WINDOW WORLD Ocala/Gainesville

This branch is TERRIBLE. I have used Window World in Brevard on 3 house flips. Then started buying in Ocala area. Sharon the manager here is awful. She is super rude and unprofessional. The whole project last year was done wrong. I requested CWS windows made in Ocala they ordered different window manufacturer the windows don’t auto-lock and I am stuck with them. The front door and window they didn’t even order which put my project 3 extra months behind. Sharon had the nerve to ask me for text messages proving my door order and cws windows even though it was on the contract. What happened is the bidder put it in the basket for measurements and no one ever came out to measure for the door. I called multiple times to check on status never did they mention the door hadn’t been ordered till window install day and I was missing a door. They also installed a window with a huge hand print defect on the inside. They don’t quality check their windows prior to installing them only further delaying completion. It’s a complete cluster F$@K. Fast forward a year almost I am getting a bank loan now on the property and the bank is doing due diligence. They found Window World never closed out the NOC on my property so I may lose my underwriting due to delay. Sharon the manager blames my bank for not doing their job. They are literally doing due diligence and their job. Sharon makes excuses for all her and her office’s inadequacies and is a nasty person. She even hangs up on customers. They have absolutely no customer service skills or integrity. I try to reach the owners and they are nearly impossible to find and seem like they don’t care at all about their customers. They live in Brevard county they are not even local to Ocala. Out of sight out of mind. Will never do business with these incompetent, rude, lazy, unprofessional awful fraudulent business and people ever again!! The bidder and installers were the only good thing I can say about this company. I am an experienced property flipper and work with dozens of contractors. These people are terrible. Run!!

The salesman came to the house he gave me the price and I paid it. We agreed that the window would be replaced in the next 6 to 8 weeks. at 8 weeks I called the company and was told that they were waiting on the permit (which should have filed when the window was ordered) I waited 2 more weeks and called again, the excuse this time was that they were busy and were trying to put me on the schedule. Another 3 weeks passed and was finally contacted that the window would be replaced today 5/30/2018 was contacted this morning and told that the window could not be replaced because it was raining. I informed them that I wanted it done tomorrow and was told they would call me back. I received the call and was informed that they could get to it next Wednesday because of the forecast for rain. This process started the 2nd week of February and I'm still waiting. This company is a joke don't believe a word they say. If you have to save 50.00 over the cost of another provider be prepared to wait 4 months to get anything done if they do it at all.

We shopped around several different window companies, and Window World definitely had the best prices. We're not experts in home construction, but there didn't really seem to be a big quality difference between the windows from the different companies (Window World, YKK, PGT, Jeld-Wen, etc.)... they all build to the same codes. We really liked Window World's presentation. The sales rep who came to measure the windows brought a sample window and walked us through all the features. The purchase and installation all went smoothly, but we're still not finished, almost 2 months after installation. We were supposed to have 2 obscured glass windows, but one arrived with the wrong pattern, and the other was clear. It took 6 weeks to get an obscured window... that's 6 weeks of cardboard taped to our window in front of the shower while we waited for the obscured glass. We're still missing 2 screens and have not had our county inspection, so we still have all the stickers on the windows. Every time we call to get an update, it's like they've never heard about our order or the status of our windows. Lessons learned: (1) DO NOT let them install a window with the wrong glass... it's easier for them to swap the glass later, but you never know when that will be. (2) DO NOT authorize payment until all the windows and screens are installed and after the inspection is complete. We were impressed with the sales, installation, and lifetime warranty, but based on support since the install, we're not very happy with Window World.

It went well. Steve informed us as to styles and prices of windows. We contracted with Window World, waited a reasonable time for installation, and had them installed very professionally. Very happy with entire process.

They arrived to install our windows in 8 weeks , exactly as promised but that was the only thing that went well. We had multiple mistakes. (1)  The window over the bathtub was to be raindrop glass (an obscure glass that you couldn't see through) but they brought a clear glass window.   ( 2)   The 2 bedroom windows were to be clear glass windows with grids, what they brought were raindrop windows with grids (raindrop glass is obscure so you can not see  out  of the bedroom windows)  (3)  The great room had 2 large windows that we had clear slider windows with grids and full screens ordered. They only brought half screens so the full screens had to be reordered. Also the back slider windows (2 sections) had scratches in the glass, so those 2 sections had to be reordered. (3) Finally they had miss measured the patio doorway where we were replacing french doors with a sliding glass door. They had measured the opening at 8 foot, the opening was only a 6 foot opening. So that sliding glass door would have to be reordered. Also we had ordered a more decorative bronze handle for the sliding door that also was missing.  To reorder the correct items, would take another 8 weeks for delivery  We decided to leave the bathroom window clear so that was one problem fixed. So  8 weeks later they arrived to correct our issues and the sliding glass door was put in and the finished door is very nice. They changed out the scratched back slider panels and they looked very nice. However, the full screens that had been reordered did not fit well and they had to be reordered for the 3rd time. They only had one replacement window for the master bedroom windows so they had to reorder (for the 3rd time) the 2nd clear bedroom window with grids. They came  back for the 3rd time to remeasure for the full screens for the slider windows in the great room and to finally finish the last bedroom window.  But they had only sent one panel for the double hung window, and for the 4th time they had to reorder the last clear panel with grids for the master bedroom. It is now the beginning of June and we are still wait to have our window remodel completed. I did speak with the customer service department only once to inquire when we could expect this project to be completed. They were abrupt on the phone. When I was discussing the problems including the scratches on the slider windows, the woman I spoke with (wish I had gotten her name) told me that  windows sometimes have scratches and they are allowed if under a certain percentage. I told her that when I am purchasing windows I expect them to have no scratches when they are installed.  Long story short I will be so glad to have this project completed. I do love the quality of the windows but I have hated the delays and the fact that there have been so many reorders.  I just feel that once you have a signed contract they really lose interest in you and really don't care how  much this has put us out..  I do have to say that the actual installers have done a good job installing what they were provided. They were professional and polite. They did tell us that sometimes they can put a rush on an order and get it back in 2 to 3 weeks. But again when speaking to the woman in the office, she through them under the bus, and stated that they never do any rush orders.   Still waiting for completion.

Items received from factory quicker than I expected. Installation was professional (3 men). I am satisfied with Window World and will recommend them to others

It went well, it was more difficult because none of the windows in this house were standard sizes. Unfortunately one of the window frames was cracked, so it was installed with the understanding that when the window frame came in (remember they were all custom sizes) it would be installed. That was the only glitch in the process, as it took until July 28th for them to have a team available to replace that one window frame. The quality of the work was excellent. My air-conditioning bills have decreased, the workers arrived when they were expected and worked hard all day. It took 2 days for all the windows to be done, but I am thrilled with my windows. Now I just have to have them inspected

They had to remove the 8 old crankout windows and replace them with 8 new double pane insulated windows. What a difference in the temperature of the room. Wonderful!!. The three young men were prompt and got right to work. First they had to remove the old windows that unfortunately were GLUED into place. It might not have been such a problem but the temp outside was in the 50's!! They had to use a hair dryer to loosen the glue. Once that was done they quickly installed 8 new windows. They are beautiful, The men were very nice and hard workers. Unfortunately I didn't get their names but they were very pleasant. I would definitely use Window World of Ocala again if the need arose.

I forgot to mention Steve. He was the salesman who came first, showed us the windows. He was very informative and knowledgeable about which windows would work best in our front room. He answered all our questions and we felt confident that we were in good hands with Window World of Ocala.

Best price! Big box stores wanted charge over $1500.00 for the window. So very happy with them. Planning to replace other windiws and will call these people!

Absolutely excellent service. The quality of the window, quality of the windows and the quality of the workmanship was just excellent.

The quality of the windows is excellent - we have Anderson windows in our newly constructed sheds, and these Window World windows are thicker, and better overall quality. I love the way they tip out for cleaning, and they feel so heavy and substantial.
The salesman was professional, the windows arrived when promised (about 6 weeks from date of order), and they were installed professionally. The only reason I gave them a B on some points is that two of the windows did not fit, and have been reordered. But thank goodness the installation team was knowledgeable about this possibility, so they measured carefully BEFORE ripping out the old windows, so they knew which would and would not fit.
What I really love is that they are and quot;one stopand quot; shop - they manufacture the window, remove and discard the old windows, and install the new windows - all for one price.

We were really pleased with the windows and the installation. We bought the double pain windows. They needed to be ordered and arrived within the time framed scheduled. Greg, the "salesman" was nice and friendly. Harvey was the installer and he did a great job.
