Unfortunately, my experience with StraightLine did not go well. We were remodeling a 1700 square foot home, and split after 14 months, an enormous amount of money and little progress. We have spent over $100,000 to correct poor workmanship by StraightLine. Electrical underwired, hot wires left exposed. A new header was supposed to be installed securely and was not, causing the ceiling and a truss to crack. Sheetrock was placed over necessary spaces, but not over actual holes. A sub contractor backed into the newly added garage and cracked it to the roof. Trusses, cabinets and tile were all ordered (and installed) incorrectly. Cabinet space left for fridge was too small. Lot was not graded prior to the garage addition and water flooded into the garage and laundry. Exterior board and batten was done with untreated wood 2x4?s which would soon rot. OSB was used in soffits, not plywood. And those are only a few of the issues. (Staff was lovely, work was not.)

HORRIBLE RIP OFF EXPERIENCE!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Hired specifically to fix roof repair around chimney, which was leaking. They determined the roof over the enclosed porch needed replaced. I allowed this and next heavy rainfall, same leakage around chimney. Notified company. Ben came out (co-owner), he agreed the leak was still present and they would do whatever necessary to fix. They then accused us of being mean and scaring the team. This is totally false. They did not want to admit their error. It is 3 years now and chimney still leaks. They are not a reputable company. I would give a zero rating!

Given the number of subcontractors involved, the bathroom project took a while to complete. The foreman (Bryan) coordinating the project communicated well & frequently with me. I was disappointed at project close there was no followup or a thanks for my business

Straightline is great about giving advice and relaying their experience in the field. They have a good initiative in setting up your first feature of work fast. I would like to see more follow-through and communication for remaining or pending items. I have had to reach out continuously for further updates. Keep in mind their work is dependent on the availability of other contractors and services. If you are looking for some help fast (at the start) and at a premium, Straightline can do the work.

The job got done but it took almost 4 months to complete and an additional 3 months to close out (total of 7 months). Customer service was poor in the beginning, it got a little better when they knew I was angry and was almost nonexistent at the end. The only reason they followed up in the end (an additional 3 months later) is that they wanted a check. At closing, they learned that they missed 1 out of 7 recessed lights. It needs to be changed out because the light bulb in the cabinet door does not open. They told me that they would do it plus another small issue I brought to their attention. In addition, I handed them an unopened box from the cabinets to return. Since it was on their charge card, I felt they should return it as I did not want a store credit but the cashback. It was paid by me last summer but not needed, the item cost was about 75-100 dollars. I really expected the money back since I paid for the cabinet in full. It has been 2 months later and no call from them about completing the recessed light, sealing a cabinet, and a check for the returned item. I recently emailed them over a week ago, to remind them, and still no follow up. This appears consistent with their customer service throughout the project. I hate to say this but Florida has a way too many bad contractors. The biggest issue with StraightLine is that they do not do their own work, they hire other business contractors to do each job. You are at the mercy of their time schedules and the conduct of their employees (we found cigarette buds all over our driveway). StraightLine is only the middle man so you are paying more for work being done. Overall, it ended up costing me more.

I highly recommend this company for any home projects you may have. They did a fantastic job on replacing a window with a French door. All of the workers were polite and meticulous in their work. The project lead, Kevin, was terrific and kept me in the loop on when different people would be coming, etc. I love the finished project!

I had a very bad experience with this company. After saving up for five years to complete this first big home remodeling project I felt I was not in the best of hands. I believe that if you work hard and save for something as important as your family home and decide to go with a company to do a project, do your homework and research before making the final decision. I felt the company had poor and slow response to my multiple complaints regarding the craftsman ship and delays. I did not feel that my concerns were handled in a professional manner during multiple meetings conducted to discuss concerns, expectations, and delays. In my opinion the work completed by the sub-contractor was unprofessional and disappointing. Some customers may have had a positive experience, but when it came to my projects, I consider this to be my biggest mistake and feel I had the worst experience. After this experience, I would again recommend to everyone, do your research and get a company that are part of the: Building Officials Association of Florida. I personally would not hire them again, and I would not recommend them to anyone. I ask you take a very hard second look at what you are getting yourself into when hiring a home construction/remodeling construction company.

I had a really good experience with this company. This is my first big home improvement project and I was in good hands with them. They listened to me, they were easy to communicate with and I'm really happy with my new kitchen! The only thing I didn't like was that they offered me a discount to add my bathroom project, telling me it would be more expensive to come back and remodel the bathroom at a later date, however I didn't end up getting the discount on the bathroom work because I decided I wanted it too late into the kitchen project to get that deal, which I didn't realize was a factor.

We hired Straight Line Construction to do a complete renovation of our house, which is approx. 50 years old. Having never done this before, we didn't know where to start. The Straight Line team guided us through the process, answering questions and providing suggestions throughout the entire project. Their help and advice was invaluable. The work crews (demolition, plumbing, drywall, electrical, painting, etc.) were efficient, courteous, and easy to deal with. Tom, the supervisor, provided us with constant updates, explained upcoming processes, and always took the time to answer all of our questions. With any project of this size, there are bound to be some ups and downs. In our case, there was a problem with the floor tile in the master bath. Straight Line heard our concerns and re-tiled the shower floor to our satisfaction. The project also took longer than we expected, but it was all worth it in the end. Straight Line Construction is very professional and their team of Tom, Dan, Ben, Eliana and Wendy is absolutely wonderful to work with. Now that the project is completed, I have to say that Straight Line Construction transformed our house in a way we never thought possible. It is absolutely beautiful and we love it! Thank you, Straight Line for a job well done!

"Thank you for your feedback as this does help us grow and improve as a company. Work was completed almost 2 years ago and customer just reached out recently for the first time in almost 2 years for us to complete work outside the original scope and is claiming that it should be covered under warranty. We do warranty our work but not on scope or areas outside of what was contracted and agreed upon. We offered to help resolve his issue at a reduced rate but client refused. If there was an issue we would have expected to hear from client long before now and therefor feel this to be an unjust poor rating."

This company was hired late June 2019. They have not yet begun work. Communication from them is lacking. They ordered supplies which are sitting in my garage. I finally called and they expect to have pre meeting this week. In June I was told they could start right away. I cannot yet rate the workmanship. Grace T

I hired Straightline to do a remodel on my home. The owner, Dan, contacted me the next day after I sent a request and he scheduled a meeting for the day after that! On the first consult he arrived with several people from his company. His crew leader, his office manager, an interior designer and himself. They all listened to what I wanted and made suggestions and how to get it done. Dan was very honest with me and told me things that I didn t know that would effect the outcome and the price. He outlined the timeframes and explained everything in detail. I got a quote emailed the next day. When the work started it went very smoothly and they stayed not only on budget but on time. I was quoted 4-6 weeks and they were done in 5. During the process, I added a few things and they had no problem getting it all done. Throughout the whole process I could text them and someone got back to me with answers quickly. I am extremely happy with the quality of their work and my house is beautiful. I would highly recommend them.

We recently completed a project which included a master bathroom remodel and significant lighting improvements in the kitchen. Dan came out promptly to review the job and provide an estimate. He also offered ideas for design solutions to some issues we were wrestling with that turned out to be very effective. Working with his associates at Level Headed Properties Dan assured that our project was managed efficiently and brought highly professional, licensed craftsmen in to do glass work, electrical work, plumbing, carpentry and painting. The job was finished on time and at a reasonable cost. When it's time for our next project Dan will be the first guy I call.

They promised that they could get the job done faster than anyone and they held up to that promise and they even came earlier than the time they said. They are honest and they did a great job. The job took much longer than advised, granted a hurricane stopped progress for 5 days, it was hard to get progress started after the hurricane. All understandable ! Also,we had a trip scheduled, due to the delays, it took 3 weeks to get going again upon return. So an 8 day job (original estimate for the job) ended up taking nearly just over 2 months. All the employees were good people and attempted to be very helpful, but the 3week delay was very frustrating !
