Response from Mr. Handyman serving Greater Jacksonville
I’d like to respectfully clarify some details about your experience with our company for any Angie’s List readers. We received your inquiry via Angie’s List Quick Connect Premium (our commitment is to get back to callers within 4 business hours, generally these are urgent issues), but you didn’t include a phone number. We sent you an email immediately letting you know the office was open and supplied a phone number. When you called a day later we asked about your needs and explained a bit about us. Like you, many along Black Creek and across Jax had damage with the flooding from TS Debby. We had a full schedule of client repair work already committed for the week and we had worked every day for the past 3 weeks. The result of all this, as explained, was that we were not in a position to immediately come view your damage. So, while we weren’t available in a timeframe that met you needs, we did get back to you. You did speak with Brandi, and she did offer to call late in the week and see if you still needed help or had found somebody else to handle your needs. If our availability wasn’t in-line with your needs then I certainly understand your moving on to another highly rated contractor on Angie’s List. I fail to understand how you decided to give an ‘F’ grade to a company that wasn’t available to meet you, including ‘F’ grades in service categories (painting) that weren’t even part of your initial service request. This flood has created many terrible and heartbreaking situations, and I’m sorry that your property was affected, but spiteful posts against companies that are working hard to help folks recover isn’t constructive. I don’t anticipate we’ll ever be able to meet with you, please find another contractor.
