Very kind and knowledgeable service man came out, went right to the issue on my microwave and fixed it! I will continue to use them for my appliances!

The technician was scheduled for a morning visit and called to let us know he was several hours behind. Once he came and checked the dishwasher he advised us that for the cost we should consider a new dishwasher. At this point we were satisfied with the service. Two nights later when we opened the cabinet next to the dishwasher which is rarely used and saw that the wood frame around the cabinet was almost completely pulled away from the box and the face strip closes to the dishwasher was broken. None of the damage was visible until the cabinet was opened. This was not like this before the technician visited. We called both the technician and the company, neither of which would take responsibility for the damage.

Went very well, they were called in to fix a problem, ever so slight, that the company who replaced the motor on my microwave, REFUSED to return and complete the job satisfactorily. Were very knowledgeable of how microwave needed to fit into the housing

Terrible-- They botched the repair to my DCS gas range & when I called to set up another service call to fix the problem we set up a 2-4 p.m. repair time & I arranged to reschedule my work to be home for 2:00 p.m.-- These idiots then called the house on the service day & had changed the repair time from 2-4 to 9-10 am (when I wasn't even home). I politely set up a second service call for 2 weeks later & emphasized again atet I would only be home after 2 p.m. & would be waiting for them-- Same exact thing happened a second time--they tried to switch the time without telling me & said they were NOT available at the set up 2-4 p.m. time. I was irate at these rude & incompetent people doing this to me twice (they have absolutely no regard for the customers who mistakenly use their services without knowing any better). When I called to ask why they had done this to me TWICE the nasty woman who set up both appointments told me to "Go get some one else"...Nice....

The first technician that came out on 8/31/17 said that the flapper on the ice maker needed replacing and that it would cost $12.37. He said the dishwasher pump was vibrating, but was not serviceable, as he could not get the dishwasher out of the cabinet. He charged us $85.00 to diagnose the flapper on the ice maker, stating since the dishwasher was not serviceable, he would not be able to properly diagnose it. He suggested the dishwasher was installed incorrectly, and we needed to remove wood trim from the cabinet so he could get the dishwasher out when he returned for the repair. Though the appliance repairman was unable to get the dishwasher out of the cabinet, we were able to pull it out quite easily without having to remove any of the cabinet parts, as the repairman insisted was required. The technician had to order the flapper and charged $85.00 for the diagnostic fee on 8/31/17, which we paid that day. The receipt we received on 8/31/17 stated $12.37 would be the only charge for the part (flapper) and would need to be paid when it was replaced. Nothing was written on the receipt stating future labor fees. A second technician came out on 9/7/17 to replace the flapper and charged $85.00 for labor for the flapper and $12.37 for the part. He then added a wire clip that looked like a piece of a coat hanger to the pump on the dishwasher and charged an additional $85.00 for labor. The total labor time for both appliances added up to no more than 20 minutes, and both appliances were easily accessible in the kitchen. (We even pulled the dishwasher out for them.) Their website clearly states "$85.00 for Labor Per Hour [Minor Repairs]". We thought surely there was a mistake with this overcharge, so we contacted their office and explained the double charge of $85.00 and what their website states regarding flat rate labor fees. The lady that answered the phone said she would just revise their website to reflect our bill, and that the labor is $85.00 per hour per appliance. I then explained it only took about 20 minutes of labor for both appliances, but she refused to refund the overcharge of $85.00. We documented the quotes on their website and since we were clearly overcharged by $85.00, we are disputing the overcharge with Amex. We attempted to resolve this with the office, but were unsuccessful. The technician, Steve, was kind, but the overall service and overcharge appear unethical. The total amount we paid Expert Appliance added up to $280.14, and we had to remove the dishwasher from the cabinet for them. [$85.00 diagnostic fee, $85.00 labor, $85.00 labor, $12.37 flapper part, $12.77 tax = $280.14 total]

I called Expert Appliance Repair Services to repair my fridge. $85 to come out a diagnose the problem, which I had no problem paying. They determined they needed to order a control panel from Alabama. The tech told me it would take three days and be there the Friday before Thanksgiving. That wasn't exactly true.. The Monday AFTER Thanksgiving they came out and installed it. The fridge still wasn't working, so I called them back. They couldn't come back out for two days, then they were an hour and a half later than the two hour window they gave. The tech said he needed to run a test but he didn't have the equipment with him. He would come back today. Today, they said they had to order the testing equipment and it would be at least another week! Worse yet, they cashed my $200+ check for the part and installation. Expert Repair? More like the biggest joke for an appliance repair company ever!
Response from EXPERT APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICES

"The customer purchased a unit that was sitting outside for 6 months and infested with bugs. The bugs had eaten away at the wiring. Upon first arrival the unit would not power up. We had to install a control board to get power to unit so it could be tested. This is what we charged customer for. Once the power was up and the unit ran for a couple days, the customer called us back to inform it was not cooling. We ran a dye test and found the unit had a sealed system leak. At this point the customer decided the cost of the repair exceeded what they wanted to spend. We did not charge the customer for the additional trip charges or dye testing."

Steve and Sean arrived on schedule and did a great job unclogging the freezer drain and repairing the dishwasher. They put down a board to protect the wood floors when the dishwasher needed to be pulled out from under the counter. Work was done efficiently and they provided tips on how to keep the freezer drain from clogging in the future. I would definitely use Expert Appliance again.

It went great! I was really impressed. I had used them about 2 years ago for the exact the same problem that I had yesterday with my dryer. I was pleased then and I was pleased this time. Scott, the technician called ahead of time and gave me a two hour window. He came within 2 hours, he was courteous, and professional. He looked at the machine and told me he needed to get a bearing. He worked on it and fixed it. He replaced the drum and bearing that was warned out. I did find that I had to wait 3 weeks, which I guess nowadays is not that long without a dryer. I would definitely hire them again.

Spent 20 minutes on "repair".   Total bill for $150, including visit charge and "diagnostic".  Leak increased to daily puddle running across kitchen, from prior leak every couple weeks or so.  Pile of towels now piled 24/7 in kitchen floor by corner of fridge.  Called them back.  They came and diagnosed the problem (which wasn't done the first time?) and asked for more money to repair.  This was a new remodelling install 5 years ago that hasn't been moved or serviced since installation.  Talked with rep who said the "diagnosis" wasn't done on the first trip since they were "just there to install a part".  Didn't seem to understand why we would not be pleased that they came out, made leak worse (incorrectly installed part?  loose connection?  lack of experience?), then charge for both initial visit and followup.
Why then should leak increase, if job was done right with OEM part from KitchenAid?  Will call manufacturer and ask for other reference and not use EAR again.
Response from EXPERT APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICES

"The customer requested that we install a part without our diagnosing if that was indeed the problem which we did. The customer called back and we sent a tech back out and found the problem involved more that what the customer thought. We diagnosed the unit and gave the customer an estimate which they did not wish to proceed with. We did not charge the customer for the diagnostic or the additional trip."

A very pleasant experience all in all.  The office was able to give me a date within our availability.  The morning of the appointment Scott called and gave me a 2 hour window of when he would arrive. Shortly before the opening of the 2 hours he called to say that he had been delayed with another customer but would be with me within the hour.
He arrived as planned, listened to my thoughts about the problem, and promptly determined that it was something completely different.  That's why I called Expert and didn't try the repairs myself!
He happened to have the part in his truck and was able to repair, clean, adjust the machine.   All within an hour of his arrival..
There are no leaks and the machine is running smoothly.

Scott, the technician arrived on time, was very professional and friendly. He diagnosed my refrigerator which has a broken ice maker and a dryer. He explained the problems and called me back within 3 hours with a quote and time frame for fixing each item. He also took my portable A/C with him and will get another technician who specializes in A/Cs.They deduct the $65.00 diagnosis when they come back to finish the job. They will charge $85 for labor on each appliance plus parts.
I will update this when they complete the repairs.
5-1-15: Took awhile to get the dryer parts. They called me when they arrived on 4-29-15. Scheduled appointment for today. Nice young man, David hughes installed and fixed dryer. Expert appliance is the BEST.

It went alright, they had to come out a couple of times since they had to order the parts they needed.  Two people came to do the final job.  They came out when they said they would, once they received the parts they got it fix.  They seem like they know what they are doing and they are reliable.  I would use them again in the future.

Called about 3 companies to fix a Haier Portable A/C. Their are very few companies in the Jacksonville , FL area that fix them. Discussed it with Expert Appliance Service and they were professional, informative and friendly. Took A/C to them and picked it up the next day.
They were so good I am having them come to my house to fix my ice maker, which they were able to quote price over the phone.
Note: Expert Appliance Service is a service provider for Lowe's, however Lowe's does does not mention them.
This is the BEST Appliance Service I have used in Jacksonville.

LG gave me their name and number to repair my broken fridge. I called on Thursday and could not send anyone out until Monday not the up coming Monday but Monday after. I let them know this was not acceptable and contacted All Appliance Repair top choice by Angie's list. I repair man was out in 15 minutes. Their is a defect with the fridge so they're contacting LG for the replacement part. It very apparent companies with high ratings will work very hard to keep it. Thank you Angie's List.
