Wow! Texture’s by Blue Sky, Inc. a.k.a. Popcorn free did a fabulous job. I was in another town when I had scheduled them to come. Via text and voice, they came on time and did exactly what they said they would, which was remove all the popcorn ceiling for my entire house in one day. They did this while sending me videos of their progress and issues they found and corrected. I would recommend this company for any popcorn removal you need. Shelly, in the office, was very pleasant to work with and made everything very easy.

Great job. We are very happy that we went with Textures by Blue Sky to remove and paint our popcorn ceilings. We are very happy with the results and the crew was absolutely fantastic. They showed up right on time and completed exactly what was contracted for, and more importantly in the time frame expected. The crew chief, Walberto, took the time to explain the process, made sure that all areas were prepped. The crew removed the popcorn, applied the knock-off, and cleaned up before they left. Company was responsive from the quote all the way through the job. Julian, Jesus, and Trishuan showed up on time, did an amazing job removing all popcorn, patching seams, and applying knockdown. Even covered the driveway with plastic to keep our pavers clean. Required very little cleanup afterwards. Would highly recommend!

I requested a quote on 7/8/20 to convert an empty space into an office. They did contact me on that same day which was great. They asked me if I had drawings or blue prints and I said yes and further explained to them what I wanted done. They later replied "ok so send them over".....asking for drawings and blueprints. I thought that was very rude. Anyways, I sent what I had put together and and they replied "Do you have the permits pulled to move a load bearing column?". I told them "no" as I needed a quote first before starting to pull permits and such. It has been 6 days since my quote request and that initial conversation. Never heard from them again. Horrible customer service, tact, and attentiveness. I will take my business somewhere else. Thank you.

"Yes you did call and ask for a quote. ON a job like yours just providing a quote over the phone is impossible as there is to many variables to the job. WE requested pictures, which you provided. IN the pictures you provided you have moving a column (probably load bearing) to another area about 2'? At which point we asked had you pulled a permit to move a load bearing wall? Did you have plans, which would be required, to move a load bearing wall at which point you replied "no", you just had your drawings you did yourself. We explained that we would need to verify that the column is or is not load bearing before we could quote the job as that would be a HUGE expense to move a load bearing column and to "guess" on a price would not be accurate. You did not want to go through that and just wanted a price, which we were not willing to provide without the real information. I am sorry you wanted a price without knowing all the variables but we do not work that way. We prefer to have all the accurate correct information and then provide a true accurate quote. I wold never put my license on the line to move a load bearing column without engineering and architectural plans and permits. It is not worth my license or your lives with a roof collapsing."

This company provided an inflated work estimate without assessing the project. They made assumptions about the cause of the repair need without requesting information about the project and essentially said that they could make a quick patch but that would not help the issue. Their responses were rude "What do you need" was their reply to my initial request for proposal. I feel they either don't want small jobs or feel it is ok to mislead the consumer to add un-needed repairs. I would not hire this company for any work.

We only asked what was needed because there was nothing entered in the description box where all of our customers enter details of what they are wanting an estimate for. Once explained we gave a detailed response and offered a very fair price for the job. Customer seemed to want to argue with our contractor and we felt it best to back off."

Excellent! Crew came early as expected with prior phone call day before. They covered everything from floor, windows, and pool area to avoid debris getting on everything. Extremely professional, quick, and great clean-up at job's end. Foreman came by to make sure everything was going well.

Professional from the first contact. Excellent service, on time, thorough, beautiful work to remove popcorn, repair ceiling, re-texture and paint. The crew had to work in between construction schedule to also resurface and paint our interior walls and baseboards. Shout-out to Walberto, the Manager, and the teams. They managed their timing to work perfectly with our schedule. The price was exceptional for the extent of the work.

These guys worked so efficiently removing the popcorn ceiling and applying the new knockdown texture on it! A very professional crew and company. This is the 2nd time we have hired Texture by Blue Sky. Once was on our 2300 sq feet home in Orange County and more recently on our 2600 sq feet home in Pinellas County, We knew this was going to be a major job with the elevated ceilings and wallpaper in 4 different areas, so we got several quotes. We felt most comfortable with them, because of the detail they walked us through while onsite to give a quote and in answering our follow up questions. This is actually the 3rd time that we had popcorn removed from a house and we were not happy with the results when we did not use Texture by Blue Sky. We have a nice clean edge everywhere making the interior painting seamless. On the wallpaper, they put a fresh coat of orange peel for us. It looks awesome and we highly recommend you utilize them. Special mention to Roberto our project manager. I enjoyed my daily walkthroughs with him as he had such a great attitude.

It went very well. The job was done exactly as it was described. It's a messy process and we felt they did as well as they could to keep the mess to the minimum. They did the work in the timeframe that was described. They were always on time in the morning and completed what they had to for the day. We would definitely consider them again for our next drywall or painting job.

I entered into an agreement with Textures by Blue Sky around 8/28/18 to remove and spray knockdown texture in my 2400 sq. ft. home. On 9/4/18 around 9AM, three Hispanic employees from Blue Sky came to my home. Not one could speak a word of English, illegal immigrants I presume. They had no supervision and proceeded to prep and remove the popcorn ceilings in my home. Because this is a messy and long process I left my home with my 11 year old son for most of the day. We returned around 3PM to find the job pretty much complete as the crew was cleaning up. The popcorn had been removed, texture sprayed and knocked down and they the crew removing the plastic drops .To my surprise what I found was excessive damaged ceiling to wall drywall joints from careless popcorn removal workmanship. The texture they sprayed and knocked down had uneven areas, smudges and areas that had not even been knocked down at all. With the little Spanish that I speak, I tried to communicate with the workers and found out that the longest anyone of them had been doing this type of work was 3 months. I phoned their office and voiced my concerns about the work and wanted them to send someone to see the damage that they had done to my home. They sent a supervisor that recognized me but I didn't recognize him. Come to find out he had performed the same job at my condo 6 years earlier that turned out very good. Now he was a supervisor. He was angry about the job that his workers had performed and reprimanded them. Telling them, time and time again not to scrape into the ceiling to wall corner drywall joint, but along it. He called in another crew of men to try to fix the problems, but the damage was done. They tried to fill the drywall tape joint damage with the texture material and could only scrape the smudges and spray the areas to try to improve the job. Now it was almost 6PM and his men wanted to pack it up and go home. They did a quick clean up and prepared to leave. Now the texture material was dry and you could see that the drywall joint damage was showing as the material had shrunk due to drying. There were areas that had not been knocked down and areas that had little to none texture at all. It was a terrible job that needed to be repaired. Sometime around 8:30PM I received a call from a Clay Olesen from Blue Sky. He tried to say that the damage was already there, (of course it was not) and that he wanted his money, I told him he would get paid when the job was completed. He demanded his money and threatened to send two men to break my head to collect it if not paid. At this point I once again told him when the job is complete he would get paid. At this point he said you'll get yours and hung up. At this point I phoned the local police and reported the threats in case there was any trouble from Clay's threats. They advised me to call 911 if there are any problems. At this point I sent an email to Blue Sky reporting the threats from Clay Olesen as I didn't know who he was and that I would be seeking legal counsel for advice. The very next morning I received a reply to my email to Blue Sky. It was from Clay Olesen stating "Lien Filled" but nothing about them wanting to repair the damage they had caused or finish the job correctly. That was 4 months ago and my ceilings are still not finished or painted. I have estimates to repair the damage from other contractors that are in excess of $5,000 dollars. Blue Sky have refused to supply their insurance company to me. I had to find it through the Florida Contractors License Board, only to find out they have a minimum general liability insurance policy that does not cover damages. Textures by Blue Sky have very little interest to properly train employees, to protect customer's property or perform a good job...But they are very happy to use bully tactics to collect their money. Threats, file liens against personal property, even Small claims suits to scare and force customers to pay up.......Anyone thinking about contracting with Textures by Blue Sky think twice, as this is the nightmare you will endure. UPDATE: I now have a $10,000 law suit against Textures by Blue Sky for the damages they caused my home.

I dont usually give reviews but this company is amazing. They took down all my popcorn ceilings in a large 2 story house with vaulted ceilings, replaced all the loose tape and repainted with minimal clean up afterward. Their entire crew was so helpful and they called several times beforehand to confirm the job and they showed up perfectly on time! My ceilings look so clean and I love the medium knockdown I chose. From start to finish a quality job. I've been a local Realtor for 14 years and have used many vendors but I would highly recommend this company to anyone and will definitely use them for my clients.
