Had a thousand square feet of pool deck covered with epoxy river rock and within 6 months it turned white. We were never told this could happen and we were blamed for it. I had to clean it the first time with denatured alcohol then Mike resealed it. It has been resealed 3 times but it keeps coming back. Be very careful with this guy. He doesn’t know how to fix it. Didn’t refund anything and after 5 years I guess we are on our own when his warranty runs out.

Mike Reimer, owner of Mid-State Stone was here to install River Rock over our 300 sq ft concrete Lanai. The object was two-fold. 1) enhance the look of the floor and 2) to cover a lengthy crack that was increasing in size. Mission accomplished. Very small pebbles (3/16") were expertly troweled into clear epoxy to provide a smooth finish. Terrific job. Only took 4 hours including the power wash and clean-up. 24 hours to cure. Mike and his helper, John arrived on time and worked straight through to complete the job as he said they would. Personable and polite. He also does garage floors, driveways, pool decks, concrete repair, and clear coating. He's been in business 35 years. Licensed and insured. Couldn't be happier with the end result.

Called to get an estimate about redoing the pool deck area and patio area, Mike showed up early for estimate, which was about $2000 less than another estimate we received.  We gave him the go ahead and everything went very well.  It took two days to complete and it came out beautiful, we are very pleased and happy.  Mike was very professional and explained how the job was going to be completed.  Again, Mike and his assistant did a very nice job and I definitely would recommend highly and if we need to have other stone work done we would use him again.

Set up and clean up as well as laying the floor was professional and looks great. Not dry yet, so haven't walked on it. We saw the same type of floor that was installed on a Lani in 1998 and for the most part it looked brand new. It takes very little maintainance and can easily be cleaned by blowing off debris. Also, is non slippery and porous. There are several different color applications to chose from. We chose the red/brown/tan combo. Real pretty.

Before laying the expoxy/stone mixture, he and his associate cleaned the concrete. Then, he ground down the outside slab in areas for door clearance. He also painted the edges of the concrete in a color that blended with the flooring. He provided an estimate on Friday, gave me a reference and contacted the reference to ask if I could see the job he had done for them. When I decided to do the job, he scheduled it for the following Tuesday. He called me Monday to reschedule because rain was forecasted on Tuesday. He arrived at the scheduled time on Thursday and completed the work. He was very professional and efficient, but paid attention to quality. The floor looks beautiful--from a distance it looks like a berber carpet. He has a booth at the Marion Market and that's where I learned about him. I signed up there to get information on a Sunday, and he called me within a few days. He does offer a warranty on his work (I believe it's for 3 years). He was very upfront about the need to reapply epoxy to maintain the floor---ususally within 3 years. The floor requires almost no regular cleaning---after two weeks it looks exactly as it did the first day it was installed---because of the multicolored stones, it does not show dirt. We were told to do occasional pressure washing. We used to have water pools on the concrete after rain where the rain gathered. It does not do that now.
