I would absolutely recommend them to my family and friends. They put covers on the feet when they come in the house. They were probably more expensive than the big buck stores but they gave us better quality stuff. They helped us to find the right fixtures for the sink and the right fixtures for the showers. They gave us a really good sink in the kitchen. Eventually, we were going to redo the kitchen and knowing that they figured that we do not need something that would last 30 years. So they got us a less expensive sink so that it will last us as long as we needed to last and also it was a high quality sinks. We had visitors coming so we had to get the showers done and the sinks done and everything within a certain amount of time. They worked with the guy who did the titling to make sure it was done. We wanted it to be done by Saturday and they were done by Thursday. They make an appointment and they would be here. There was one time when they called and said that their previous appointment was cancelled so they asked if they can come early. I told them I do not mind them coming.

It was a positive experience. They showed up very quickly, I think within half an hour of our calling them. There was no mess, no fuss; they cleaned up everything very carefully after they were done. One person did all of these. He was very friendly and professional. He provided us with an estimate before hand so we knew what we were facing. Then he just got back to work and had it all done in about two hours. He cleaned up after himself very carefully so you would not even know he had been there. In terms of price, it was expensive, but I suspected that probably it was what about everyone would have quoted. They also did not guarantee the work if it was not their fixtures. However, it was all brand new fixtures and it worked quite well. We would definitely use his services again in the future.

The new shower control is great. Very professional installation.The two hose bibs for the laundry facitily look great too. The two ouside hose bibs very nice. They had to return to secure the one but did a nice job on that one too.

They were prompt and courteous. Gave me info on a proactive maint. plan. I would have liked it , if they deducted the cost of the visit, from the repair cost, but they did a good job and I would definately use again. The tech even reminded me to print the coupon off Angie's List while he was here to reduce the cost.

Overall experience excellent. In-store experience picking out replacement units very good. Store owner very knowledgeable and helped us to focus on best choice for our kitchen colors and set-up. Selected beautiful faucet. Price quoted seemed high, but was Moen, which is lifetime guaranteed. Were told parts would be ordered immediately and should be in store within 3 days. Received call in 3 days and set installation time for mid-day following Monday. Installation charge $175, but work was completed in very efficient manner. The tech checked under sink piping for other plumbing concerns. Were none. Tech provided needed advice regarding other potential plumbing work (recirculating pump and water softener/filter unit). Have high confidence level with Alternate Design Plumbing.

As I mentioned above, the response time was terrific and both techs that I've dealt with were friendly and professional. They didn't just fix the issue and go on their way. They fixed the issue, explained the cause of the issue and how to prevent it from happening again. The woman who answers their phone even remembered me from the first time I called them.

Ben the plumber was on time, very courteous, and did a nice job, removed old sink & faucet, & cleaned up around area, and gave instructions on how to check faucet for repairs.

He did extra work which he didn't charge for. He fixed the external pipe on the outside that freezes occasionally when it's cold without extra charge. He explained the whole procedure and what was wrong, why it was blocking. He did the extra work and he was very personable. I was looking for a building engineer and he referred me to someone else. He referred me to a proper person. He was very helpful. He's the owner. His wife was quick to call and she was also personable and helpful. I would use him again in the future.

Quickly found the leak in the wall to be on supply line to washer hook-up connection. Cut hole through concrete wall to access water lines and installed an access panel to cover hole and provide access for any future problems in that area. Replaced cracked fitting to stop leak. Thoroughly cleaned up work area. Everything needed for the job was on his truck and there was no need to run out to Lowe's or the supply house for parts. Service man was competent, polite and prompt. Will definitely use this company again.

Over the weekend one of our bathrooms wouldn't flush/drain. We were due to have our septic tank emptied, and so we thought that would fix the problem. When it didn't, I called about 10 plumbers to get an idea of how much it might cost to fix the problem. Alternate Design was one of the 10 because we liked that they were listed on both Angie's list and asktheseal.com. Even though they were a little more expensive than others, my husband and I decided to have them come based on the helpfulness/professionalism of the initial phone call. After the first conversation, we realized that not only did we have a blockage, but the pipes had become disconnected and all of the water/sewage was draining out under our house! (Our house has a crawl space underneath.) They were scheduled to come at noon the next day. At 11:30 they called to let us know that their current job was a little more work than anticipated, but if it would work for us, they would still arrive by 2. A little before 2 Ben arrived. After discussing the problem, we agreed to pay a fee to have him climb under the house and assess the situation. Keep in mind the sewage had been leaking under the house! This was not a "fun" job! He then gave us an estimate of what it would cost to fix the problem. We agreed to have him come back and he said he would be at our house at 9 the next morning. Ben arrived a little before 9 and got right to work. Within about 3 hours the job was complete. Everything was left clean, and looks very neatly done. The things that most impressed us: 1. Ben was very respectful, polite, and clean. Put on booties anytime he entered our house! (This is a company policy) 2. They communicated when they were running a little behind, and arrived when they would be here. 3. We feel confident in the work completed. Everything looks great. Everything was left clean. 4. They are listed on asktheseal, so I know everyone that works for their company is background checked, drug checked, etc. I have a very large family, and will not hesitate to recommend Alternate Design to anyone that could use their services. I will definitely call them in the future if I have a problem with the plumbing in our house. By far the most positive experience I have had on any home repair work, and being that we live in a 100 yr old house where we have had to remodel both bathrooms as well as the kitchen, dry wall, air conditioning, etc, we have had a lot of experience!
