Mr. Krietzer was a plumber who seemed to have the attitude that , "it is really your problem, not mine".
Anyway, there was a leak below my kitchen sink and he applied a silicone gel between the sink and granite to prevent any leaks. Other than that, he seemed to think that under mount sinks are a lousy idea, and that Florida houses have lousy codes. When I asked him what I should do if the leak continued, he asked me to contact the tap manufacturer or a granite company to see what I could do to fix the problem. (Again, the same attitude "I cannot really fix this; it's your problem, not mine)
The gel that he used has left a mess on my sink and I am not able to get rid of it regardless of how much I scrub it. I called him to mention the problem and his response? "elbow grease" or "acetone" and " I don't know what to tell you".
Time and again, his attitude was "I don't know; it is not my problem". The worst part was when I was making out a check to him. Not paying attention, I started to write a check out for a higher amount till I suddenly realized my mistake. While he was watching me write out my check, he made no attempt to let me know that I was paying him more than what he was owed, trying to joke about it , saying, "I will take more money, if you give it to me". This to me speaks volumes of his honesty or lack thereof.
Oh by the way, the leaking continues and I now have to call another plumber.
I would not recommend him to anyone.
