The office staff was pleasant, unfortunately they did not inform us when we came in that our appointment would be pushed back almost an hour because an emergency pet had been brought in and the doctor was unavailable. An hour is a long time to wait when you are missing work to be there. While I understand that an emergency trumps what I was there for and if it were my animal in the same situation I would want the doctor to help my animal first, please give your other patients the chance to decide if they want to stay or to reschedule. We did get to see the doctor and she was very pleasant and competent, if rushed.
The doctor performed annual exams with 2 large adult dogs and an adult cat for annual exams and vaccinations. The exams were thorough and she also addressed the concerns we had with a lump on one of the dogs. Dr. Sands was very pleasant and competent, if rushed.
We will return to this clinic as we are hoping this will be a one time occurrence where they didn't notify us as we were waiting to see the doctor.

We're very happy with them. They're very reasonably priced. The vet was nice and down to earth. They also have a program where you pay a fee and the shots are included when you go.

They were excellent. They pretty much saved my dog's life. He was dying and they treated him better than humans get treated in the hospital. It is an excellent facility. It is very clean. It didn't smell. The staff was professional and friendly. They would call me with an update on my dog every afternoon. Everything was handled very well. When I took my dog there, I thought he was dead and it was the last resort. They found the problem and they fixed it. If I have an emergency with my pets again, that is where I would take them.

All my pets have been to Wells Road since 2003, as have my Mom's pets before that. We have always received friendly service and our pets were treated with loving care and ndash; my girls have never shied away from going inside, never had to be encouraged to go in and genuinely seem to like Dr Mike and staff. I have had pets in all stages of life treated here and have found them to be most compassionate with our end of life needs. While it's hard to put a money value on some of the benefits we've received here, I would say that they are very fairly priced, in fact much lower than other vets friends have used. Their office is a little out of the way for where I live now but I will continue to go there and ndash; I like them, and so do my pups!!

Experience was fantastic, had to go in late in the night staff was great, they charged me the visit fee and never charge extra for pulling the actual tooth which I was not expecting at all!

These guys are fantastic! They have cared for my pets for years... the veterinarian is excellent, the staff caring and the prices are reasonable. You cannot ask for better quality care for your furkids.

Our vet is fantastic. While my husband was very sick and my animals needed care she would have one of her assistants come and pick up my animals from my house so that I did not have to leave my husband. They were just fantastic.

The price wasn't too expensive; it was good. I didn't like them and I have changed vets. I took my dog to another vet because she wasn't very thorough. My dog kept having problems with her ear and the other vet diagnosed it and gave her medication and she is better. She should have picked up on the ear infection. She barely touched the dog. They were very nice and friendly but the vet wasn't very thorough. I'm not going back. I was disappointed in the quality because she barely looked at her ears and didn’t touch her. They were very responsive and sent email reminders about a shot she needed.

After spending well over $1000 on my previous dog over a year and a half period, only to have her die of kidney failure that was only identified after it was too late to treat, I was determined to find a new vet that was more concerned with the care of my pets than they were with turning a profit. I found Wells Road Vet on the internet, and was pleasantly surprised that all prices were provided up front on their web page, and that the prices were less than half what I had paid my previous vet. I got the immediate impression that their philosophy is to ensure that pets get their vaccinations and preventative care by keeping these services affordable. I filled out the new patient form online, and made an appointment request online (features not found in any other vet I checked out), and they called me back within an hour to confirm her appointment in 2 days (I had expected to have to wait). With the really low prices, I had low expectations of what the office would be like, but was pleasantly surprised that it was immaculate, and the staff was very professional. The staff trimmed her nails while they weighed her, and Dr. Mike was wonderful when doing the exam and administering shots and de-worming treatment. When I relayed the story of my previous dog passing away at 6, she knew right away that that breed was subject to genetic issues, which is something my old vet never even mentioned (I had to research it myself). I really get the impression that her primary concern in life is the health and welfare of animals. She did not push any particular products or foods, but did provide honest answers as to when to start using HeartGuard, and if I should consider doing Advantage flea treatment. When I got the bill, there were no surprises... No extra tests not previously discussed, no 'environmental impact' charges, etc. I think I am really going to be happy driving the extra 10 miles over the bridge to go to the Wells Road Vet Clinic as so far, they are providing better service, at a much lower price than the Vet I previously used in Mandarin. As of right now, I think I am a customer for life! We have been taking our dogs to Wells Road Veterinary Medical Center since 2000. They really take care of the animals and are very reasonable in price. Our one dog who was spayed was given an IV just in case they needed to administer any medications during the procedure. We did look around to other animal hospitals and they just seemed to be the best all around.

I absolutely love taking my dogs to Well Road Veterinary Medical Center. They are wonderful with my dogs and very reasonably priced when I bring in all four. I have been bringing my dogs to them for years because of the convenience to my home and how wonderful they are with my dogs.

Wells Road Veterinary takes wonderful care of my dogs, both at the kennel and for veterinary service. If they did not, I would not take them there. They are very kind to the animals. They seem to really care for them rather than just want your money.
