MVB Appliance Sales and Service Repair

We bought 7 new appliances 5 days ago of which three had a problem. Called the service dept. took a day to get an answer. When they did answer they said that it would be at least 2 days before they could come to look at the units.I was told by Mike the owner that they take good care of their customers. So far I am not very impressed with his company.

He was very efficient did a great job. Super convent. Made it quick and easy.

Mike removed the freezer coil cover panel (side by side fridge) and patiently defrosted the coils which had excessive build up of ice due to defrost heater not working. This process took a while and he was very pleasant about it and was careful to towel up all the melted water from both inside the fridge and on the floor. Replaced the heater (he had the right one in his truck). The charge was exactly what the estimate was, even though it took quite a while to remove all the ice.
My only complaint is that he should have called to tell me he was running several hours late on a previous job and would not arrive on time.
Nice guy, very professional. Would definitely use him again for appliance repairs.

I saw a currant ad from Craigslist(posted today). They promise amazing deals. Washers starting at $135.00 and even save an extra 25 dollars if you purchase. I decided to go on out since my washer broke last week. I was TOTALLY disappointed. My first clue that it was shady was that there are NO prices on ANY of the appliances. When I asked, the guy told me that who ever is in charge of sales just renews the ads on Craigslist to get people in but they have such high turn over in appliance that they probably didn't have any more of those...Really? He then gave a general ..well some are $175.00 ...and they just go up from there. The one that I saw that was 175 looked to be a washing machine from the 70's!!! ..Seriously!! I honestly don't know how places like this stay in business. Prices should be marked clearly..don't just charge what ever you think a chump will shell out by the way they look. If you run a sale be honest and stand behind it or don't run it. What a waste of my time.

My dryer broke on Thursday night, the 21st. So, first thing Friday morning I started looking for a replacement. I didn't want a 'fancy' one with all the bells and whistles. My mother-in-law lives with us and she is 88, I just needed one for her to push start and for it to work. I called MVB appliance and he asked me what I was looking for, and I told him 'cheap'. Anyway, he had lots of options, but after talking to me he knew what I was looking for. It was also a must that it could be delivered and the broken one hauled away. He was busy Friday morning, but he could get to me Friday afternoon. He showed up when he said he would, and he arrived bringing 2 dryers for me to choose from. He brought the dryers to ME!! That's what I call customer service. He backed up to my garage and loaded the broken one up, and then set up the Whirlpool dryer that I chose. Anyway, very nice young man, who I believe is the owner. I would definitely recommend this company to anybody looking for an appliance. In fact, I recommended them to a friend on Saturday, when she posted on Facebook that her dryer broke. :-)
Overall, extremely pleased with the price and service.
