"Thank you for the great review. We look forward to working with you again."
"[Member Name Removed] was not our customer. Our customer was her designer Suzin Eberz. Suzin Eberz Design gave us instructions on what to do on a new, and empty house that was just purchased by Ms. [Member Name Removed], who at the time lived in New Jersey. The homeowner and the designer are friends. We relied on the instructions from the designer and performed the tasks she gave us. The homeowner was not at the house and did not show up until months later, at which point she changed the scope of the work and added new tasks to the project. She added many jobs that we performed and were not paid for, such as moving chandeliers (twice), install hanging light fixtures, install three pendant lights and adding extra coats of paint. We feel that the extra work that she didn't pay for would easily compensate for any minor adjustments to the work she claims was not completed to her satisfaction. She was not happy with some of the decisions made my her designer and began taking out her frustrations on us. She became unpleasant, disagreeable, hostile and belligerent. She yelled and cursed and was completely irrational and rude. We tried to satisfy her but she was never going to be happy. This was not a work environment that anybody would want to work in. Because of the abuse we had no choice but to not return. Addressing her specific complaints: Backsplash - We performed the work the Designer instructed us to do. After the homeowner arrived, the first thing she said was she hated the backsplash (the materials and style). She pointed out areas she did not like. We attempted to adjust the issues with her backsplash, but she began to give us other jobs to do that took us away from this task. In reality, she did not like the tile that the designer chose and looked for any excuse to put up new tile. Garage Floor - Per the Designer's instructions, we installed concrete stain to the garage floor, but there were no instructions to put a sealer on it. The development was still a construction zone and the roads were still being paved. The floor became stained when the homeowner drove her car with hot asphalt tire marks on it. We offered to redo the floor but never were able to do so because we had to leave from the abuse. Wall System - We installed the slat wall system per the instructions we received from the designer. We never heard of any issues while we were at the job. The homeowner never liked the designers choice for the wall system. We would have gladly installed an extra piece of trim had we heard about it while we were there. Paint - The paint is uneven because the walls and ceiling are uneven. We would have been happy to do this minor adjustment if we hadn't already been gone from the abuse. We have over 30 years of experience working with homeowners. This is our first and only compliant that we have ever had. All our other reviews on Angie's List, Yelp and Thumbtack give us stellar A+ ratings. This can also be reflected by our unblemished record with the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation. Our goal is to make our customers happy and relieve the stress they would have doing home repairs and renovations. We would have no problem completing any of the issues but had to draw the line when the customer became more and more hostile and abusive."
Over four other competitive bids by other contractors, Alex, the owner of Rocky Remodeling, was selected to remodel our bathroom.
The removal and tear out were completed in 1 day and bathroom and all areas were left clean and free of debris. Wall and shower preparation proceeded timely.
The exiting bathroom, being built in the early 1990's had walls that were not quite plumb. We were impressed that Alex took deliberate and special care to ensure that the walls and floors where the shower door was to be affixed were plumb and square so that the glass doors would fit properly. We furnished the materials and Alex picked them up. He also went an extra mile to assist us with selections of tile and the frameless shower door.
Alex is a perfectionist and knowledge craftsman. He is friendly, congenial and professional at all times.
Throughout the construction period Alex was timely, flexible to our schedule needs.
We found him to be a gentleman of good character and demeanor.
We had been planing on updating the bathroom because it was severely outdated.
Rocky made a few suggestions and we went with it and are very happy with the results.
