HOMEOWNERS BEWARE … I contacted this company to service an older air conditioner for a home I just purchased. In less than 10 minutes, I was informed the unit had a leak and was so old, that the cost of freon was over $1,000 as freon for older units was no longer made, and the cost of repair to the unit would be over $4,000. At the same time, I was informed the unit violated the county code as the unit was sitting on dirt instead of the required cement block so it would be sitting above ground level. Three times, the technician a/k/a “salesman” told me the cost of my monthly electric bill would be over $350 for a 1400 sq ft home. Immediately, the requested service turned into a sales pitch, and by the end of the visit, I was given a quote for $8,900 to replace the entire unit. Then, emailed me a quote with approved financing (something I never applied for) for three years, and all I had to do was “accept” the emailed quote” while the salesman waited. Thankfully, I decided to obtain a second quote, and for $280 I had the unit cleaned, serviced, and confirmed the unit was ONLY how of freon, and once cleaned, the unit can be seen sitting above ground on a cement block.

I would not use them ever again. The condenser motor needed to be replaced (it had quit). Showed me my gas was low & when I said something about the unit needing to be on guess what, no problem with the gas. Installed a new motor the guy was having trouble getting it back in the unit & then it was vibrating really badly. In checking I noticed he had bent the fan blade trying to reinstall the unit. His answer was oh well. Sent someone else out. He said it was probably the fan. So now instead of replacing it at their cost wanted me to purchase a new one. Being they bent the fan I said I would pay their cost for the fan not retail cost and they would install it at their cost. I felt this was generous being they bent the existing fan. Then in taking it in and out of the unit they striped a bolt that holds the motor together. Said they would fix that when they came back to put the fan in. I didn't hear anything from them for a few days. So I called them. Now they want me to pay the trip charge again and pay for them to install the fan. They bent the fan it is their responsibility to fix it. The motor is still viverating badly. So first they said they would not charge for the installation of the fan, but I had to pay for the fan itself. I will be contacting my attorney.

This company doesn't stand by their work. I bought a new unit on 7/29/19 and had to be repaired repeatedly on 7/30, 7/31, 8/12, 9/20, 9/25, 9/30, 10/1, 10/3, 10/11, and 10/13. It took several levels of escalation before they finally replaced the unit on 10/15/19. The only thing they seemed to care about was when I called Wells Fargo to refuse to pay for the unit. On 10/6/21 the compressor went out - despite their 2 year labor warranty, they "No Longer Service this area"

Had a new unit installed in early July, which then had several leaks and didn’t work for 4 days (including over July 4th weekend) out of the first 7 days. Called owner and he could NOT send a tech out on Sunday (even though they advertise same day service). What upset us the most was he had no urgency behind his words. My family had horrible hot, nights at home. The techs were very professional, they did their best to resolve the problem when they came out (multiple times). I appreciated their professionalism. At one point I had to call another AC company to try to resolve the problem. A maintenance plan was offered as a consolidation prize but didn’t help reduce the frustration/anger we encountered. Very disappointed with company owner and the way he handled our AC problems after spending thousands of dollars!!!! After several weeks, still waiting to hear from him to ask how things are going.

They were phenomenal. They were very reasonable and did great work. They are very flexible and have come over late at night before. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

All the employees that we met from Air Hawk were courteous, respectful, knowledgeable and prompt. They did what they said they were going to do and they were very neat and tidy. They always wore booties when they came in the house and they continually offered to answer any questions.

They are right on time keep you informed on work progress and complete work in timely manner would definitely recommend them to anyone

In a time in which really good customer service is hard to come by...these folks get it! I had to replace my entire HVAC system this week and selected Air Hawk for the job. Not only did I receive a good product at a reasonable price, I found a company who understands what really good customer service is all about. From my initial call, to the post-installation follow up, every person has been professional, timely, and courteous. I do not recall the last time a rated a company 5/5...Air Hawk as earned a 6 from me!

I had a new air handler and compressor installed in June, with a new Wi-Fi thermostat. I couldn't get the Wi-Fi to work properly. When I had a service call in December, the technician (Ryan) was not able to get it to work, so they did the only thin Air Hawk could do, replace it with a superior thermostat!!! When Danny (technician) came out to install the new thermostat, he made sure it was linked to my Wi-Fi, and gave me some other tips as well! I feel like I have a smarthome now. Thanks Air Hawk!!

Outstanding the gentleman Mark was very professional, he explained everything that caused the problem the work he did outstanding and after everything was done he checked everything inside and out to make sure my house was cooling. I would recommend Mark to all my friends and Military friends if Air Hawk has employees like Mark then they’ll go a long way and have plenty of customers forever. They came out on a Friday night to diagnose what wa going on with the air handler. Our unit is only two years old so it is under the manufacturer warranty still so we did have to wait for the part till Monday but Air Hawk was amazing in following up with us as far as calling us on Saturday to let us know we wouldn’t be able to get it all fixed till then. When Monday came around I heard first thing that they were able to get the part and they had a technician at our house that afternoon and it was fixed in about 15 minutes! I would for sure recommend Air Hawk to anyone! Everyone I came in contact with was very professional, caring, and knowledgable!

These guys are top notch. From the responsiveness to communication to knowledgeable techs. I have finally found an AC company I can trust. They did exactly what they said they would do, showed up on time, same day and communicated extremely well with text, phone and email. Easiest home repair ever and didn't have to wait around at all. I loved working with Air Hawk! I initially called them out for some minor ductwork repairs and to do a duct cleaning, which I had performed by another company several years ago. Mark took a look at my ducts, which were original to the house (1987) and recommended I consider replacing all the ductwork. I knew this was a possibility, especially considering I have had several concerns about air flow, electric costs, etc. He showed me pictures of the existing ductwork in the house and pointed out the problems he could see, and then gave me an idea of the recommendations that could help. He did advise me that replacing all the ducts would be expensive, but it might help preserve the life of my unit and would address some of the issues I had been experiencing. Once I approved the quote, he spoke with the owner to schedule a time. I was originally told the project would take a few days, but I was excited to learn that they did not have many jobs scheduled for the following day so they would try to knock it out in one day. They sent out so many guys - all hands on deck! They worked tirelessly for the entire day and were able to complete the job, start to finish, in one day. I loved that they prioritized the job and sent out as many people as they could spare in order to make the job so efficient. They explained the process, had great communication, and the follow up was excellent. I will definitely be calling Air Hawk for my future needs!

My second review of Air Hawk. They just replaced my 10 year old upstairs unit with a new Rheem unit with Honeywell climate control add on. These guys are great - honest, smart, well trained. The old unit and some nasty ductwork were replaced in 1 day and hurricane upgrades were made outside. The techs were professional and respectful and got the job done. My attic is a nasty cramped space and my systems and ductwork were poorly designed. I’ve just eliminated half of the problem (Still have the stupid downstairs unit) in one day with Air Hawk. I’ve been in Tampa for 25 years and used probably 10 different A/C companies before I met Joe Massa (Air Hawk owner). There really is no other company comparable to them in terms of service, skill and price. The Techs I deal with (Mark, Richard, Bobbie) are all smart and extremely customer oriented.

Called back within minutes. Came over checked problem and got parts and fixed system. Start to finish five hours. Great work!!!

Tech showed up on time, diagnoised problem and replaced part. Entire process from setting up service call to completion of job went seamless. Office staff to Tech are top notch. Highly recommend.

Our air conditioner stopped working and they were able to come out the same day. The drip line was clogged and the capacitor needed to be replaced. The technician was very knowledgeable and explained how the whole system works. He gave us some tips on how to maintain the drip line to keep it from clogging again. I will definitely use them again in the future to service our a/c system.

After buying our home, the folks at Air Hawk tried everything they could to keep a previously poorly installed cheap system running for us. When it was no longer feasible, they provided me with several options to replace the old system. They thoroughly discussed the pros and cons of each option so that I could make an informed decision. Within 2 hours of deciding, they were installing my new system. The work crew was polite, neat, and took time to explain what they were doing. Once the job was complete, they cleaned up everything right down to sweeping the garage floor. They then explained the whole system to me. I know have a dependable high efficiency system that was installed right. Thanks Air Hawk.
