Richmond American built an extraordinary home. Need I say more?

We are happy with our purchase and overall experience. However, our yard took over a year to rectify the flooding issue. After living with dirt in our side and backyards for several months, they finally came out and put sod down. Even with all their attempts to fill in the low spots, we still have standing water in the yard. Richmond American has given up at this point and they haven't done anything else for us.

Pre-Construction: Sales office in Silverthorn neighborhood are WONDERFUL and the design studio process is very smooth.
Construction: Richmond American is very detailed and responsive builder. However, they are being impacted by and quot;lowest bidderand quot; contractors, especially dry-wall and paint. I am very experienced in new home construction and remained vigilant throughout the construction process. While R/A staff was ALWAYS responsive and professional, their selected contractors made the construction process more difficult for me as the buyer as well as R/A as the seller. Again, I am VERY satisfied with the results as of the date of this review (11/27/12) but it took an enourmous amount of energy (myself and the R/A superintendent) to make sure the contracted craftsmen did things properly.
