I was very pleased with the result. Mr. Ramsay spent a lot of time going over the roof, stucco walls, and windows in order to figure out exactly where our problems were. He got after our roofer (the roof was still under warranty, but the roofer didn't respond to my calls until Mr. Ramsay contacted him, and then I went from persona non grata to V.I.P.), and so the roof was fixed. Mr. Ramsay also told us what the window company had messed up and how that was contributing to our leak problem, which was something I wouldn't have known about otherwise. Mr. Ramsay went way above the call of duty to make sure that we were protected from bad workmanship and run-arounds. If Mr. Ramsay had been doing our home remodeling and repair work ever since we moved to Central Florida in 1986, I wouldn't have had any of the horrendous experiences that have made me distrust just about everybody connected with construction here. I can't praise him too highly, and I recommend him to everyone I can (my daughter has already used him to do work at her home, and she was very pleased, too). I suppose that there are people out there who will bid lower than he does, but even so, I found Mr. Ramsay's prices quite reasonable. He understood the "big picture" and told me how and why certain things needed to be done, which was totally unlike what other people did who showed up to make a bids on different aspects of the work without really even knowing (or caring?) if the work they offered to do would actually stop the leaks. I needed to be absolutely certain that the leak problem was resolved, and wasn't willing to be penny-wise and pound-foolish.
Description of Work: I hired Mr. Ramsay, a general contractor, to be in charge of the repairs that were needed on our roof and exterior walls. A large portion of the front of our house was re-stuccoed, and the entire house was repainted. We had been plagued with leaks whenever it rained, and I needed someone to take responsibility for the work that was done by the stucco people and the painters. Since he has been a building supervisor for a number of home builders in the area, he was already familiar with the people who do good work, and those were the ones he called in to work on our house.
