Home Floors Inc or Florida Forever Floors in Oldsmar is strictly interested in its bottom line and has no concern for the consumer. I had them replace carpet in 5 of our rooms in our new house with a laminate waterproof flooring. The first issue happened when they removed carpet from 2 bedrooms. Under the carpet was what appeared to be the original tile from when the home was built in 1981. The owner, Manny, initially called it VCT tile and I was asked if I wanted to leave it or have it taken out. I chose to have it removed. I learned after the fact from a friend that VCT tile in residential homes in the early 80’s could contain Asbestos! No warning to me from Home Floors Inc. Their installer took no precautions in removing the tile. I had to subsequently hire a firm to test the rooms for Asbestos. Thankfully it came back negative. A professional flooring company should have warned me about the potential risks involved with removing the tile....that’s why I hired a professional...so I thought. Next issue was the moisture in our concrete slab. After about a week of letting the rooms air out and having the testing done, Home Floors Inc put in the new flooring. Within 2-3 weeks, we began to notice the floors in the same 2 bedrooms beginning to buckle. Our transitions were on back order and Manny indicated the installer would take a look when he came out to install the transitions. The installer looked and quickly spotted water/moisture coming up between the seems of the new “waterproof” flooring. We had to pull up the flooring in both rooms. To our shock, the flooring was covered in mold as well as. Home Floors Inc.’s solution was to stack the flooring in our house to let it dry while I took care of the mold and tried to figure out the moisture issue. The stink of the flooring that was covered in mold was too much to have in the house and I made the installer move it to the garage. Still not sure how pieces of wet cork bottom flooring would dry stacked on top of each other?! Also, their suggestion for cleaning the mold was for me to wipe down each piece....me?! This all would have been avoided if they had conducted a simple moisture test on my concrete slab prior to installing the flooring (now I know this)! Even the manufacturer’s installation instructions requires a moisture test to keep the warranty from being voided (they left me a box of extra floor material). Now I know why they didn’t return the damaged flooring to the manufacture for replacement. Their satisfaction guarantee statement is false. Now, that I have addressed the moisture issue, they want to charge me full price minus a nominal discount to put in new flooring...what?! This was an issue that could have been avoided if they had simply done their job and tested for moisture prior to installation. I don’t blame them for the moisture issue that was present, but again they did not take the steps that a professional flooring company would normally take (now I know)! BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Now 3 months into this ordeal, the other 3 rooms are starting to show similar signs. I anticipate having to pull that flooring up soon to deal with the mold that I am sure is now present! I am sure that Manny will be happy for us to pay for that too. He will not get another cent of my money and I hope you avoid them as well!

They were great. They came on time, professional and very careful about what they were doing but it was great. Before, they actually installed carpet and my tile but it was about 5 or 6 years ago and I got a high quality team just like they did when they installed this.

I contacted the company, I got a call back the same day from Manny.  He came out to the house and measured and discussed our options.  We went to the showroom to look at laminate and to discuss tile options.  We were looking for a specific tile that we already have in one bathroom and he was able to find the exact match.  Shortly after he emailed us a price and gave us a courtesy call to follow up and see if we had any questions.  After shopping around at a few places we could not find anyone that was as accommodating as Manny.  Now, it was time to pick a date to start the job.  We knew because of the holidays it was going to be hectic but Manny was able to fit us in to start on Monday 11/11.  The two man crew showed up at exactly 8:00 a.m. and started working immediately.  I'm not kidding they had most of the furniture removed and or transferred to rooms within the hour.  Manny also came that morning to make sure everything was going as planned.  We have a twenty-four hundred square foot home.  There was tile everywhere except in the four bedrooms.  They removed most of the tile that first day and left the carpet in the bedrooms so we were able to sleep. I was thankful we didn't have to move out while the job was taking place.  We joked and said they were like ants they moved so fast and never wasted a minute.  I left to go out of town on Thursday morning of that week, by the time I got home on Saturday all of the tile was done and the laminate was finished in the bedrooms.  (there was another guy that did the laminate while the other two only worked on the tile) They came in on Monday 11/18 to do the grout and finished it that same day.  I can't say enough about how pleased we were with the workers: they were friendly, informative and took such pride in their work.  Our home looks beautiful.  The only downfall was the dust but that is normal when you have to demolish the old tile.

someone from this company came out.. to look at my flooring and what need to be done.. First they didtnt seem interested in doing to job. no interest was there.. i told contractor.. what kind of flooring and gave him a piece of laminate i need to be closely match.. and told him i got it at home depot.. he proceed to tell me i need to go and find out from home depot the number and style.. ok..that he has something close at the office and will call or email and give me a price..

My experience with them was favourable. What stood out were their workmanship and the people that put the flooring in, and their professionalism. I think their people have good skills, but they are better with tiles than with wood flooring. They were overpriced.

I did not like these guys and the price. They are outrageous. It was a dollar per foot for a wood floor. More for the wood and I did not get around that. He had add-ons, he was going to put base boards all around and that kind of stuff and ended up outrageous.

The overall experience was pleasant. There was a problem with scheduling but it all worked out and we were very pleased with the flooring. I would recommend this company to anyone.

First of all, Manny worked very hard to find hardwood flooring that was within my budget. I was very happy when we found a hardwood/carpet combination that I could afford. The tear up of the old floors got started a day late because of a delay on the job before mine, but they did a great job removing all of the old tile. Steve and his crew found the slab was moist so they leveled and sealed it before installing the hardwood. They were very pleasant to work with and did a quality job with the installation. The carpet installers were professional also and accommodated my request to run the TV cable under the carpet along the baseboards in one room, and replace any moisture-damaged tack strips. They were quick and efficient. I would definitely use Home Floors again!

The workers came in on time. They first were going to lay the tile down first, and the next day another set of guys came to do the hardwood floors.It took them two days for everything and did a fantastic job.Everything went smoothly without any issues.These guys were very nice to work with.They all worked very hard.On the second day they were getting behind but stayed late without complaining and got the job done. I will hire this company again to install hardwood floors in my living room in the future. I was just searching for a contractor to remove a wall and stumbled across Home Floors!  I had no idea they were on Angie's List.  I have to give them an EXCELLENT review!  First, back in 2006 we had some water damage from rain in one of our bedrooms and had to have the carpet replaced.  Home Floors did a great job of matching the carpet so close to the rest of the area and I didn't have to do all the work.  The price was also great.  Then we remodeled our oldest son's roon in 2008 and again, they did an excellent job at an excellent price for the carpet and padding.  Last year we decided to replace the family room carpet, tile a small hallway area that was previously carpeted to match the incoming walkway, fix two broken tiles, recarpet a bedroom,  and replace carpet in the home office with hardwood.  This is the most recent job reference in pricing above.  AGAIN, EXCELLENT service and price!  Since this was a much bigger job than a bedroom I really did shop around on price.  I was thrilled with the price and the service could not have been better, as usual--I'm now spoiled.  Not only was the salesman great in helping me select the product that gave me the results I wanted, he stayed in contact with me.  The installers were on time, nicest guys ever, and respected my home. They cleaned up everything well after they were done and didn't even leave a scrap of paper in the yard.  We had one glitch, the manufacturer sent the wrong carpet for the family room and I saw the order, it was the manufacture's fault.  After consulting me, they installed the wrong carpet with my consent so my family room would be functional while we waited for the correct carpet to arrive.  Home Floors not only immediately got the order corrected but when we expressed an interest in the carpet that was shipped for another bedroom they sold us the carpet at a discount and gave us the padding and install for FREE for our inconvenience!  It has always been an amazing experience to deal with them and I will continue to do so in the future! I was looking for a paver installer and I came across Home Floors through my HOA website. Furthermore, I was planning on upgrading my home flooring. I explored their website and Facebook page and decided to visit their brand new design center that same day. Fortunately, I realized I had met the owner 6 years ago at my neighbor's home and I was very impressed with their workmanship. I met the friendly and knowledgeable sales manager, Gail. She was attentive to my needs and answered my questions and concerns completely. I enjoyed looking at the array of products they had to offer and she took her time with me and I never once felt pressured. The installation crew were professional, courteous and hard workers. I appreciate their attention to detail. The owner, Manny was always available and he wanted to make sure I was happy and completely satisfied. He genuinely values customer satisfaction. I love my new flooring! Home Floors knew what I wanted and they delivered.

This is a very small company and a pleasure to work with. I requested that they match the wood in the rest of my house when putting flooring in a guest room. The owner was especially responsive in obtaining the exact product that I asked for to match the rest of the house. He was also very communicative about delivery delays that were not his fault. The installation was done by a 2-man crew and was not really supervised by the owner, although he dropped in. When the crew was finished and ready to go I noticed that, while the molding around the perimeter of the room had been replaced, they had not caulked it. They apparently did not intend to do that. The installer complied with my request to caulk the molding and completed the job to my satisfaction. Because I had dealt so much with the owner I would have liked more supervision, especially so that the issue of doing the finishing properly would not have come up, presumably.

Gail was patient answering our many questions and explaining differences in product. She really took time to find out how we lived and what we liked which was extremely helpful in making decisions about, color, design, durability etc. She seemed to care from the beginning, not just about getting our business, but about being sure if she got it that we would be happy with the results for a long time! It was a huge and messy project but we LOVE the outcome. We had a few concerns with a chipped tile and a carpet seam in what was obviously a challenging area but Gail insisted she wanted us to be completely satisfied and she sent key folks back to respond to our concerns. We will definitely be asking them for ideas and to bid on the master bath remodel which we expect to get underway in a few months. Gail was just wonderful to work with. She has a great eye for details. We believe we got "The A Team"!

Gail Cofta was very accommodating. From the time I entered the store, she helped get my job done as quickly as possible and she made sure the schedule worked around mine. The crew she sent were very professional. I believe the job was very well done.

Great. She colors she picked out and her flexibility in coming to our home to help make sure everything matched was awesome. Gail worked with a company that installed our granite and there were a few mistakes that were made on behalf of the granite company. She rectified the situation immediately and ended up saving us a bunch of money in the process. Highly recommend and we will be calling her back when we do more improvements.

The installers came on time and worked 10 hours a day without a break to make sure the job was finished in two days. The owner of the store and the representative stopped by several times to check on the job.

They were very prompt and responsive. They did what they said they would do. They also gave us a discount since we had used them the year before for tile. We had a great experience with them in both cases.
