Astonishing improvement! I was afraid I was going to destroy my shoulder (no exaggeration!) opening our sliding patio door, so I searched Angieslist for highly rated repair companies. I picked A&R Patio Door Repair and they did a great job fixing it. I swear the door almost opens by itself! I had to warn our maids that it had been repaired so that they wouldn't pull on it and fling it to the other end of the track! Highly recommended.

Fred Lane was absolutely wonderful. He surpassed our expectations with repairing our sliding glass doors. He was easy to coordinate scheduling with, arrived promptly, was courteous and professional. As first time homebuyers, my husband and I are slowly learning the ropes with what to tackle ourselves vs. what to hire someone to help with- and we are so glad we hired Fred! Our sliding glass doors needed two arms with ample elbow grease to open previously. Fred took out both doors, cleaned and straightened the tracks, re-aligned the weather stripping and changed out the rollers. We can now open the doors with a single finger. Thank you Fred! Fred did a fantastic job replacing rollers and restoring the door to its original state thoroughly cleaning, filing, and upgrading the 2 glass panels. He also added a custom measured security bar on 2 sets of sliding doors and cleaned the locks. I would definitely hire him again.

Fred was wonderful. Upgraded runner and rollers and door handle and lock. Arrived at scheduled time and cleaned everything following his work.

Fred, the owner of the company, was so helpful. He replaced all of the wheels with a great product, changed out my handles since mine were old and dated, replaced the weather stripping. In addition, he was neat and tidy, courteous, professional and fair. And most importantly, my doors seem brand new and roll like a dream. I highly recommend this company.

I called Fred to repair my patio door as it was noisy when I would open it and the third slider would not open without a lot of force. Fred scheduled the work and kept in communication prior to the appointment. He also made sure that I still wanted to have the work done the day before due to the cold weather. 
When he arrived I showed him the issue that I was having and he assessed the work that needed to be done. I initially thought I did not have track damage, but Fred pointed out that I did. I thought there was going to be an additional fee for the repair, but he was able to file the track and get the bumps that were there out. Fred commented and said that others would charge for a new track instead of trying to file it down and repair it. He removed all the doors, cleaned and filed down the track area and started replacing the rollers. I watched him and worker go to town and saw at how bad my rollers were on the door. He uses an upgraded roller that has 2 rollers per roller, as the original rollers had only one roller per roller. He said this helps make it glide better than the original. They finished up and made the necessary adjustments. Fred had an extra handle to the sliding door that matched my wood floors and asked if I wanted it, which I said yes. He said that he had this from a previous client that wanted them removed. 
After he finished I could not believe the difference!! It was night and day and the door is extremely quite with no wobbling. Fred and he worker cleaned up there mess and were on there way. Every time I open the door I smile now.

We didn't know what to do about our broken door and we couldn't even lock it for security when we left the house.  Now after Fred Lane's expert know-how we feel secure and know that he'll be here in a moment's notice if we ever have need of service again.
I highly recommend this man.  You can just tell he is honest and has good values - very important to us senior citizens!
