"Mr. [Member Name Removed], It is unfortunate you had a negative experience with us. To address the issues stated, your initial service call was a cleaning/inspection. While we always honor our work and schedules, the temperatures in our area have been exceeding 90 degrees daily. When emergencies arrive, which they do daily, we have to prioritize. An elderly or ill person with no air conditioning at all will be given priority over someone who has air in their home as the elderly person can become very ill. That is what happened in your situation. I am sorry you had to be rescheduled but it was a necessity. As to wearing a mask, all technicians have proper protection on their service vehicles. We follow CDC guidelines. As you know, those guidelines change frequently. Had you specified a technician wear a mask before entering your home when you made your appointment, this would be a non issue. As to the cost of the thermostat, if you expect to pay Lowes or Home Depot prices, that should have been the route to take. Our service includes the labor it took to schedule your appointment, retrieve your requested thermostat, drive to your home and install it and process your warranty and paperwork afterwards. As to the programming, we would have had to charge extra labor to do that as it varies depending on your preference, internet speed, router and connection. Our job is to install it, make sure it works with your system and then it is up to you to do your own internet connections with passwords, service, programming, etc. The information about the product we provided was you stated to our GM you wanted an exact replacement or close to it. We have a wide range of products we could have offered but we were abiding by your request. Miscommunication was very prevalent in your experience. I hope this clarifies for you. We wish you well in your future endeavors."
