Very friendly and professional from the office staff to the tech. Very easy to work with.
I noticed later in the day that the pump wasn't promptly shutting off when pressure was reached. The company returned and discovered that the brand new pressure switch was at fault and replaced it again at no additional cost. While Johnnie was here, he did suggest a few changes to our current system that could make the aeration system work better, but no pressure to buy additional items. Only gave a "B" on cost as service was on the weekend so double cost for call and labor, and the cost of the equipment was a bit higher then expected (about 35% more then if I had purchased the tank and pump myself). But I do understand that a company needs to make a profit and pay its employees.
Will definitely call first next time!

Will, the technician, arrived 40 minutes late but since we were home anyway, it was not a big deal. He looked over the old pump and offered some suggestions to include repairing the water leaks. But like anything else, he could not guarantee how long the fixes would last. Because the pump was at the house when we bought it six years ago, and we had no installation history on it, we decided to have Will replace it. The estimated cost was $675 - same as their office quoted me.
He quickly went to work, despite the emergence of a rain squall. Very little was used from the original installation. New fittings were installed all around.
On removing and testing the bladder tank, he reported it was leaking some and should be replaced too. There was some rust on the tank so I agreed. Adding a new bladder tank increased the cost by $175. But in this case i did not want to be penny wise and pound foolish. I have not priced the bladder tanks but I would have appreciated something lower than list price considering I was replacing the entire pump/bladder tank system.
But on account of my Angies' List referral, they did not charge me the $75 service call so I guess it works out.
The pump comes with a warranty for parts and labor and I will rely on Florida Pump to keep it going.
"Thank you for your review. I am pleased to hear that the job went well and you had a pleasant experience. When we sell a pump or tank for installation we like to give the complete price as a package deal that includes parts, labor and installation equipment. We try not to surprise our customers with hidden parts cost. Occasionally another issue is discovered just like your tank. As with all our jobs, we offer senior and military discounts. We also have the Angie's List coupon. If you ever have any questions about your equipment or further comments, please feel free to contact us at our office. Thank you again for your business and time."
"Thank you for your review and business. Please let us know how we can help you in the future."
So the technician did professional work and he was courteous.
The cost of this work was probably %30 too high.
The office was rude and told me I should have gone with another company, which is what I will do in the future.
"I am sorry that you had an overall bad experience with us. We like to pride ourselves on our quick and professional service at a reasonable price, and it sounds like we gave you none of these. Please know that the matter has been handled internally and processes are in place to insure it won't happen again. I would like it if you contacted me to see if I can help resolve some of the issues for you. Angie's List won't let me leave my name (probably why the original response never posted). Please call our office and ask for the manager and mention this review. I look forward to assisting you."
