About us
A & B Aquatics is owned and operated by Aaron Jackson. Aaron started A & B Aquatics in August of 2003 after he helped clean a family members lake. It was then that he realized that cleaning a lake is hard work but the end result is breathtaking. Today A & B Aquatics is proud to service homeowners, business owners and communities throughout the Tampa Bay Area. Ponds and lakes not only add beauty and value to the land, but are also a natural resource providing recreation and a habitat for fish and wildlife. Aquatic plants are an important element of any aquatic ecosystem, whether it is a pond, lake, canal, river, reservoir or any other waterway. However when aquatic plants begin to flourish and affect human activities negatively, these plants then become a nuisance. We specialize in aquatic weed and algae control using approved herbicides and algaecides or by manually de-rooting the vegetation.

Removed a very large amount of cattails -110 x 120 by the roots. Blasted out at the roots. Neighbors had theirs done by other company, they cut them off about a foot under the water line. Leaving "stubble". has nothing but problems since.
Searched for a long time to find these guys.
They provided a fast and professional service. 6 guys took about 10 working days. What a job!
There are a few cattails starting to emerge but I'm sure this return will be minimal.

The four-man crew arrived on Thursday 10/20/11 and worked steadily through Saturday 10/22/11. The crew finished up on Monday 10/24/11. The weeds had grown up to 3' tall. I had sprayed them but they were too large and rooted for me to pull them up. The crew used a pump to clear the mud from the roots for easier and faster removal, then hauled them away by wheelbarrow to the trailer in the front yard. All of the crew members worked tirelessly and were courteous and friendly. There was a lot of concrete debris in the lake when the seawall was put in and that was all removed. They shoveled sand under the seawall where erosion had occurred, without my asking or even realizing there could be a problem. The entire crew was very pro-active.
Aaron arrived on Monday (with his wife) to oversee the completion of the project. He suggested I plant lilies along the seawall in the spring to prevent further erosion, which I agreed to do. He and his wife are affable and friendly. The lake is now competely cleared of weeds to the sandy lake bottom. It is a joy to look at and also get into to handle my paddle boat. I wish my neighbors would do the same for their lakefront so I would have a better view.
I mentioned to Aaron that I wanted to have the dock boards replaced since they were curling and some support beams were rotting. Aaron said he also builds and repairs docks, but would replace all framework and boards since the current structure is not sturdy enough. I will definitely hire Aaron's dock company to repair my dock when I am financially able to do so (Custom Built Docks and Decks, Inc.).
