After doing a ton of research and reading dozens of positive reviews, we contracted with Home Safety Solutions in May to design and install a Nautilus hurricane-rated roll-down shutter to protect our home's front entryway. We figured if the product and service came even close to living up to all the accolades we had read, then we'd likely be satisfied. Well, Home Safety Solutions actually exceeded our expectations in every way, and we absolutely recommend the company to anyone looking for a first-rate product designed and installed by first-rate people. Communication was exceptional from start to finish. Every contact was friendly and professional. The sales and office staff, the owners, the installers were all unfailingly respectful and more than willing to answer questions and show off their work. Appointments were made and kept, every time. When the first install attempt went wonky because of a measurement problem, the crew returned a few days later with the problem solved and with a small but creative redesign to better fit our space and to give us more flexibility in utilizing the shutter. The county inspector, at the request of the office, came the next day and signed off on the permit. And a few days later the crew returned, post-inspection, to cover the screw heads with matching panels that completed an attractive as well as highly functional system. Oh, that was Tuesday, with Idelia roaring up Florida's Gulf coast. Perfect timing! We slept well that night with our new hurricane-rated shutter protecting the entrance to our home. The shutters are very well made and are visually appealing. They offer hurricane protection and also shade from sun. The main feature of these shutters is that they can be closed and shut in a matter of minutes and we have total protection of our windows from flying objects in a high wind storm. The color and painting of the shutters is very good and the operation to close them or adjust the amount of light is very easy. The crew who put them in was very friendly and explained how to use them in the end. Finally, the two guys, Jason and James were very dog friendly as well. Our greyhounds were comfortable the whole time they were here. One last thing, Mike was the guy who measured the shutters and he even has someone come back to re-verify the measurements. I thought this was very good as it ensured the accuracy of the measurements and avoided any unnecessary delays.

Exceptionally conscientious, communicating with me via phone and email from start to finish as well. Totally reliable, careful, patient, and truly nice family-owned business, from phone help to "Mike" who came over several times to measure and collabarate and educate, to the installers who were so skillful. They answered all my questions, showed me several times how to put up the coverings in case of a future storm. I feel totally protected in the event of a hurricane thanks to their expertise and products. No need to go anywhere else. Veteran-affiliated. They had all the permits pulled, all the paperwork organized... what I thought would be a nightmare turned out to be a real pleasure. I would recommend Home Safety Solutions without hesitation, especially if you are making making decisions like this and fear you might be "conned". Not with Home Safety Solutions.

I highly recommend Home Safety Solutions. While not cheap...they were much cheaper than a couple of the other quotes I got. Their communication was second to none and the quality of the product so far is great. The install actually happened weeks ahead of schedule too. On the day of the install they were on time and showed me how everything worked. Again...highly recommend this company.

We are very happy with the work that Home Safety Solutions did on our home. We knew we wanted to work with a locally owned company and could not be more pleased with our decision. From my first connection to Michael to installers -- everyone was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. Michael came to our home within a few days of our initial request for info. He explained all of the options available, benefits associated with each, measured and had a quote out to us the same day. We opted for a mix of the fabric window shields for our smaller windows and EZ Screen for the larger windows and lanai opening. The installers worked efficiently and fully explained the set up and take down process. The cost was competitive and the entire process was seamless. A retired home builder of 40 years, I look for their crucial things when purchasing a product for my residual dwelling. In this case Accordion Storm Shutters, for my glass sliding doors & windows. I look for: (1)" Quality" of the material used in the manufacture of the product. (2) "Workmanship" in the production & assembly of the product. (3) "Installation" of the finished product. I wanted to thank Home Safety Solutions for a great experience. When I decided to get hurricane panels for my home, I got three quotes. The reason I chose Home Safety Solutions was largely because Michael Tamme’s quote was so professional. It listed every single opening on my home with pricing for each. It was very clear, complete and he sent it to me very quickly. The other two quotes I got were literally a number, without detail. The sales people were great, but my confidence in their companies was lessened by the form of their quotes. It was hard for me to make the decision to go forward because this was a significant amount of money for something I may never use. However, I’m so glad, now, that I went forward! The men who came out to measure were friendly, on time and so fastidious that they came a second time to double check something. The installers were wonderful, prompt, professional and took the time to explain things to me. They also clearly labeled each panel. I decided to actually go ahead and put up every single panel on my house, to make sure everything was correct. There ended up being a shortage of fastening hardware, but the company sent someone out in a flash to bring me the missing hardware. And everything else was perfect. My panels are aluminum, with a clear panel on each window, to allow light inside the house. The panels were super easy to install. They look professional and the amount of light the clear panel allows in is perfect! FYI, we did wear work gloves because there are sharp edges. And, lastly: the storage of the panels.
