and it was inspected.  Sure enough, someone from the office appeared just before the inspector arrived "to make sure everything went okay".  The inspector told this guy that he needed a ladder so the Heinmiller guy went to the truck to get it.  While we waited inside, I quickly filled the inspector in on all the problems I had with the system since it was first installed.  I asked him about the circuit breaker issue and he said he couldn't unequivocally say that this was the cause of my problems but he did say that not following the manufacturer's recommendations is the same as not following the code.  After he inspected the unit in the attic, the two of them went to the back of the house to look at the outside unit.  When they returned to the front, the guy from Heinmiller was putting his ladder away but the inspector came back inside.  He said, "This guy was not upfront with me at all.  I asked him if there were any issues with the unit since it was installed and he told me no, it has been running smoothly".  I think service providers owe their customers honesty.  They should act with integrity and I found that missing in my experience with Bob Heinmiller.

BE WARNED! We selected Bob Heinmiller to install a new Carrier (replacement) unit and have now had 18 service calls in four months. The most recent was today due to improper wiring that could have caused a house fire this week while we were asleep when we turned the heat on for the first time. The Service Tech replaced the entire Heat Kit and Circuit Breaker today and our house still has a burned electrical smell in every room. All the service technicians have been guessing (really, the techs would tell me that they had no idea what was wrong with the first 16 air conditioning service calls and it's a process of elimination). The service technicians constantly contradicted and blamed each other for installing it wrong, repairing it wrong, etc.. The unit is mounted on the ceiling in the garage and constantly dripped liquid on our cars, did not cool properly, the interior filled with water and soaked the insulation, needed the air handler replaced after a couple of months, needed a new thermostat replacement because the humidity level kept going over 70% unless we kept the air conditioning at 67 degrees, etc.. Carrier's fancy Wi-fi would email us that something was wrong with the system and we needed to have the dealer fix it...Ha, if it wasn't so sad it might be funny. We also failed the first Orange County permit inspection because they used mesh strapping instead of metal. The owner, Mark Dehlinger , now says that our problem is with Carrier since they built the unit and that we should call Carrier (FYI...Carrier Customer Service says there is nothing they can do and they don't go check units to make sure they are properly installed or see if the product is defective). He actually complained to us today that the 18 service calls are costing him money! No apology, no concern that we could have potentially died in a house fire due to what improper installation/wiring by his employees, no acknowledgement of our wasted time and tips to the service guys, no offer of an extended warranty because of all the problems. All we wanted was to pay around $6,000 and get a new HVAC systems that was more efficient and worked. Instead, we got lots of problems, no one with answers and yelled at by the owner because money was coming out of his pocket to fix our system. In addition, I constantly asked the sales rep Doug (who is also sort of the Service Manager) if anyone had any idea what was wrong with our system several times...and he said they had no idea. I kept asking him for a Carrier rep to come check things but it never happened. If there was a rating for confidence in this company it would be an "F". We selected this dealer because they installed a Carrier system for us almost 20 years ago that was old and needed to be replaced. That was obviously a BIG MISTAKE!
Response from Bob Heinmiller Air Conditioning Inc
"While we certainly understand your frustration and concern regarding your air conditioning unit, we are confident the issues have been resolved and that the unit is functioning properly. We did not charge you for any of these warranty service calls and even replaced your air handler at our expense to correct the water dripping issue. Carrier, the manufacture sent out their Quality and Customer Assurance Technical Service Manager to inspect your equipment. He found nothing wrong with the equipment but recommended two minor adjustments to prevent any further condensation on the air handler in the garage. We have made these adjustments to your system. We apologize for any inconvenience that you may have experienced and we will work hard to provide you with continued excellent service going forward. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you."

This was not an emergency, however, Dante arrived within a few hours. He was very friendly and professional. The unit that was not working was a simple fix...the previous service company had not flushed the lines so he took care of that and the unit runs great now. He serviced the other two and took the time to explain everything he was doing. HVAC for dummies. Also suggested things I can do to maximize efficiency and lower my power bill. A plus plus plus for this company

My 7 year old Solar Hot water heated panels were dripping water off my roof.  We finally noticed it and I called just before lunch time today and they were very prompt and courteous to get someone so soon.  Robin, my technician explained that the plastic freeze values don't last in the Florida sun and suggested we use a copper freeze value this time.  Back in 2010, another company replaced the original freeze value so I really liked the idea of using copper.  Robin did not have the part on his truck  but his boss actually came to my house and delivered the product since he was going to be in the area.  I am so happy to get all this taken care of today.  They warranty their work for 1 year, so I will be sure to call them again.  Everyone I dealt with was prompt, cheerful & courteous.  Thanks so much!

Mark Derringer came to my house to give me a quote for a new AC unit. He was patient, thorough, and not a typical pushy salesman. After getting quotes from a couple of other companies, I called Mark and requested if he could reduce his quote to match that of his competitors. Not only did Mark reduce his quote, he lowered it by almost $500 from the nearest competitor. I signed the contract and his crew was at my house the next business day, promptly at the time that was given to me. They were professional, thorough, polite, and extremely efficient in their work. I would highly recommend Bob Heinmiller to anyone that's in the market looking for a new unit.

When my old HVAC system had to be replaced due to multiple leaks on the evaporator coils which led to having no refrigerant to cool the house, I contacted Bob Heinmiller AC after receiving a great recommendation from a neighbor who was very satisfied with their quality, attention-to-detail, and price.
Doug came by the house to provide a free estimate and after offering a great replacement unit at a reasonable price, he had someone come by the house to refill the refrigerant so we could have some cool air with the old unit while we waited for our scheduled install date.
The install went very smooth and the install crew were very professional and courteous. When I noticed a week later that there might be an issue with how my thermostat was communicating with the HVAC to provide warm air, Bob Heinmiller was very quick to respond to my troublecall and fix this minor gripe.
I am extremely pleased with the staff and crew of Bob Heinmiller AC and would recommend them to anyone in need of HVAC services. There are far too many HVAC businesses to lose confidence in and I am happy that a business such as Bob Heinmiller AC still has the small business courtesy and services that is missing with the majority of the competitors looking to rip customers off. My hats off to this place, especially since I don't like to type reviews!
