Double AA Tree

The experience started out ok. The gentleman knocked on our door and was doing service in our neighborhood. We were in need of having some trees taken down and in the past we had gotten higher quotes from other companies. We were prepared to have the service completed. He stated he could take out all the trees identified, clean up three other trees, grind the stump of one tree and haul off the debris in 2 days. He was late the 2nd day with his crew. They were to show up two- three hours earlier and showed up late causing them not to complete the job that day. They proceeded with taking out the 4 trees and the debris was hauled off, however it took another full day for them to not show up on time when stated they would to only show up late and leave the site several times causing them to get delayed each time. A deposit of $1000.00 was paid by check and then the remaining money would be paid based on completion. During the service the owner stated he needed to pay the stump guy and needed $80. dollars. I gave it to him. Then he needed to pay the workers that came out two of the days$380 gave him. Saturday came and they were to show up early they showed later afternoon causing our family to cancel events planned for that evening. The didn't complete the job that day and stated they would return the next day to clean up the neighbors yard where much of the debris had fallen and then would move all the large stumps we were keeping to the back yard. Owner Kenny stated the hauling company would come by on Sunday to pick up the debris. We were at home all day Sunday and at around 11:30 am that day he showed up with his wife and stated he needed the remaining $200 to pay the hauling company. Unfortunately I made the mistake of giving the money to him yet again with the job not completed. The debris was still piled up in my front yard, stumps to trees not moved and debris in my neighbors yard needed to be cleaned up. He stated he would be back later that day. Never showed up. Called several times on Sunday and no answer on phone numbers provided 904.290.9642 and 904.405.9802. On Monday, called and still no answer after several attempts to call him. My husband called him from his cell phone and was able to reach him. He stated they would be by today to complete the work. Never showed up. He has my money and we are stuck with 35 yards of debris approximately 6 feet tall in my front yard killing my sod. We are having to hire a separate company to come out and haul off the debris. When checking the checking account for who the check was made out to for the deposit it had the name Joseph Lockwood. The address listed on the back of the cashed check listed the In-Town Suite Extended Stay in Jacksonville. Obviously, they did part of the work scammed me out of being a trusting person by getting paid in full and leaving the job site unfinished. DO NOT HIRE anyone that knocks on your door. The gentleman's name was Kenny and drives a black truck. He hired a gentleman and his wife to work the site by the name of Katherine "Kat" and Randy who apparently live near Normandy Road. They had also stated they would return the next day to finish the job and never did. DO NOT HIRE anyone by the name of Kenny, Randy or Kat that drive a black truck with a tree service.
