USA Home Inspections

Recently when my house was under contract to sell, the Buyer's inspector found a long list of things that were not at all listed on my purchasing inspection. These problems were there at the time I purchased my home, and I would not have purchased it had I known. There is no way your inspector could have missed all of those blatant problems when the current inspector found them all. I lost my house contract and must now pay out of my pocket to fix all of those glaring problems. I will be out at least $20,000 for their mistake! This is a disaster that is killing me financially, and I want to be reimbursed for their negligence of my house. I called an attorney to sue them, but I don't have the money to pay an attorney because I have to pay all of this to fix my house. I then tried to leave a "review" on their website, but they only take positive reviews and have denied both of them. I have both inspection reports. Stay away from USA Home Inspections!

Pleasant, professional and very thorough. They did a great job and gave us peace of mind before buying our home. There were no unexpected problems later on either. Took a number of phones calls to get things setup for our home inspection. They were incredibly slow with responding to emails, reaching them via phone was also hit and miss. I will say the inspection who came out, Mark, was fantastic and very professional. Issues seem to be with the back office and those scheduling inspections. I would probably use them again and if you do just go in knowing you will have to reach out to them a number of times and have a bit of patience.

Home inspection was very thorough.

Wonderfully! USA Home Inspection was excellent and thorough from the time they answered my first phone call to sending my online report. My parents were present when Christian Castenada, the home inspector, was evaluating the property, and they were treated very respectfully and had all their questions answered to their satisfaction. I was so satisfied with their work that I went back to them to do the reinspection after the homeowner addressed the issues found. I would use them again in a heartbeat!

USA Home Inspection inspected the 1) roof, 2) exterior, 3) garage, 4) appliances, 5) interior, 6) plumbing, 7) electrical, 8) heating/air conditioning, 9) insulation & ventilation, 10) structure, 11) swimming pool. The final report was 51 pages, each section included statements on what is being inspected, photos of each item, and conclusions. The final report was provided with 24 hours of the physical inspection. The report to include pictures was very helpful with working with contractors performing subsequent repairs.

USA Home Inspections was outstanding. Christian was very thorough. Walked the roof, inspected the attic, tested every outlet, plumbing connection, appliance and mechanical component. When the garbage disposal would not work, he took a couple minutes to try to get it working and was successful. Went over all of the home's systems with me. As a Wisconsinite moving to Florida, he took time to explain some of the unique maintenance challenges and requirements for this climate. I can't recommend them more highly.

Everything went beyond expectations.... Curtis and Mark were exceptional with explaining everything to me and taking time to walk me around the whole home and answer any questions I may of had. They spent a good 3 hours at the house with me and made me feel comfortable with their knowledge and expertise

You should use USA Home Inspections for these reasons, then
read my review: 1. They include a WDI (termite) inspection with the home
inspection. This is a significant savings. 2. They give you a free subscription
to the home owners network that helps you find people, and ways to fix common
things around your house. It is extremely useful.
USA Home Inspections is NACA approved and came to my ?hope
to be? new home to provide an inspection. Curtis, one of the owners and another
associate came to perform the inspection. They poured over ever room with
detail, not only documenting everything, but showing me and keeping me
informed. As a first time home buyer I wasn?t quite sure the questions to ask,
or what I should do. That was no issue with them however; they were extremely
helpful in rooting out potential issues with the home so I could have more
bargaining power with the seller and knew what I am getting into if I purchase the house.
I greatly appreciate that the company was easily reached
without a long hold time, that they were professional: from receiving an
emailed quote, to booking service, to the inspectors researching house, and the
way they treated me, everything was easy.

Performed home inspection prior to purchase. They were very responsive with getting scheduled and finishing report. The negative review is a direct result of a couple of profound safety issues that were found with the home after my mother-in-law closed on the house. She was out of state, so we found this home inspector here on Angie's list and worked with them to get the home inspected. The items found after the closing included 2 windows that do not open and close properly and are safety risks because it would be very easy to burglar the home through either of those windows. Several of the remaining windows either do not have weather stripping or do not stay up when opened. It is very apparent this home inspector did not test any of the windows. Furthermore, when we moved her into the house this past weekend we went out into the garage and noticed a very strong smell from the gas. It's apparent there was not a thorough testing of the gas system done to determine where there might be a leak. Fortunately she has a home warranty in place to cover the gas leak, but we certainly would have had the windows taken care of by the seller before moving in. Just basic items that should have been checked by any competent home inspection.

These guys rock...consulted angieslist to find someone to inspect in Jacksonville area for our investment in a 180k home...found them and they provided the best inspection report we have ever seen. VEry professional crew and the inspector, christian, was AWESOME. very thorough and easy to talk to.

A bit of a communication problem on the front end with admin, but the inspector showed up when scheduled. He conducted a thorough inspection with extensive photo documentation. He went over everything with me verbally immediately post-inspection. The the written report was sent out within a week. His inspection led me to request a system specific inspection of the roof which satisfied my pre-purchase concerns. The only hiccup occurred when I had a post purchase Natural Gas inspection by the utility company. They immediately noticed something out of code which would require them to shut the gas off. This was missed, or perhaps an unknown code, by the USA inspector. Fortunately, I was given a few hours to do a quick repair myself and the gas was not turned off. I will be following up with USA to make them aware of this specific issue. That having been said, I'd use them again and would recommend them.

Very thorough.  4 plus hours.  Reviewed finding with me and at my request, the seller.  Provided a comprehensive report with every item accompanied by a photo in the final report.  
The report allowed me to address a few items with the seller and as to the minor issues, I know what I need to address after the deal closes.  The cost of the report was about 15% of the value of the seller concessions and repairs.
Highly recommend without reservations.
As an aside, I would not have found this inspection firm without Angie's list.

My wife and I were extremely happy with Mark from USA Home Inspections. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and most importantly...thorough! He spent about 4 hours inspecting the house we are in the process of buying. He paid close attention to details, and did a wonderful job explaining every single issue to us. We had a ton of questions for him as he worked his way around the house, and he was happy to answer them all. Mark really seemed to go above and beyond. This is my second home inspection I have ever had done, and this was incredibly better than my first experience.

They arrived on time and gave a detailed report on the home inspection. Happy with there service. I was not on the property at the time of inspection.
