Economy Pool

I have contracted with this service over the course of about ~4 months. When I have spoken with their representatives I found them receptive to my concerns, these issues were a lack of cleaning build up on the walls of the pool, a misinstallation of a device that rendered the pool pump nonfunctional for a week or so, these things happen. As time went on I found that despite correcting some errors other would arise in their turn ultimately culminating in near catastrophe. Before setting up swim lessons for our baby, I checked and the pool filter was so dirty there was lack of waterflow to our pool pump. The pool pump turning with no water placed the pump at risk of breaking. In my experience, I previously cleaned the filter on a minimum of monthly basis and have never had the filter clog. If my filter was not functioning well I would have checked at rectified this. In truth I should have checked their work sooner, but when I contract a service that previously performed at least to minimum standard, I got complacent. When I did check and found our equipment in a rough state. I cleaned the filter twice and got the water checked. In contract with the company I had changed my pool to a salt water pool. They placed a chlorinator and I was under the assumption that they converted the pool to salt water as they were advertising. After placing a chlorinator at my pool they did indeed lower the bill but failed to increase ppm of salt. When the water checked by an auxiliary company it was at 660 ppm which should have been at 2500-3000 ppm. In speaking with the professionals at pinch-a-penny and leslie pools and back checking the water twice, no one had heard of a salt pool functioning with no salt as salt is needed for the chlorinator to function with lack of salt placing the chlorinator at risk of malfunction. A brief google search corroborated the expert opinions. In the end, I don’t wish ill will on this family company with seeming nice employees but I would be remiss to excuse the entirety of errors that required righting, leading to compromise of our pool equipment and cleanliness of our pool that our new child is now learning to swim in. If I didn’t previously didn't have experience in cleaning my pool, and didn’t understand how straightforward the minimum standard is in cleaning pools, I might not be as judgmental. In short if you want your pool filter cleaned, your pool skimmed or swept and your chemicals managed appropriately on a near monthly basis this service may not be for you. In the end we just wanted a reliably clean, functioning pool for a set price. After this most recent turn of events, we brought these issues to the company and have not received any apologies or any offers to right any errors that would be expected in any consumer service field. What this tells me is that these problems that we experienced likely occur to others and be handled in a similar way. A phone call is free and the sentiment behind it underlies the professional nature and pride that lies in a provider of a service and that providers ability to have empathy for the concerns of it consumers . Two weeks have passed and the lack of a response is deafening. However to their credit they happily came out to remove the equipment and were not concerned with losing business. Hence, the name economy pool...you get what you pay for.
