Happy Pools

Had them for approximately 6 weeks. My weekly service day was supposed to be Tuesday. Never showed on Tuesday. Always an excuse as to why they couldn’t show and wouldn’t even courtesy call to let me know they weren’t coming. One week I called on Thursday wondering when they would be by. Told them my pool was turning green since it hadn’t been cleaned the week prior (due to “rain” - it was sprinkling, not even) and because of rain. Was told they’d be out Friday. Still didn’t show till Saturday. Then they spent 3 minutes “cleaning” my pool. I’ll leave it up to your imagination to determine what that looked like. Never had to chase a company before. When I called to cancel the tech lied to the receptionist and told her he had been by this week. I’ve been home all week recovering from surgery, glued to my couch, and with windows open. Never saw anyone. I also have very sensitive cameras on all sides of my house that normally capture him coming... except this week of course. They clearly don’t care about their customers.

Supposed to come weekly to clean pool . They send their bill like clock work but their staff unfortunately do not come weekly . They leave no card etc . They do not return calls and they refuse to give written estimates for repair.

Company took my address and contact info and said they would come the next day. Never showed up and never called as of one week later.

In the beginning there were some service issues, but I relate that to employee turnover; the person assigned to our pool left their employment and nobody was assigned to us. After 2 weeks of no service, I called and spoke with the owner who was very apologetic and provided free service for the month. With that said, their service recovery was excellent, they responded immediately to my call and had somebody cleaning my pool that day. Since then our service has been excellent and their price is very competitive. I would recommend Happy Pools!

I wouldn't change to anybody else because it would cost more. They did come out and they do clean. I don't know if other pool service is probably more expensive. It's just satisfactory.

This company started out fine. Then slowly but surely the quality of service steadily declined till they were not showing up at all. They would not answer their messages. I left a message for them to come and clean the pool and by the next call I gave up and fired them because they would not call me back and my pool was full of green scum. I had to clean the pool myself and shock it so I could hire another company to start to take over the maintenance. I never liked the way they just left a business card with hand written and quot;pool cleaned, chemicals addedand quot; Never said what they did that day or what or how much chemicals were added.
I called them 3 different times to fix a main drain cover and they never got back to me. They broke 2 different screens on my pool cage doors. Only repaired one. All in all not a good company to have anywhere near your home.

A great company to deal with and good people.

The month of December 2012 is when the problems with this company began. I called Stephanie and advised her that my pool clearly was not being serviced because it has algae all around the pool. I had not noticed it because I was out of town for two weeks.
She said someone would come out to check it. I don't know what the name of the person who came by that evening but when I tried to explain to him that my pool had clearly not been serviced and my cameras could prove it, he became hostile and had the nerve to say it was my fault, in that I did not clean my filter! I have two filters and they are always checked, and if they were a reputable company their technician would have left me a card like they used to every week advising me that they added chemicals or to advise me if there was a problem. This was what I attempted to tell the person (who had never serviced my pool before) what service had been done to date. He became rude and stated and quot;we will no longer service your pooland quot;, to which I replied and quot;works for me.and quot; I called Stephanie and left a message telling her of my experience and told her I no longer want them to service my pool. I immediately started pool service with Mike's Pool Service (813) 962-4020 December 2012 and had them fix the algae problem and they have been servicing my pool since.

I have been using them for weekly pool service for several years. Overall one of the better services in the area. They have a lot of turnover with their pool people. Not really their fault, the nature of the industry and pay scale. I have had to call a couple times and have them come back but the pool looks good. If I do get algae or something they take care of it right away.

By far, they had the best price around town. I received two other quotes, which were very expensive. I plan to keep using them for regular/monthly service. The staff was very courteous, polite, and friendly.

Had to call to remind them to clean pool. Heater was not property repair and had issue during home inspection (trying to sell house). They are pleasant to deal with, just nothing special. Said wouldn't use again, because there are too many other pool businesses out there to try they could be just as good or better.

So far, I've been very pleased. I relocated from Mass to FL, but didn't move down right away and wanted the pool to be kept up. I contacted Happy Pools based on a handful of good reviews on Angie's List. Per my next door neighbor, they were here every week. They leave a card every time they visit, just so you know they were here. At one point, the water level in the pool was very high and we were in for heavy rain while I was still out of town. I called them and they made it to the house to backwash within a day, just before the storm arrived. Once I got to the house, they took some time to give me an overview of the pool systems to help get me familiar with it. They charge me $70 per month, which I'm learning is pretty competitive. Actually, my neighbor just asked me for their number too. Very happy with them so far.

Great. pool. They are always on time. They do a better job and for less money than my last service. Whenever I have had a question, they are easy to contact and quick to respond

Bought a home and a few days later there's a problem with the pool. I was a bit freaked out and used Angie's List to find a pool repair service. I called Happy Pools about a broken pump in our new Palm Harbor home, and the following day they came out and gave us an estimate for replacing a 3/4 hp pool pump. Two days later the pool pump was professionally installed, and not only that, but it was installed for less than the estimate they had given us! Honest. Professional. Trustworthy. Call Happy Pools. You won't be disappointed.

We received the lowest most reasonable quote from Happy Pools after shopping around. The technician arrived well after the scheduled time, but was very courteous and apologetic. Did a great job, down to earth, and as new pool owners took the time to explain a few things to us at no extra cost. Would definitely recommend to others. He got the job done and we did not feel ripped off.

They did exactly what they said they would do. They got in, got the job done and were out very quickly. They gave us a fair estimate and got started on the work immediately. We are very pleased with the work.

Pool blowing bubbles. Tried several fixes - unsuccessful. Called Happy Pools - they came out the next day - determined the problem and fixed it on the spot. In and out quickly. Great service.

These guys are great! We are renters in Twin Lakes of Brandon at the end of Boomingdale. The pool cleaning service came with the home rental agreement. We have not dealt wih any other Brandon area pool service to date. These guys, Ken and Bill, are very dependable. Always show up for their days. Polite and friendly. They both have answered any questions I've had. Happy Pools has been our company since July 2010 and we have no complaints. The water is always clear and beautiful. They don't seem to mind our dog or kids when they're out back. They don't bother us at all; we don't even know they have been by except that they leave a calling card. I would recommend Ken or Bill to anyone I know.

We are very pleased with them. They're very reliable, so far so good.
