OCALA LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT

The experience with this company was a nightmare for us! Their landscape designer's original plan was our budget. We informed their designer repeatedly that we had a firm $10,000.00 to work with. After the designer cut down his work, he contacted us informing us that he could landscape the lot with sod for $10,100.00 and asked if this amount was agreeable to us. We informed him the we would agree to the extra $100.00 but no more than that for the landscaping. Less than three weeks after this conversation and AFTER all of the landscaping was in place, we were sent a change order from the contractor which we refused to sign stating that the landscaping totaling $13,050.00, ALMOST $3,000.00 over the agreed upon price we settled with the landscape designer. An irrigation system was installed on this lot at the same time. After two calls to this company asking for help with the irrigation, the designer who we were originally working with came out. He informed us that they charged us $3,000.00 over and above the agreed upon price due to the fact that he miscalculated the amount of sod required. We asked him the question, "Required by whom?" We never required that much sod. We never authorized the additional $3,000.00 he charged for landscaping. We informed him we wanted the $3,000.00 of sod ripped out and not charged to us. It was never ripped out and WAS charged to us. Our question remains: How can a professional who designs landscaping every working day be $3,000.00 off on measuring sod for a 1/2 acre lot? To this day, we feel totally ripped off by this company and would never them recommend to anyone.
