I didn't find out the cause until I received a quote for service from another company. I followed the most recent visit up with calls to their office. The first time I was sent to voice mail and did not hear back until I called them 2 days later. I was then told they'd be out the following day. This did not happen either. We are very disappointed and now our lawn needs to be re-sodded.
We will not use them again nor recommend anyone else should.
UPDATE: Had to cancel the service. Last straw cae when they sent a indoor pest control technician to service the lawn. I was home the day he came and watched him spend less than 10 minutes on the lawn. He did not do anything to the bushes (but charged me). He left a blank note on the door, so no details about what he did. This was after I called about a specific problem.
"Communication with our clients is of utmost importance. Our business depends on it. Therefore our business cards include our cell phone numbers and email addresses so that our clients can contact us anytime. It is the responsibility of the account manager and sales consultant to return calls within 2 hrs. Since this did not happen for this customer, the account manager's employment with us has been terminated. As soon as I was aware of a problem, our operations manager tried several times to contact him to offer a complete lakefront clean up at "no charge". He will not speak to him and hangs up the phone when he identifies himself. Unfortunately we are unable to do anything to correct the problem since the client will not speak to us. On the positive side, the customer said we did a good job on the initial cleanup. Our follow up broke down and we lost not only a customer, but also an employee. When we make a promise or commitment to a client, we will follow through."
"OUR COMPANY BEGAN WORKING FOR THE MEMBER IN JULY 2006 AND CONTINUED WEEKLY UNTIL OCTOBER 2008. DURING THAT PERIOD OF TIME THE MEMBER SPENT OVER $70,000.00 ON SERVICES WITH OUR COMPANY. HE WAS A LOYAL AND VALUABLE CLIENT. WE PROVIDED THE FOLLOWING SERVICES; LAWN MAINTENANCE, IRRIGATION SERVICE, LAWN AND ORNAMENTAL FERTILIZATION AND PEST CONTROL, LANDSCAPE PLANTINGS AND UPGRADES. WE HAD AN ACCOUNT MANAGER RESPONSIBLE FOR COMMUNICATION WITH THIS CLIENT. THE CLIENT HAD MANY BUSINESS COMMITMENTS AND OUR ACCOUNT MANAGER FAILED TO COMMUNICATE PROPERLY WITH HIM, RESORTING TO DOOR HANGARS AND TALKING WITH HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS, BUT NOT THE CLIENT. THE CLIENT NEVER TOLD US OF ANY PROBLEMS THAT WE DID NOT IMMEDIATELY ADDRESS. THE ENTIRE PROBLEM IS A RESULT OF MISCOMMUNICATION AND OUR FAILURE TO ADDRESS THE CLIENTS NEEDS. HIS EXPECTATIONS WERE HIGH, BUT OUR SERVICE IS GENERALLY SUPERIOR TO ANY COMPETITOR. WE ACCEPT RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR SHORTCOMING AND HAVE MADE CHANGES TO OUR MANAGEMENT TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING AGAIN. WE ARE NEVER GOING TO BE SATISFIED WITH ANY RATING LESS THAN AN A AND WILL MAKE EVERY EFFORT TO SATISFY OUR CLIENTS."
