Laurel Oaks Nursery & Tree Farm

We called them out to come take a look at our property. Forrest came out and had great ideas for landscaping our home. He agreed not only to come up with a beautiful design, but to oversee our new irrigation and sod as well. He scheduled an appointment for us to go out to the nursery to discuss plants. We spent over an hour with him riding around the nursery and discussing his ideas and plants we liked and didn't like etc. Next, he sent us a detailed message laying out the details and dates that the crew members would be doing things on our property. The dates came and went with no correspondence at all. We've called, left multiple messages for Forrest, text, emailed, and my husband even went down there twice to see what was going on. We were told Forrest wasn't in and they would tell him we stopped by. Nothing. He has completely ghosted us. If they are too busy to take on a project as big as ours, just tell us. The unprofessionalism displayed by this company is unacceptable. Forrest wasted hours of our time and set us back weeks on a project we wanted and needed finished as soon as possible. Would never recommend.

Don't purchase anything at this nursery. I purchased 5 plants (Loropetalum) 5 weeks ago and immediately planted all 5. Within 3-4 weeks 2 had died. The remaining 3 were fine. I drove to the Laurel's Oaks Plants & Tree Farm today, 9/12/20 and was told that I must have planted the plants incorrectly. I told the management that I planted all 5 and 3 were doing fine, (had photos) and that all were planted in the same are next to one another. All that I was asking for was a replacement. The cost was $10.00 each. The manager became nasty and I left, drove to Home Depot, and purchased 2 more Loropetalums at $10.99 each that looked much healthier than the one's sold by Laurel's Oaks Plants & Tree Farm. The Home Deport plants have a 6 month warranty. I should add that I have been a long term customer at Laurel's Oaks Plants & Tree Farm and have spent thousands over the years there. No more, they have lost a customer forever (over $20.00 retail cost) and I will be certain to do some advertising for them by telling everyone who will listen not to buy anything there.

After spending over $4,000 in landscaping, (did a great job installing and it looked beautiful,) I had a croton die. I called the owner (he’s the one that always answered) 5 times over the course of 3 months. He kept telling me, “I’ll get out there next week.” And that next week never came. My fourth call, he addressed that he hadn’t been out and said, “you have my promise next week, by Thursday.” Well, Thursday night came at 5pm, and off goes another call to the owner. He said I’m on the list and he’ll get to it. I said, I need a time and date, which he couldn’t give. I then said, “I guess I’ll have to report this to the BBB or leave a dissatisfied review.” His response, “well, now you’re threatening me” and he hung up the line.

He installed these shrubs, but one did not take and died. He said since the other shrubs were doing fine it was defective or went into shock. Took picture to nursery and they said they only replace dead shrubs if they installed them ( at a cost of course of course). I then asked if I could get some sort of discount on a replacement shrub an was very curly denied.

They kept promising to come and do some work which they failed to do and it’s been 2 years and they continue to say they’ll be here in a couple of weeks so it’s been 2 years we finally gave up on them.

We worked specifically with Forrest throughout the whole process. He was nothing short of amazing. We had several people out at our house prior to Forrest and they all asked what we wanted after we had told them we had no clue. Forrest was the only one to take advantage of that opportunity. He took our bare boring yard with zero landscaping and turned it into a beautifully landscaped property on a budget we could afford. He drove us around their huge nursery on a golf cart cart and let us point out things we liked, he then came back to us with a plan for plants and trees that would thrive in our yard. We love it. Since then about 10 other people in our community have used them as well. I highly recommend them.

Absolutely awful.  Terrible.  I deeply regret hiring this business to work at my home. 
The provider failed to properly design or implement the project.  The work that was done was below standard.  The relocated plants are dying. The new plants have fungus growing on them that's spread to my lawn requiring remediation.  The mulch beds were not cleaned out and renewed, rather they just dumped mulch on top of my existing mulch.  The sod that was put down was installed sloppily.  They cut my pool drain line and didn't address it, instead they threw the cut pipe into the middle of my yard for me to find. 
The owner Dave is arrogant and belligerent.  Doesn't stand behind the work of his company.
It was an absolutely awful job and it's an awful company.  I am very unhappy the workmanship and integrity of this business.  I would stay clear of them.

We purchased over a dozen large trees of various varieties to place around our new pool and had Laurel Oaks install them.   The plants are high quality. We selected them in the spring and Laurel Oaks held them for us for several weeks until the pool was completed.  They brought them on time, and had a large crew of guys and installed them in just over 1/2 day.  They worked with us to place and position them, and we could not be happier.  Dave always has plenty of suggestions for plants to consider and happily drives us around the nursery to show us material we might like to use whenever we drop by the nursery.

They are excellent! Great people, really good product, great service and very professional.

From the design phase to final installation my wife and I could not have been more pleased. It looks beautiful; and both Karen and Dave have been very informative regarding maintenance.

Once we had a design in mind, we met with Karen, the designer, as well as Dave, the owner, and talked about plants, irrigation and how the process would work.  Laurel Oaks Nursery has golf carts and we did several tours around the grounds to look at plants and trees etc.  If we wanted to hold an item, Karen would mark the tree with our name on it.  We then left a deposit of half the total cost in order to hold our plants.
Once we came up with an estimated total, we tweaked it so that it was within our budget.  Actually, it was no problem even as the workers were in our yard to make changes to the plan.  They were very easy to work with and have beautiful, healthy plants to choose from.  If I had a question I would e-mail Karen and she was always quick about responding.
The work lasted 3 days from start to finish and they cleaned up very well.  We have had comments from our neighbors about how beautiful it looks.

The installation of the new palm, along with the removal of the 2 old palms, was all performed successfully.   Also, the work was performed very neatly with a very rigerous cleanup of all debris caused by the work.

These guys earned an A+.  From our first visit to Laurel Oaks Nursery, they were very helpful.  Forrest took us on a tour of their extensive tree farm and nursery, describing freeze tolerances, how various options fit in the overall scheme, etc.  He visited our home and advised on a plan.  He supervised the crew, which completed the job in a timely manner, then cleaned up the area.  The result is outstanding.  The quoted price was reasonable and the quality of plants & tree are very good.  We highly recommend using Laurel Oaks.
