Azalea Garden Properties LTD

Azalea Gardens is a wonderful place to live.  It is right on Robinson Street within walking distance of Lake Eola and Thornton Park/downtown area.  You would not really notice it from the street, all of the buildings are non-descript from the outside, but that is because they all face an inner with balconies overlooking a courtyard that is absolutely beautiful.  You can see pictures of all this at their website. 
What I can share from first-hand experience is that I felt safe there, it is quiet, and if you have any problems the landlord, Edward Robinson, will make sure it is resolved as quickly as possible. There are two maintenance employees on site and all tenants have their cell phone numbers so that they can call directly.  The complex is pretty small, so usually when I would call one of them, they would say "okay, I'll come over there in a few minutes".  In fact, both Edward and the maintenance crew went the extra mile to help me find a diamond earring that I dropped down the drain of the tub.  It was not an easy task to get it out, but they tried several ways (including one unsuccessful attempt, cutting a hole in the wall and subsequently repairing it), until they finally had the brilliant idea to stick a narrow vacuum down into the drain and suck it out into the vacuum bag! 
When I moved out this month, Edward walked through the apartment and promptly wrote me a check for the full refund of my deposit. 
Lastly I will say that one nice thing about renting there is that the landlord is a licenced real estate broker and is flexible about the length of the lease if you use his services to purchase a home.  This is the option I used to purchase my new home and he is a very good and experience real estate broker.
