Worst experience ever!!! Owner made up more excuses as to why job was delayed and misrepresented how deck was going to look. Also the durability of job. It has been a little over a year and the deck has peeled up in several places. When I called the owner back he was rude on the phone and refused to come out and look at the deck surface. A what a tremendous waste of $3000.00

LOUSY Company, do your research before hiring! The owner constantly lied about when his crew would here to work and what was getting done. We NEVER got more than 8 hours a WEEK of work and what we were told would be a 3 week job has now turned into 4 months and is still unfinished. We paid Dave (owner) in full and the job is not finished. He keeps telling us his workers will be out to finish, but they never show up. Some of what has been done needs to be fixed, including the pool finish (discolored), the rock on the spa walls (leaking and concrete all over it), and pavers sinking. The spa is unfinished (missing rock on top) the coping and rock has not been sealed, deco drain uneven, and pool water is full of sediment.

BUYER BEWARE. I will try to be even- handed in the remarks.  On the plus side, Dave McKinnon (Owner) used good, name brand Hayward pump and mechanical components. Also, he was professional and courteous when discussing our new pool's various options.
On the negative side:
1. Our pool finish (quartz aggregate, the most common finish still in use today by pool builders) began coming off after about 5 years. Other pool companies recently have told me we should have gotten a good 12 year life or so from our pool finish.  . We have been trying to save up our money for a pool re-finishing, and it's now 8 years later. The pool has many, many large pits of removed material where you can see the brown, underlying raw concrete that is exposed.  I'm just getting to this review now as we just joined Angie's List, and now shopping for reputable companies to refinish our pool.  Seamco's crew surely did a poor job, likely did not apply the finish thick enough, didn't mix it right, and/or did not perform a professional job on the underlying "bonding" coat. It looked good when brand new, but over time we started to find our new pool finish in the pump's skimmer basket. Not good.
2. The pool light, still today, has never worked right. Perhaps someone will fix the mistake of this company, which like most pool builders they actually subbed out the electrical work (see review for Hawkins Electrical) - so that problem likely lies with Hawkins Electrical.
3. Regarding the pool pitting problem which first showed evidence in the spa, I called SEAMCO and they had someone come out and patch the first hole.  After that, they never returned our calls for further pool  finish-pitting problems. I quickly came to understand this "game"?
4.  When I wanted to ask them a question about the type of valve they installed (the handle broke with normal wear, so I wanted to replace it with the same form-and-fit brand.... they never returned my call.
5. The story ends with... Beware, this company took $28,000 for a new home pool and spa and they did extremely poor work which now, I'm about to pay somebody else to fix their shoddy workmanship.   

Last year, this company came out and gave us an estimate on pool, deck, and screen repairs.  However, due to a more pressing financial need, we put this off for a year.  This year we were back in the market for this work to get done so we called them back and left a message.  They never got back with us.  We called them back multiple times, left messages, asked them to re-send the last estimate, etc.  They came back each time with a sad excuse; someone stole their Wi-Fi connection so they could not email us anything, forgot our name and phone number, too busy to call .. . I forget them all.  Needless to see, they never did respond to our request for an estimate.  I see this as VERY uprofessional and don't see how they stay in business with this attitude.

More than a week and a half later, I called him to ask when I could expect his proposal, and he said he was away from the office and would contact me when he got back to his home office. That was more than five days ago and he has still not contacted me. I guess they don't need the business.

THIS WAS AN EXAMPLE OF POOR PROFESSIONALISM. I HAD TO LEAVE WORK EARLY TO MAKE THIS APPOINTMENT, AND THEN THE GUY NEVER SHOWED UP!
