We hired 911 restoration to remediate a small water leak. What started as a small job ballooned into them taking apart nearly our entire home. They removed walls, ceilings, flooring, and so much more. Our beautiful home was destroyed and at the end we were left with just a kitchen and one partial bathroom. During the demolition, they hired a plumber to move and work on our hot water heater. Their plumber broke it and, for some unknown reason, capped the hot water pipe so the house had no hot water. Later we had to hire a plumber to find the problem and sell us a new hot water heater. Oby from 911 restoration promised to reimburse us after the job but later on refused. When 911 was demolishing one of our upstairs bathrooms, they “forgot” to turn the water off so they flooded the first floor. Again, Oby promised to pay for the repairs but never did. Their demo job took about four months so we had to move out into an apartment. While we were away, they moved our furniture and belongings into storage units. When we were finally able to return, we retrieved our items from storage and found that 911 restoration had damaged our furniture and had “lost” other items. Who knows where the items went. Our insurance company was furious that 911 had destroyed our house to the extent that they did but we didn’t know what was normal or common. We trusted 911 to do what was necessary and the company had convinced us that they had our best interests in heart. We actually defended 911 restoration when working with our insurance company, who indicated they may sue for causing too much damage. In the end, 911 restoration billed us over $160,000 and we paid them approximately $150,000. We held back on about $10,000 and told 911 that we wanted to catalogue all the damage they caused (plumber, broken water pipe, damaged furniture, missing property) before settling the final bill. Oby had previously said that if they were paid 80% of their bill they would be super happy. He even told us a story about how his home was destroyed by an unscrupulous remediation company and that he refused to pay their entire bill. So we thought this guy is a stand up guy who really wanted to help us in our time of need. 2022 was the worst year of our lives and we thought Oby was the helpful and caring guy to help get us through it. But no, that’s not what happened. The contractors we hired to rebuild our house told us that most of the work done by 911 was totally unnecessary. When we asked 911 about that they told us that the contractors were tricking us and at the same time demanded their money. The $150,000 we paid them wasn’t enough and they said they were going to sue us. 911 told us that they had the right to damage and “lose” our property and that even though they hired the plumber who broke our hot water heater, they weren’t responsible. When we paid Oby the ~$150,000, we told Oby again what his plumber did. Not only did 911’s plumber break the hot water heater but he capped the hot water line so there was no hot water in the entire house. It took our new plumber hours to figure out what happened. Plumbers aren’t cheap and we paid out a lot to fix 911 problems! Oby seemed to think that was pretty funny and told us that he still uses that plumber then he disappeared and refuses to take our calls. So the bottom line is that before we met the company, we had a small water leak. After they left, our house was destroyed, they damaged and lost our personal property, and they are threatening to sue us after we paid them a ton of money. We have no doubt that we will win against this company in court. Before you hire this company, think again. I do not want anyone to go through what we have gone through.
