BARNES DRAPERY & FLOOR CVRNG

The initial visit to Barnes went well. They showed me sample tiles and explained some important features. I selected a slip resistant quarry tile that was rated for cold and hot temperatures. A visit was scheduled and went well. The tile installer arrived a bit late, but it wasn't a problem. The installation took 2 days. The installer left a large amount of grount on the tiles, and I thought it would be an easy task to clean-up after everything had dried. This was not the case. Since the tile was very porus and had the anti-skid rough surface, getting up the excess grout was a big problem I tried wasing it 3 times, but mostly just spread it aound, it looked awful. I called for help, and was just told to try wiping it up with a dry cloth. That might have worked at first, but it would have taken hours on the large porch. I found a grout remover product at Home Depot that worked well. The second problem was that the porous tile was VERY hard to clean, especially after the dogs walked on it with muddy feet. I had to scrub it with a brush, and then seal it with tile sealer purchased again at Home Depot. I feel that for the premium price I paid, that the needed to seal the tile should have been at least mentioned. Overall, not the high quality hassel free job I had expected from Barnes.
