Contractor replied to phone message within two days and came to house to give estimate for work requested. He arrived at time designated. Although he made suggestions about the work I wanted done, he acted like he really didn't want to do it. Not sure if just his personality but came across as a little rude. Received a proposal in the mail, which was not a proposal but a a summary of work to be performed and a total. A proposal should list all materials and labor and cost per item. The estimate was very high and in conjunction with the attitude of the contractor decided I would not hire this company to complete the job. After talking to other people in the neighborhood, they told me that this company was one of the highest in town. I do not mind paying for quality work but when the contractor does not act like he cares then I don't think the work would be done very well.
