Randy installed a water treatment system for us a few months ago and was great. The price was fair and he is very nice.
This time he did several repairs and we had a great experience also. I would recommend him
to anyone. Great service and very honest. He was extremely understanding of the situation and fixed the toilet right away he took the time to point out the sink had a non standard faucet size and found one that had to be order. Order the faucet and returned to install it. He kept to his quoted price, when the supplier miss quoted the price. He worked around the schedule of taking my dad back and forth to the doctor.
The first time we got together I was having Randy look at my house because I thought I needed to re-plumb. He helped me understand the state of the plumbing in my house and talked through all the possible options with me. Ultimately we decided not to do the re-plumb.
He put in a new water heater, which has been great. Just this week I had an issue with low hot water pressure in my master shower. He actually diagnosed the problem over the phone and, after confirming his correct diagnosis when he came, got the parts he needed and addressed the issue right away.
I don't know what labor typically costs in this field, but the price seems fair and I've had a great time working with Randy.
This time he showed up over an hour late though he did call me about being late; it was to be almost a whole 1 day job so I was surprised at how late it got started. He was there from 10:15 to about 3:40 PM to complete the service call.
I thought the price was high since it was PVC used for ALL the replaced hot and cold water pipes.
There was no sweating of pipes, solder or joint cleaning for elbows and such so I was surprised at the cost. I had arranged for the old hot water heater to be removed and hauled off, so there was no expense there.
Standard sized electric hot water heaters, even at wholesale prices, are not that expensive; PVC is inexpensive enough.
Randy had always responded to my previous requests with professional tones in the past.
"When you called I was quiet busy and I told you I would do my best to fit you in. I also told you when I gave you the ballpark estimate that it would likely take me between 3/4 of a day and a full day as sometimes in a vandalized house there are damages that may not be uncovered until the water is turned on the first time. This was true in this case they had broken water lines up in the ceiling feeding an addition to the house. My finished price came in just under the price I told you even with the extra work that had to be done. In the repairs to the pipes. I used CPVC pipe and fittings which is up to code inside a house and more expensive than PVC. Not PVC pipe which is not up to code and much less expensive. The water heater I supplied was an AO Smith(top of the line) heater not a service center special at the same basic price as the service centers heaters of lesser quality. I did have cut the copper water lines and solder adapters on to the pipes so I could transition to the CPVC pipe. This is a time consuming process and kinda pricey as the copper fittings, and the Brass X CPVC fittings, I used are expensive. I did not use quick connect fittings as some would have used. I am very sorry your rental house was vandalized and you had a bad experience with that, but the Idea that you were overcharged and received less than professional service is just not so. Randy"
"Thank You so much! It was a pleasure meeting you. More than happy to help you out with any of your future plumbing issues. The total cost of the repair on the Moen tub and shower valve including new trim was $121.00 =-) Thanks Again! Randy"
