Today is my day for writing reviews and I am so glad that I have a wonderful review to write. I have been working with Computer FX for over 20 years. That says a lot about the company right there. The technicians at Computer FX are amazing! They will do everything they can to help you resolve your issue and work with you on the problem. That is so rare. Customer service is not a catch phrase or a tag line; it is actually what they provide. Service companies have had a lot to deal with over the last year through the pandemic and they are still providing top notch customer support. A lot of companies had to close but because they're still open is an indicator of the amazing work they do. My recommendation is, if you have any computer issues laptop or desktop, or questions about computer technology, contact computer FX. The people there will help you.

Did not go well. He did fix the button, but he damaged the hardware for the outlet for the power cord by using the wrong kind (one of his own). I would think that an "expert" would know better than this! He let me pick up the computer without a word about the damage to the outlet. The computer would not power on at all when I got home. Once more, he opened the back and removed the battery and hard drive (I know this because he wrote my name on the hard drive, and it was loose. As was the battery). He did not say a word about the damage when I came to pick it up. Once more, he refused to give me my money back for the repair I had originally gone in for. Do not use this company.

I was having some errors on my system.  Thought from the errors that the internal battery was going bad.  Had a hard time finding it until I saw it was hiding behind the internal video card.  I replaced the battery and rebooted the computer.  Made noise but no lights flashing anywhere.  Thought it could be a bios issue and I did not have a cable to plug into the motherboard video card.  Figured I would let Troy mess with it and see what he could find.
  We both figured it would be an easy fix but when I spoke with Troy on Saturday he said it was really strange but it looked like the motherboard died.  He wanted to mess with it a bit longer to triple check.  He called a few hours later with the bad news.
  I went to pick up the computer on Monday and Troy was not there, but his partner was (did not catch the name).  I told him all I required from the machine was the Hard Drive and he could reuse the RAM, Video Card, Power-supply and such not to help someone else out in the future.  I went to pay the 40.00 but he told me not to worry about it since they would cannibalize my old system.  I thought that was very nice of him.
  Well I have been doing some research and concluded that if I get another off the shelf computer (Best Buy, etc) I will have to get another power supply, graphics card and a few other goodies so it will do what I want it to.  I am considering building a computer on paper and having them do the actual work in the future.
  Was not happy with the verdict on the computer at Christmas time and one day before my Birthday, but was VERY happy with the service provided and the professionalism of Troy and his staff.

Took the our PC to Computer FX for repairs - came home - same problem - took it back - came home - same problem. Left a voice message asking for a call back to resolve the issue - no reply. I give up. Suffice to say, not recommended.

Went very well. They removed the Malware that caused the problem, cleaned the Register, and installed some protective software to stop a repeat performance.

I saw the reviews on Angie's List so I decided to give them a try when my Laptop CD/DVD wasn't working. Troy was VERY nice and immediately went to work on it! I expected to lose it for a few days at least. He quickly troubleshot the problem, replaced the drive and sent me on my way. While I was in there, several long time customers were in the store dropping off various computers. You could tell he knew them well and they liked the service they got. I will definitely use them again!

It went great! Very friendly and helpful.

Dropped it off for diagnosis/eval. They called me w/in 1 hr. and had found no problem - recommended I get a new mouse from walmart across the street for less than $15. Problem solved. Will absolutely go there again!

Did a fine job. They were very professional and called a few days later to make sure I was satisfied.

I contacted Computer FX at a friend's recommendation. They were touted as, "very competent and reasonably priced." I took my desktop to their office for repair and was told they would take a look and let me know what was wrong. A couple of days later I was told I could pick it up, there had been a loose connection that they fixed and there would be no charge. WOW! At that time I asked about having them come out and install my router and was told they'd be happy to, the cost for time and travel would be $125. I wanted the thing installed so I decided to set-up an appointment. Troy arrived promptly at 1:00 pm. I asked him several questions about security software and why the date and time keep failing and making it difficult to sign on. He told me because I completely disconnect the power each day, the battery failed. He instructed me as to what type battery to purchase, where to purchase it and how to open the desktop to change it. He installed my router and set-up my WII for Netflix access. Troy also said if I had any problems to call him and he was sincere when making this statement. For all this service, he charged me $80.00! Am I thrilled with a competent FL company? You betcha! Computer FX doesn't advertise, has been in business 8 years, and all their business is word of mouth. If you need a computer fixed, don't go to anyone else!
